Great playground and cool workout area for adults (13+, to be technical).
Looks like bathrooms are being built. Nice little trails and multiple paved paths that lead to the baseball fields.
Picnic tables, benches, and plenty of room to bring a chair.
The playground area itself is great for toddlers up to maybe 11 or 12. 2 zip line runs, a merry-go-round that is enclosed and spins pretty fast compared to most these days, a bunch of cool interactive stations with bells, chimes, gears, and the multi sensory areas that are pretty common on modern jungle gyms. A few ADA areas add a new inclusive touch. The ground is turf, a long grass feeling type with a bouncey base that's great at cushioning your average fall. There's a second playground if the newer ones filled, which at peak times it will be. It's older but has a cool central hub style design with several slides. Next to that are a set of swings, but they're the nothing special standard kid and baby type.
There are currently portajohns, or you can walk about 5 minutes over to the fields where there are brick and mortar open ones for most of the year (not sure on timeframe).
The workout area is full of resistance equipment and for what's there you could make a full circuit out of them. It's actually really cool. From balance exercises to benches with foot holds for sit ups, etc, even hand pedal bike.
Beyond the playgrounds but still in that general area is a large pavilion that can be rented. It's got a bunch of picnic tables and from what I'm told power hookups. I'm sure the city can give you the most accurate info if you call to reserve it.
Lastly let's talk sun and shade. There are a handful of trees near the park as well as a line of trees that borders the parks western edge. The new playground area has lots of little areas of shade for the kids, but not much for the parents. If you come in the middle of summer in the afternoon it's gonna be toasty. Not far from the playground area you can find some more trees and set up chairs or bring canopies like so many people seem to have these days.
Not far from there are stores and gas stations if you need to grab snacks and drinks. I believe the far bathroom by the fields has a fountain but I'm not positive.

A beautiful, well-maintained park (I should know 😉) with plenty of amenities, including baseball and softball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts, a dog park, pavilions, a baby park, a kids park (Ben Celani), a workout area, and unfortunately courts for that annoying AF pickle ball. A great place to walk, grill out with friends, or bring the kids.

This park is terrible! We have a soccer game here and the lack of bathrooms is unacceptable for the amount of people attending games here. The porta John’s are disgusting and don’t seem to have been changed in at least a month. The smell is disturbing. The Hawks is supposed to be a top notch club and this is the field you have? It is bad enough the parking is terrible and the turf looks like it is from the 80’s and you offer no clean bathrooms for teams coming 45 minutes to 1 hour away.

This park is pretty unkept. Long grass, grass and weeds growing in the mulched play areas, and equipment could use maintenance and cleaning. There is also some profane drawings in permanent marker on the play sets.

This park had been a mainstay of my life for near 45 years. It has a bit of everything including Pickleball. It has tame deers that you could probably kill with your bare hands. Great baseball diamonds, bathroom facilities and hiking trails. Basically nothing here that you are missing. Also, for those people needing to sneak away for quickies or affairs there are several areas you can park and hide. Get er done!

As a nature enthusiast, I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bicentennial Park in Livonia, MI, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations in many ways. This well-maintained park provided a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a serene and beautiful environment for visitors of all ages to enjoy.

One of the first things that struck me about Bicentennial Park was its ample parking facilities and easy accessibility. Upon arrival, I found plenty of parking spaces, making the start of my visit stress-free. The park's location within Livonia also makes it convenient for both residents and travelers passing through the area.

The park's vast green spaces and well-groomed walking trails immediately caught my eye. It's the perfect spot for nature walks, jogging, or cycling, and the scenery is delightful all year round. During my visit in the summer, the lush foliage and colorful flowers were a feast for the eyes, while the fall foliage promises to be equally stunning.

Families and groups of friends will appreciate the various amenities Bicentennial Park has to offer. The picnic areas are spacious and well-shaded, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing outdoor meal. The park also features well-maintained playgrounds, which were teeming with joyous children. It's evident that this park has been designed with families in mind.

What truly sets Bicentennial Park apart is its array of sports facilities. Whether you're a sports enthusiast or just looking to have some fun, you'll find something to enjoy here. The baseball and soccer fields are well-maintained, providing ample space for organized games or casual play. Additionally, the park has basketball courts that are perfect for shooting some hoops.

I was pleasantly surprised to discover the scenic pond within the park. Not only does it add to the overall aesthetics, but it also provides an opportunity for fishing, adding a different dimension to the park's offerings. Nature lovers and birdwatchers will also enjoy observing the various bird species that inhabit the area around the pond.

Another commendable aspect of Bicentennial Park is the presence of clean and well-maintained restroom facilities. This attention to detail adds to the overall positive experience of visiting the park.

Overall, Bicentennial Park in Livonia, MI, is a wonderful place to spend time outdoors. Whether you're looking for a tranquil nature walk, a fun-filled day with family and friends, or engaging in sports activities, this park has something for everyone. The park's cleanliness, accessibility, and beautiful surroundings make it a top-notch destination for locals and visitors alike. I highly recommend paying a visit to Bicentennial Park for a rejuvenating and enjoyable outdoor experience.

This is a very active park with lots of space and a variety of activities to choose from. Ya, sometimes people have a bad day and are rude, and don't keep their dogs on leash, or polute the fresh air with their various forms of smoking/vaping. Sometimes fans and coaches lose their cool and ruin it for the players. For the most part it's a good environment. The evenings get pretty busy with ballgames and the weekends are packed with family parties. The days are full of people enjoying the fresh air and moving their bodies to stay healthy. The trails are nice and pretty well marked but real easy to navigate. I've been coming here since the 70' and witnessed its transformation. The facilities are decent and daily maintained.

Nice little place for sure. There are a ton of places to park in many different areas. There's all kinds of things to do. Hiking trails, sports facilities, playgrounds, picnic area and tables. It's conveniently located right on 6 mile and despite being in a busy area, it has the appeal of a remote location. Definitely recommend for anyone with kids, anyone that enjoys the outdoors or anyone that likes to relax outside.

We love this space! There’s great trails (though take note of directions because everyone gets lost their first time or two). We often watch baseball games that are going on and it’s one of the better playgrounds we’ve been to. Very dog friendly.
We go to Bicentennial almost every Saterday morning for the Livonia Parkrun. They are the best group we have ever met. My son loves to run and we found a second home with these great parkrunners / walkers. They have been super great with us and treat us like family since day 1.

My 2-year-old just about started talking and pointing out stuff so when we were randomly driving around, he saw the playground and started talking so we couldn't help ourselves but get down and give him some playtime. Playground seems to be holding up and it had some variety going on. We were there a little before 7:00 p.m. so there literally was no one else around.

Very nice ,clean park for the kids/family . They have a huge jungle gym for the kids to run & play on & even a few picnic tables under a gazbo to get out of the sun. Complete with grills to cook up a few snacks or a meal. Lots of room to run & they have a couple baseball diamonds too & there's no shortage of trash cans close by so you shouldn't have to worry about where to Throw your Trash. 👍🏻🌝 they even have a port-a-potty. Definitely a 5 star park.

Amazing park with lots to do. I took my 12 month daughter and she was able to do a lot there from crawling and walking. There’s lots of space and all sorts of different toys and swings and play sets. There’s even a huge sand box area. I would highly recommend. There’s some shady areas but not too many. You spend a decent amount of time here so bring water and snacks and sunscreen. I brought a picnic blanket as well since there is lots of areas to play in the grass and run around too.

This was a nice paved walk path that did a loop where you could choose to walk into the subdivision. It is close to the freeway so there's definitely the car noise. There is one trash along the walkway a little playground. And some good parking. I probably wouldn't go again only because of how much freeway traffic noise there was.

But I took my handicap friend there on her bike and she was able to bike on the paved sidewalk so that was a plus.

Beverly Park is nestled in a Livonia subdivision that offers a pavilion with picnic tables and even a charcoal grill. There is also field area for running around in addition to: a tire swing; a handicapped swing; infant, and little kids' swing sets; a climbing structure; rope bridge; a large play structure with multiple slides; a smaller child play structure; and more features. There are also 3 or 4 be benches and the street side is fenced. Never too congested.

My 5 year-old frequents Beverly Park.

This is a great park. It has a lot of native Oak trees that the neighborhood was actually built around. I suspect a few of the trees in this park are over 100 years old. It is interesting too that the developers in the 1920s (old Rosedale) and in the 1950s (the State streets and new Rosedale) did not cut the trees down. Also, the park is illuminated at night. The playground equipment is new as well.

Small neighborhood playground. We tried going to the Rotary park yesterday and there were so many people there (very few if any wearing masks) so we left right away and headed to Beverly park. There were NO kids on the playground when we got there so my daughter was able to enjoy herself freely. Other people did show up after an hour or so, and we left in order to let those kids play while maintaining social distancing.

We have been living in Livonia for going on six years and each time at Dooley Park is a riot!!!

Plenty of slides to fly down, bridges to cross and ladders to climb!!!

Right behind it is a nice little paved pathway that floods every once in a while but your able to walk in between or around it to get to your destination.

We really enjoy it here and hope you experience the same joy and fun as we do!!!

I love Compton Park. We've been taking our kids to this park since we moved to Livonia 5 years ago!!!

We love going here, especially in the area my kids named "Acorn Cove", where all the beautiful trees call in a nice breeze each time we are there.

Outside of Dooley Park being the main attraction in Compton Village as far as parks go, "Red Park" or "Miracle Park" is our go to spot. It's nice small and usually doesn't have too many bigger, older children playing there. Great for infants and toddlers.

Thank you Livonia Parks and Rec for manicuring this park!!!

A lot of the playground equipment is in the shade in summer afternoons, which is very important to me. And there are picnic tables if you bring a lunch or refreshments. There's a really tall metal slide which, if it weren't in the shade, would be too hot to slide on in the summer.
