Reviews

Nice park, lots of open space. Clean up after your dog people. You know who you are.

The Park was Great! The kids had a Wonderful Time with All the different play areas! Even though a lot of other kids were there within their parents it never felt crowded.

Big, open area. Decent little play structure. Swings. Also a school next door with an open playground. Nice walking path for dogs bikes people.

Great playground and cool workout area for adults (13+, to be technical).
Looks like bathrooms are being built. Nice little trails and multiple paved paths that lead to the baseball fields.
Picnic tables, benches, and plenty of room to bring a chair.
The playground area itself is great for toddlers up to maybe 11 or 12. 2 zip line runs, a merry-go-round that is enclosed and spins pretty fast compared to most these days, a bunch of cool interactive stations with bells, chimes, gears, and the multi sensory areas that are pretty common on modern jungle gyms. A few ADA areas add a new inclusive touch. The ground is turf, a long grass feeling type with a bouncey base that's great at cushioning your average fall. There's a second playground if the newer ones filled, which at peak times it will be. It's older but has a cool central hub style design with several slides. Next to that are a set of swings, but they're the nothing special standard kid and baby type.
There are currently portajohns, or you can walk about 5 minutes over to the fields where there are brick and mortar open ones for most of the year (not sure on timeframe).
The workout area is full of resistance equipment and for what's there you could make a full circuit out of them. It's actually really cool. From balance exercises to benches with foot holds for sit ups, etc, even hand pedal bike.
Beyond the playgrounds but still in that general area is a large pavilion that can be rented. It's got a bunch of picnic tables and from what I'm told power hookups. I'm sure the city can give you the most accurate info if you call to reserve it.
Lastly let's talk sun and shade. There are a handful of trees near the park as well as a line of trees that borders the parks western edge. The new playground area has lots of little areas of shade for the kids, but not much for the parents. If you come in the middle of summer in the afternoon it's gonna be toasty. Not far from the playground area you can find some more trees and set up chairs or bring canopies like so many people seem to have these days.
Not far from there are stores and gas stations if you need to grab snacks and drinks. I believe the far bathroom by the fields has a fountain but I'm not positive.

Nice wooded park. All of the play structures are in the shade!

A nice park, lots of room to play outdoor games. Also cool to watch the many soccer games in the soccer field

A beautiful, well-maintained park (I should know 😉) with plenty of amenities, including baseball and softball diamonds, soccer fields, tennis courts, a dog park, pavilions, a baby park, a kids park (Ben Celani), a workout area, and unfortunately courts for that annoying AF pickle ball. A great place to walk, grill out with friends, or bring the kids.

A simple family friendly city park that is well maintained, pet and children friendly. Good for walking yourself and/or your dog.

Almost completely covered by trees so it was cooler inside.the trail than outside. Pretty quiet, got lost but just used maps to get back out 😅

This park was nice. A lot bigger then the pictures . Fenced in too! Not in a busy area.

This park is terrible! We have a soccer game here and the lack of bathrooms is unacceptable for the amount of people attending games here. The porta John’s are disgusting and don’t seem to have been changed in at least a month. The smell is disturbing. The Hawks is supposed to be a top notch club and this is the field you have? It is bad enough the parking is terrible and the turf looks like it is from the 80’s and you offer no clean bathrooms for teams coming 45 minutes to 1 hour away.

Stopped here for the first time to attend a baby shower. Pavilion was good and tables were in good condition. Playground seemed very nice with lots of children running around .

One of many nice parks in Livonia.

This park is pretty unkept. Long grass, grass and weeds growing in the mulched play areas, and equipment could use maintenance and cleaning. There is also some profane drawings in permanent marker on the play sets.

Looks great 👍 never been there 😀 just drove by it 😀

Beautiful quaint park perfect for an evening stroll. They also have a good variety of playground equipment, mature trees with open space, picnic shelter, park benches and port-a potties. Set within a quiet neighborhood, feels very safe.

This park had been a mainstay of my life for near 45 years. It has a bit of everything including Pickleball. It has tame deers that you could probably kill with your bare hands. Great baseball diamonds, bathroom facilities and hiking trails. Basically nothing here that you are missing. Also, for those people needing to sneak away for quickies or affairs there are several areas you can park and hide. Get er done!

Nature lovers and birdwatchers will also enjoy observing the various bird species that inhabit the area around the pond.
Another commendable aspect of Bicentennial Park is the presence of clean and well-maintained restroom facilities. This attention to detail adds to the overall positive experience of visiting the park.

Some beautiful trees but mostly for sports & kids playground. At least one port-a-potty & a few picnic tables.

This is a very active park with lots of space and a variety of activities to choose from. Ya, sometimes people have a bad day and are rude, and don't keep their dogs on leash, or polute the fresh air with their various forms of smoking/vaping. Sometimes fans and coaches lose their cool and ruin it for the players. For the most part it's a good environment. The evenings get pretty busy with ballgames and the weekends are packed with family parties. The days are full of people enjoying the fresh air and moving their bodies to stay healthy. The trails are nice and pretty well marked but real easy to navigate. I've been coming here since the 70' and witnessed its transformation. The facilities are decent and daily maintained.

Nice small little park. Lots of open space, a couple of soccer fields, and a decent play space...

Park off of the baseball diamonds leaves a lot to be desired but for those interested in twnnis and baseball its a great park. Ample parking with attached parking lot and curb side parking allowed next to the diamonds.

Amazing park! Love the various parts in the playscape that keep the adults engaged with the kids. Great, vibrant color scheme. Very very very clean park. We attended a birthday party in the picnic area. Glad there were Restrooms on site!

Nice little place for sure. There are a ton of places to park in many different areas. There's all kinds of things to do. Hiking trails, sports facilities, playgrounds, picnic area and tables. It's conveniently located right on 6 mile and despite being in a busy area, it has the appeal of a remote location. Definitely recommend for anyone with kids, anyone that enjoys the outdoors or anyone that likes to relax outside.

We love this space! There’s great trails (though take note of directions because everyone gets lost their first time or two). We often watch baseball games that are going on and it’s one of the better playgrounds we’ve been to. Very dog friendly.

We go to Bicentennial almost every Saterday morning for the Livonia Parkrun. They are the best group we have ever met. My son loves to run and we found a second home with these great parkrunners / walkers. They have been super great with us and treat us like family since day 1.

Nice little park

My 2-year-old just about started talking and pointing out stuff so when we were randomly driving around, he saw the playground and started talking so we couldn't help ourselves but get down and give him some playtime. Playground seems to be holding up and it had some variety going on. We were there a little before 7:00 p.m. so there literally was no one else around.

I love that place! Reminds me of my younger years hanging out in the neighborhood with the Favor family (George & Ruth) to be exact. I come up there every now & then with my Grandkids now. Don't live too far away. Nice play area. Feel safe there.

Excellent park to spend time with your family and friends. There are lots of colorful swings, climbing bars, ect...
Handicap accessible parking, restroom, dog friendly and picnic tables available for family outing. Highly recommend

Very nice ,clean park for the kids/family . They have a huge jungle gym for the kids to run & play on & even a few picnic tables under a gazbo to get out of the sun. Complete with grills to cook up a few snacks or a meal. Lots of room to run & they have a couple baseball diamonds too & there's no shortage of trash cans close by so you shouldn't have to worry about where to Throw your Trash. 👍🏻🌝 they even have a port-a-potty. Definitely a 5 star park.

Great place for baseball, kickball, to practice those sports. Has a cute walkway through it, it's located around almost on a corner and makes a great area to walk to dog. There's a small playground that was recently built, Greta for you g kids. There's also 4 courts for pickleball.

Amazing park with lots to do. I took my 12 month daughter and she was able to do a lot there from crawling and walking. There’s lots of space and all sorts of different toys and swings and play sets. There’s even a huge sand box area. I would highly recommend. There’s some shady areas but not too many. You spend a decent amount of time here so bring water and snacks and sunscreen. I brought a picnic blanket as well since there is lots of areas to play in the grass and run around too.

Watched the grandkids play ball on the field. The playground is very nice it just needs better grooming. The big beautiful trees have the area littered with sticks.

Had my son's 11th birthday Gel Blaster Battle @ Rotary Park Pavillion 2 and it was terrific. So many activities for all ages. Big brothers refereed the games. Pet friendly. Volleyball, tennis court, baseball diamond, & we brought our own kickball set for extra fun. Parking and restrooms was conveniently close and very tidy. Staff was friendly and available when needed. 5 Stars for sure.

Nice little park behind a school. There's a decent play structure and a small baseball diamond. LOTS of open field for setting up whatever games/activities you want. Ample parking.

Not much here but a couple baseball diamonds. No porta John. Not much parking either.

Solid place to walk the hound. Neighborhood is clean and friendly. Free poop bags. Lots of trash bins. Place to grill and coverd tables. Mini playground for kids. Plenty of parking.

Housing development going in. Ball fields are pretty bad and the play area is not very large. No bathroom or port a John. No parking.

Nice neighborhood playground with open field adjacent. Not great parking options, and often floods during wet season

Nice place to walk. Knew Harry professionally and the park is an appropriate honor for his service.

the ground was spongey and the puddles deep. A mated pair of wild mallards visited the temporary wetlands. the wood chips around the swings and play structure made them usable.

Very small play area. Might as well have your kids play at the school next to it

Awesome park! Multiple good size soccer fields. Excellent place to get together for teams and enjoy. This place is extremely beneficial for the community. Truly one of a kind.

Love this park.
Play set is nice. They have picnic tables and a charcoal grill..soccer fields are beautiful with lots of room to fly kite drive RC cars, it can get busy with soccer at times so expect that on certain weekends and week days.

Great neighborhood playground for the kids. My 4 year old loves it and there are nature trails and a bridge behind the ball fields.

Nice toddler friendly playground. Lots of open space and shade with the trees and paths. Port a potty nearby which is great!
Clean, nice neighborhood.
Clean, nice neighborhood.

We love bringing our Togo meals to bicentennial Park especially The breakfast club. We want to start a new tradition every Sunday to come to this park with The breakfast club. They have amazing sandwiches. I love coming to the park we have been here on so many good occasions, my daughter's second birthday ate a cake here. Always nice to take a break in nature looking forward to going for a walk around after thank you so much.

Bicentennial park is the real gem! It has nature trails, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, fitness areas, playgrounds and so much more. I can say for the last 20 years Livonia has always done their job to maintain this park in every way! It is always clean and the residents of Livonia truly appreciate it ❤️

It's a cute little park... more suitable for kids under 4 or 5

This was a nice paved walk path that did a loop where you could choose to walk into the subdivision. It is close to the freeway so there's definitely the car noise. There is one trash along the walkway a little playground. And some good parking. I probably wouldn't go again only because of how much freeway traffic noise there was.
But I took my handicap friend there on her bike and she was able to bike on the paved sidewalk so that was a plus.

My kids love this park. Not super crowded, safe, and nice. It seems relatively new.

Great view.

Beverly Park is nestled in a Livonia subdivision that offers a pavilion with picnic tables and even a charcoal grill. There is also field area for running around in addition to: a tire swing; a handicapped swing; infant, and little kids' swing sets; a climbing structure; rope bridge; a large play structure with multiple slides; a smaller child play structure; and more features. There are also 3 or 4 be benches and the street side is fenced. Never too congested.
My 5 year-old frequents Beverly Park.

Explant park play scape 5//12year old plcnic area .shady and sun area walking path easy parking.

Adorable little nature trail in the middle of the forest! Moderate difficulty in terms of terrain, but there's so many nice views because the path runs next to a small river. Lots of fallen trees make for a good climb as well!

This is a great park. It has a lot of native Oak trees that the neighborhood was actually built around. I suspect a few of the trees in this park are over 100 years old. It is interesting too that the developers in the 1920s (old Rosedale) and in the 1950s (the State streets and new Rosedale) did not cut the trees down. Also, the park is illuminated at night. The playground equipment is new as well.

Very nice turf field for 11x11, or two 9x9s. There is also a 4x4 and two 7x7s. No concession stand or permanent restrooms. Adequate parking but, like most soccer venues, gets packed when all fields are in use.

Was a nice spot for my family and me to stop and eat our lunch. Had a few picnic tables and a little play area for my toddlers to enjoy. Lots of shade

Small neighborhood playground. We tried going to the Rotary park yesterday and there were so many people there (very few if any wearing masks) so we left right away and headed to Beverly park. There were NO kids on the playground when we got there so my daughter was able to enjoy herself freely. Other people did show up after an hour or so, and we left in order to let those kids play while maintaining social distancing.

Perfect soccer park, tends to be open fields early in the morning. The Wolves own it so when their training sessions kick in you have to clear out, but nice grass fields off to the side as well. Great for small trainings!

The new walking path is very nice!!

Amazing

Beautiful trail!

i like this park a lot mostly because of the soccer field. there’s always many soccer nets available around the park and the field is so nice!!! turf is very nice and there’s big fence/netting behind the soccer nets so you don’t have to chase your ball if you shoot over.

It was a nice quick walk. Will return during flowering season.

We have been living in Livonia for going on six years and each time at Dooley Park is a riot!!!
Plenty of slides to fly down, bridges to cross and ladders to climb!!!
Right behind it is a nice little paved pathway that floods every once in a while but your able to walk in between or around it to get to your destination.
We really enjoy it here and hope you experience the same joy and fun as we do!!!

I love Compton Park. We've been taking our kids to this park since we moved to Livonia 5 years ago!!!
We love going here, especially in the area my kids named "Acorn Cove", where all the beautiful trees call in a nice breeze each time we are there.
Outside of Dooley Park being the main attraction in Compton Village as far as parks go, "Red Park" or "Miracle Park" is our go to spot. It's nice small and usually doesn't have too many bigger, older children playing there. Great for infants and toddlers.
Thank you Livonia Parks and Rec for manicuring this park!!!

A lot of the playground equipment is in the shade in summer afternoons, which is very important to me. And there are picnic tables if you bring a lunch or refreshments. There's a really tall metal slide which, if it weren't in the shade, would be too hot to slide on in the summer.

It's okay is about all income say it's a small park no picnic tables and a small play scale for younger kids not a lot to do but definitely big enough to build some more than they have now.

We are loving this trail through the woods! Thank you, City of LIvonia!

Great bike trail through the woods!

Big open park. Nice playground and a covered picnic area with a small grill. Portable toilets available except in winter. Lots of parking and a nice paved walking path around the park. Even has its own little free library.

A Nice clean park. Smaller play structure but lots of shaded open grass to play in. Has a couple picnic tables and benches to sit on. Not handicap accessible.

Nice and shaded. Lots of open space. Livonia is awful about keeping parks maintained, but this one is usually well trimmed. Still, all these parks need new equipment.

Not really much to see here.

It's a good park has soccer and baseball fields nice playgrounds but it is very very muddy and the grass in some areas it very tall

Great small neighborhood park. The play structure is well maintained but there is limited shade. There is an outdoor ice rink for winter fun. There is no parking lot and only a porty potte.

The hunting spot

Walked the dog

Very nice and quiet. Also met and had great conversation with a wonderful senior who brought his two beautiful, friendly golden retrievers. Thanks for reading. Be blessed:)

Cute little park in the subdivision :)

Ample neighborhood park with a little playground structure. Potty restroom, no water fountain. Ideal for flying a kite or running/jogging in loops around paved path. A bit of noise from the highway is always in the background. A small shelter structure with picnic tables but not so many trees.

Nice park with 3 baseball fields, 2 tennis courts, a roller hockey rink with one net, and tons of play equipment. Their is also a pavilion and several fixed picnic tables.

A fine small park with several play structures. Adjacent to an elementary school (Grant). No shade by the school, but on the north side there's another playground in the shade. Beware of the mud during spring.

Always an awesome place to watch hockey.. my son loves there Ice!
It's a great old style facility! Always a clean inviroment!

Nice park with play sets, swings and baseball fields. Port-a-potty and trash can near the southwest corner. Also has a Pokestop and a Pokemon Gym. The park also hosts football practices.

My niece and I hid some rocks there and played with a new friend, Michael!

My son enjoys the swings and playscape. The nearby pavilion provides seating and great shade. Always clean when my family visits. Nice track for walking. The noise from the freeway is terrible and cars tend to speed down Eccles.

Great little park. Lots of trees, not sure what other review was talking about. 3 playgrounds. 3 baseball fields.

A nice little community park with a few things for kids to play on

Play structure is designed for ages 7 and up. Areas were younger children can fall a long way. No play structure for younger ones. Grass is very plush and green. Nice sunny park with minimal trees. Outhouse near parking lot. Overall great if you have older kids.
