Beautiful park. Well maintained. The walking path is excellent. Great clean restrooms. Playgrounds and splash pads for the kids. Lots of dogs are walking, too.

Visiting family in Lake Charles area. Unfortunately the children's area is closed on Monday's for maintenance and grounds up keep. But it was a beautiful morning so we walked along the sidewalk. There is a beautiful memorial for 911. As well as other things along the water front. We enjoyed it!
This park has an amazing playground. It’s expansive and compatible with kids of all ages. It’s naturally setup with a nautical theme with a large pirate ship sitting as a center piece. There are separate areas for the big kids and little kids. There are plenty of slides and swings and the typical stuff, but there are also some interesting home grown features that I’ve not seen anywhere else.

It’s also super secure with two fences that ensure the kids aren’t going to escape.

The bathrooms are surprisingly clean and there is a splash pad for the summer months.

This is a jewel.

We love this park! WE can rock crawl, have fun in the park and enjoy the breeze coming in while walking the deck. Awesome park!!
Great fenced in park with a variety of play equipment for children to explore and have fun. There are different areas for younger and older children.

It does not have a splash pad.

In this area it’s hot during the summer. Go earlier in the morning. It’s more tolerable.

Be aware that the park is closed on Mondays until 1:00 PM for cleaning and maintenance.

It could use some pressure cleaning in some areas. Apparently the birds like the playground too, if you catch my drift.
I have come to this park for many years! The updates and rebuild after Hurricane Rita have made it an even nicer place to relax with family and friends. Grands like to fish here.

Looks like they are doing repairs on one side of the park. The boat launch area is open so is the canoe and kayak area.

Travelled to Lake Charles for a weekend getaway. Toured Millennium Park which is by the lake. Beautiful property. Had a memorial from 9/11 which brought so many thoughts back on that day. They have an are with a stage and a grassy knoll to sit on a blanket to enjoy music, plays and other arts. Just so happened they had a concert with 3 local bands that we returned to in the evening. It was free of charge. Had artist booths, food trucks and beer. Sodas and water were free. Everyone had a great time. Loved it !!!!!

What a great park! Combination of Veterans and 9/11 memorial as well as a Founders Landing. Well-maintained park people and pet friendly. Runs parallel to the lakefront walk which is beautiful. The entire atmosphere is really a nice place for families to relax and learn.

Wow. Just, wow. We are from the East coast and had no idea how nice a park could be, with comfy accomodations for adults too! IF I lived here, I'd be asking my kids to take "me" to the park instead of the other way around! They even had a sweet lady on staff that was able to graciously clean up an area that had an unfortunate issue. If anything, the park should consider having a concession stand in the area that looks like, a concession stand. It is outside the fence and has tables. That would be cute! But, oh my, this is one of the best parks we have been to in our entire life. Highly recommend! Thanks Lake Charles for showing us that all family matters too! Many states have a lot to learn from that, including my own.

One of the best parks I've visited! A definite must-see if you come to Lake Charles with your family. They have security cameras, people who walk around checking on the kids, and it's fenced in. They even have wifi. Will definitely visit again.

This park is unmatched as far as a beautiful, paved walking track goes. There is so much space to spread out, so many covered picnic areas, pretty views of the water, fishing spots, a boat launch, plenty of bathrooms, exercise equipment - it’s the whole package. There’s a small playground area that’s fully fenced and gated, which is a huge relief for parents of little/neurodiverse kids who are safer when contained. The splash pad has been out of commission since the hurricanes, so we haven’t gotten to see it in action. I see the maintenance crew out picking up rogue trash and the place is impeccably landscaped. Love it.
Awesome park. Clean and close to the lake. Had fun, it also has a small toddlers park. Close to I10 West. We were going back to Houston and thought of stopping by to rest and eat lunch. Had a good time.

Great place for a walk, to take your dogs, hang out with friends, or just sit and watch the sunset! INCREDIBLE sunsets over the water here.
Beautiful place to come with your family, kids, a date, or spend some time alone. It's always clean and they have a lot to do for someone that's wanting to stay motivated to work out or just bring the kids for a fun day out. My advice about coming here when it's hot is to ALWAYS bring LOTS of cold water and wear light clothing. It's so incredibly hot in the summer months and even though they DO have water fountains for humans and dogs the water doesn't always run at each fountain and the ones that do work aren't always cold. They have a water splash pad, great for the little ones and I feel safe when walking with friends or alone. Always keep your eyes and ears open anytime you are outside alone working out and have fun. I enjoy this location so much and I hope you do too. Love it or chuck it vote Prien Lake Park 80% and we love it. #3.9MillionViews
