Whenever my grandson visits, he always asks to go to City Park (Hagerstown). He loves the playgrounds, and we love to watch him enjoy himself.

On this most recent trip, we watched the ducks and geese in the pond area. They were diving to eat the algae off of the rocks. The ducks were quite entertaining. They kept nipping at the tails of the geese, making them flap their wings and squawk. There's a nice bench that overlooks the pond. It was a nice shaded place to relax and just watch the one playground and the antics going on in the pond. It was a very nice visit on a beautiful day.

Nice area but be careful, we saw 6 copper heads in the water.
Beautiful quiet walk and lovely view.
Very beautiful park with multiple playgrounds a walking path with some cross and a sitting area to pray or just let go for awhile
So happy to live near this area. The park is maintained well, quiet, and gorgeous.

Wonderful park. I love walking around the park. You can watch multiple baseball ⚾ games and soccer ⚽ games being played at the same time. There's a skateboard park, ice rink and playground for the little ones.

A cute little access point to the water. I didn't explore it much
Very nice park for a large family or group reunion/picnic in the pavilions. Nice playground, disk golf course and soccer fields.

NOT A SAFE PLACE!!! With in 10 seconds a gentleman allowed his dog to run up and bite my puppy. He made no effort to retrieve the dog and other guests said they had to keep their dogs on leash because he regularly allows his dog to attack other dogs. This is not a one time occurrence and apparently this aggressive dog is regularly there. Stay away!

It's a nice park. It's kept up well, has done playground areas for the kids and plenty of picnic areas.
Small area; but beautiful scenery. Great for a picnic on a summer day! The sound of the water is very relaxing.
Park is now open after being closed for the winter months.
This place has a disc golf course which is tops. There is a separate google listing for that so I left a review for that there. The park has a great restroom to use. Nice playgrounds. A great place to play soccer. Lots of room for family activities.

Nice park with multiple playgrounds, covered pavilions, grills, real bathrooms, volley courts, and more. The discovery station held a kids festival here today and it was a great location for it. Outside, lots of room in the grass, places to sit and eat, and shaded areas from the trees it has.

Love this park. There are so many old, tall trees here, making the whole park very shady. There's a brand new playground here, too, and it's perfect for these hot summer days.

We come every year for the fireworks and it's a wonderful display. It's a great park and has a very nice walking path that also connects to pangborn park! It has a great playground, numerous fields for soccer and baseball. In addition to all that it also has a dog park for your furry kids!!
I have been coming to this park for many years. Here is where we saw my kids grow up. Where we celebrated birthdays. Where we had lots of cookouts with friends. The cherries are ready to eat. There are some cherry trees in the park and the fruit is delicious. It is always nice to come over and do a workout, bike, or watch people play tennis or baseball. Overall not a bad place. The have upgraded some of the equipment in the last few years. The slides and play are is safer now than when my children were growing. Enjoy the park. It is always nice and clean.

Very small but quiet park with beautiful scenery and small water fall. There is also a small bridge with an area kids can swim. Super relaxing. Needs more trash cans and parking.
Cool, very short 5-10 minute walk in the the middle of town. Many different sculptures and art on display, you can walk the dog and go for a little colorful walk to get some peace. Honestly, it "looks" so good. This was a great idea to spruce up the town a little, but hagerstown could have used that money in better ways. Worried about attracting people instead of helping the ones here.
This is the best place to go if you love the outdoors and if you own dogs. There are two large dog parks. One for small dogs and one for large dogs. There's also an outdoor gym, and basketball court.

Every time I try to take my son to this park, it's closed. Even when it's during operating hours. What is the point of having a park if people can't enjoy it? Seems to open randomly during "off season" with no notices anywhere. It is incredibly aggravating.

Great place to take the family. There are multiple parks, walking paths, pavilions, and grills for cookouts. You can buy duck food and fish food to feelld the wildlife. They have a stage for live preformances, lots of parking, and 2 baseball fields behind the park.. only issue is the bathrooms seem to be always locked and only have a porta pottys. All around top park in town..

Lovely park well taken care of. There is a downside. In the woods, you can see piles of trash all back there from homeless trashing the place. Don't walk in the woods alone. Really sad of what they did

This is a very neat little Park there's not much to do there it's more of just a historical spot in Hagerstown it's a little rack of cannonballs is really neat and the intricacy and the craftsmanship of the Canon is very well done the story behind it in the history is worth maybe just taking a stop and reading but I do believe that it is a nice place that if you're into history it's worth just stopping and looking

Great little park! Right off of the road. Small area for parking with a single picnic table. Very scenic little area with a short path leading to the water to launch canoe or kayak. The bridge is well constructed. The water is very peaceful and very calming to sit and listen to on the bank. Bring a lunch and enjoy the area and feel your stress level decrease. No cost for entry. Free parking.
Pretty large park , love the structure and cleanest. Basketball court needs some serious help though , it's in terrible shape.
Memories!!!! Loved this place as a kid even though they took my favorite swing thing its still a really nice park with 2 play sets and the play sets are different and new so that is a plus. Bring your own snack tho the concession stand will rob you!

We lived down the street from Pangborn Park for 18 years. We left this area 13 years ago and were just visiting relatives in the area. Lots of great memories here at this small but beautiful Park. We had ou sons family and our grandchildren with us today for more memories. If we were still living in this area my son and I would come clean up the creek across the road where water dumps into the pond. Didn't bring water shoes and extra clothes. Hopefully some locals see this one picture and do some clean up work.

Extremely small, one picnic table, but what a beautiful location. There is a lot of history here. A great place to put a kayak in the water.

Beautiful park and art gallery. I love to just sit there and feed the ducks on pretty day. It's a very nice place to walk and get your exercise in. They also have the mansion house. Lots to see and do. There is also a snack bar and playground for the kids. Lots to see and do. A wonderful place to just sit back and relax, I love this place.

It's a nice park, I like that it has a river right beside, and it's connected to the fairgrounds, it has a lake with ducks🦆 and it's a nice place, it has areas to play, and it's free, I even took pictures in the winter and it's pretty nice 👍
Great for walks they even I have a dog park that is separated between little dogs and big dogs.
They have a track you can walk around in addition to a bicycle sidewalk. Very nice for stroller walks or to get some exercise.

It's a beautiful trail around Hagerstown, very colorful and beautiful park. I enjoyed walking in here the other day eventhough the weather is getting cooler.

Such a pretty community park. Has a nice playground, swings, a fishing pond (empty and doing some construction on it when I went), an actual bathroom, covered pavilions with grills, and some courts and fields. It connects to the bike trail for a paved walking area along the stream (lots of people getting their toes wet or dog splashing in it) and areas of the trail that break off for more pebbled terrain. One branch of the stream was dry so my sister and I had some fun walking down it. Lots of sucks as well. I hardly suggest bringing a blanket and picnic lunch (or grab a sub from the nearby sheets or some pastries/food from safron bakery just down the street). Just wish it had a water fountain I didn't notice one.

Nice little park. However, there are a lot of problems at this park from kids teens. I wouldn't go here alone. There have been people getting jumped by groups. Just be safe. To parents that let their little one go here with out a adult who is not smart at all, it is not a safe place. I get sick of stopping fights it your job to keep them safe, not mine or others be a parent and go with your child. Once again, a group of bully going after someone . Big safety concerns

My two girls and I had a great time at the park today. The playground toward the back was clean. The mulch wasn't that super clingy kind that you will never brush off. The equipment is in good shape and there wasn't any trash around. We also played in the soccer fields, which was active with a game. But there was plenty of space for everyone to enjoy themselves. We finished off with a snack at the pavilion. There was some trash on the tables, but it wasn't anything to cough at. Just some lazy visitors that couldn't walk to the trash can, which wasn't overflowing. Overall, we had a lot of fun!

Cute, small park. Nice pavillions.
A little unsafe for kids under a certain age but my son was always into something that he needed help with so I told him over and taught him the ropes

Unique little park converted from a vacant lot. Its like an obstacle course. There is a slide but nothing really for younger children who can't keep balance.
A beautiful park. So much space and very well kept. So many things for people to do. They even have a Frisbee golf course.
Park was clean and had one of the best disc golf course I've ever played.
Nice park. Fun for the kids. Great playground with lots of old school stuff. Fun feeding the geese, ducks, & bass.
Nice clean park. Fun disc golf course.
Great Park I actually just found. Fun for the kiddos and adults. I was there for a walk and sit in the grassy hills
I loved it because my girls loved it, and no matter what in Hagerstown you'll probably find some sort of plaque ,and the plaque that is there about the National Road Park will be in my photos... so like the post and pick and I'll make sure there's more for other places that I visit

Beautiful park, a few playgrounds and places for sports. Limited on pavilions and grills so check it out before planning a picnic. Hiking trail goes to fairgrounds park. Dredging of the pond will begin soon and improving some of the best up walk ways.

This place is a nightmare to live next to.. all they did was make a place for parents to leave thier kids who dont want to bother watching them...kids are at this park as late as 12am under age 12 with no supervision from parents or any other authorities...several times i have broken up fights some involving weapons..have yelled at kids for starting fires and vandalizing nearby homes this place sucks
It's very scenic with a mural on a building plus beautiful flowers etc. The city will be adding a water park for the kids. As you walk the trail further down you will see pictures of our citizens doing what they do best or what they did do before they retired, some are military veterans and our kids...tomorrow's future.
The trail was pretty cool. The mural lb of unusual size is a great place for pictures. There are some cool sculptures in the sculpture garden. I would have never known about this without Imagine Hagerstown

Very beautiful and and well kept. The duck pond they have is gorgeous. Its tucked away in a corner off the beaten path. It's not crowded at all because unless you know the area or are from Hagerstown, not many people know that it even exists. My family and I LOVE this park!!!

Short trail but great for the city of Hagerstown. The little info plaques along the way are fun to read & informative. The Faces of Hagerstown piece along the trail makes it unique & personal to the city. You can see the efforts to revamp downtown Hagerstown throughout this trail.

It's just small and quite
This area isn't the greatest area, this is not a place to send your kids outside by themselves if you live across the street. There was an older man creeping around that park with cookies, he was trying to get kids to take them from him. I don't know what this guy had in mind, But it wasn't to share some cookies with young boys. Beware of this area. It's a cute little place, but there's nothing thier but a giant junglegym, anyways if you want somewhere to just run around with you child for a few minutes, this is that kind of park. You can barley call it a park, but it's convenient for a quick recess I guess
