Such a versatile park. I enjoy running up and over it on Wednesday mornings with November Project.

This is one of the BEST parks in the Northeats Minneapolis area. There is a wonderful park and recreation board stationed there, a waterpark right next to the park, and a recreation center (the big black building next to the water park). There are also sports programs like soccer and basketball and much more. It also has sidewalks for your morning or evening runs or walks. Loved this park since I found out about it!

I stop here almost daily on a regular bike ride, just to take in the view and enjoy the quiet in the early morning hours. I also enjoy seeing this little bunny peering from behind a log, always lets me know the day will be ok.

The baseball diamonds are in great shape, the water park is outstanding (gated though, not free}, the new kids playground is small but well done, and the open fields leave a lot of room to roam and play soccer. The softball/kickball fields are minimalistic and I don't have any information on the restrooms, as I have never been in them. Parking is usually a breeze on either the south side or the north. Overall, we always feel safe there and the kids from the school dominate all but the baseball diamonds.

A little off the beaten trail with wonderful water views and skyline views.
Before white people settled here, Sioux women would come to this island to give birth, and it was a sacred island for vision quests and gatherings. Then white men showed up and built a tunnel to the falls which almost swallowed up the island. Today it is most recognized for having a Grain Belt beer billboard. If a person is willing to feel into the island, the sacred qualities are still there. For people interested in an energy vertex, there's one right in the middle of the island

Very Good & Clean Park. We can see stone arch bridge view from here . It's having nice chairs to sit . Dogs can enjoy this park very nicely. I have done swing and hammock. One day, I made a picnic for myself 🤪😜🤩. We can do a snow tube in winter if snow is more. It's very walkable to
Guthrie Theater, Rivergate, Churchill apartments, and downtown Minneapolis as well. There are no public restrooms in this area.

It's a fun place for the kids to get energy out
This park is really cool! It's weird that there's a school as well as houses on the island that bisect it a little, but i plan on exploring more of it soon!
This is our favorite park which is a block from our condo. It's so peaceful and always a vibrant amount of people jogging, walking their dogs or just hanging out in the park. It's nice too because they closed off one of the roads so less traffic runs through the neighborhood hood which gives you a sense of peace. It's a wonderful little nook in the city right next to Mills Creek Park and Stone Arch Bridge
This place is so awesome. I had no idea this area even existed until today. It's cool how you can walk all the way out, you're surrounded by the dams and its loud! It feels like you're in a different world out here. Plus there's tons of historic places nearby and the whole area is basically a photographer's dream.
One of the best views of downtown Minneapolis and the St Anthony Falls on the Mississippi. Sunset is the optimal time to visit, you will find seats and explanation of natural falls on the site.

One of my favorite sunset spots. Fun hill to walk up and a view of the Gold Medal Flour sign as well as the Stone Arch Bridge! Good hammock trees. Parking has never been a problem for me personally, but make sure you pay! I’ve gotten tickets here. 4 stars instead of 5 because like any park, sometimes people are weird.
This very interesting park, encompassing a little more than half of the island, has a lot of variety in its 26 acres. The north end includes a lovely walk along the back channel from the Boom Island bridge to the rail line, and the south end includes a pavilion and amphitheater. Between the two areas is De Lasalle High School. The north end contains a small neighborhood consisting of well maintained mid-19th century homes. The island has great views of the St Anthony Dam and downtown skyline.

I highly recommend reading the National Park Service’s web page and the Wikipedia page for details about the fascinating history of the island.

Good one just right in the center of the skyscrapers .. nicely located with some wonderful sculptures. We love the sign of the park. Easy go to the top and you can have some awesome view. The us bank stadium is easily address from here. It's just beside the stone arch bridge. You can start yours hiking or walking and cross the bridge. wonderful location of the park.

Great place to have a BBQ and get together clean has a port a potty and playground is close so keeping a eye on the kids is a snap recommend it
Gold Medal Park is so beautiful, especially in the summer months when it's warm & the grass is green! It’s a great place to bring your dog, lay in a hammock, read a book, or just enjoy the views of Minneapolis & the river!
Unique views of downtown Minneapolis and the falls on the Mississippi. The entrance is not consistently open, so it's hard to tell when you can visit the area. Enter near the power plant off of Main Street. The best views of the Minneapolis downtown skyline and St Anthony Falls.
Nicollet Island Park,
is the only park that has residential homes and a private High School in it, and it is an island.

The Minneapolis Parks Board owns the island and leases properties back until 2082. The south side has an event space and the Nicollet Island Inn. The north side has the island’s old residential homes, condos, Park space, trails and DeLaSalle High.

You can walk or ride your bike to the island from either side of the river. Also, there are trails connecting to Boom Island Park and historic Main Street and the Stone Arch Bridge. Views of St Anthony Falls.

This is a great place in downtown . We were able to walk the green and sit down in the middle of the park. They have nice places where you can take photos and even a selfie booth. They is a water-pad and a small lake where you can rent boats and do a little paddling.
This place was awesome it's a really beautiful place to just sit at and just be out on a beautiful Minnesota today

Aside for paying for street parking, it is entirely free and offers some great views of both downtown and NE MPLS!

Nice park that is off the beaten path but let's you get super close to the falls
Great place for walking, jogging, playing, anything outdoors. Grills available and picnic tables throughout the park. And playground. Lots of grass area to sit/play whatever..

Great park but all the grass is either dying or riddled with crab grass. The soccer field is a mud pit. Also really hard to access it with no clear parking lots except on the north side.
