Incredible view! Biked up to the tower and hung out on the benches.
Super cool. Definitely want to see it in the spring or summer time. Needs more art though. The Cherry spoon is definitely the highlight. Would love to see blocks on the trail way of different art to walk along to the next big sculpture. Beautiful place to take your Dog on a walk and the area is very well kept up. Got to see a rare Black squirrel too! There is also a cool bridge to cross over the highway and continues to yet another beautiful park.

Nice relaxing park to walk thru. The stream going through the park makes it a nice place to walk and/or sit and relax.
The garden was redesigned and refreshed in the mid 2010s. If you haven't visited since then, I recommend going. The new portion on the hill next to the Walker has a zigzagging path, a grove of chalk maples, and offers some nice views of the park and the Minneapolis skyline beyond. A day off school and beautiful fall weather made for a memorable outing for our family.

Very cool history abut the Witches Hat Water Tower. And amazing views of the sunset!
This was a delight! So glad we have this amazing free public art park in the Upper Midwest! Happy that we made this part of our trip to Minneapolis. I would highly recommend!!
Lovely place to go for a walk.

It was cool to see an old bridge renovated for pedestrian use. Also to see the old Mills, the spillway and buildings around the park!!
Worth a visit while in Minneapolis. I was surprised at how many sculptures were in the area and that it was completely free to visit. We paid for parking since we weren’t familiar with the area but it sounds like there is free street parking in the area as well. There is something for all ages. The iconic Spoonbridge and Cherry was our favorite! 🍒
Can’t even figure out how to put parking signs in the correct place at their parks.

We come here each and every time we visit Minneapolis. The views are great, the area is serene and the houses are exquisite. This is a great spot for photos of the city. We recently brought my father-in-law here and showed him the views. He's in his 80's and has lived here since a young boy and this was his first time here. He enjoyed every moment though the climb was a bit treacherous for him. We look forward to coming back again.
Beautiful garden, gentle walking paths, art pieces were spaced nicely to allow photos. Obviously a popular spot on a day with nice weather but not so crowded as to interrupt personal enjoyment of the space. Bathrooms and food trucks available. It was $6 to park in a parking garage. Take your time and enjoy the variety of art pieces.

Huge community area with playground and the best wading pool. It is fun for all ages.
I only wish there was a little more medium sized playground. The toddler one is tiny and the big one is huge.

This is a great pool for families with littles. It has a zero entry side and a 2ft side for the "bigger" kids. My 4 and 7 year old love it!
The Minneapolis Sculpture Garden is a beautiful outdoor area adjacent to the Walker Art Center. Lucky for us, we visited on a sunny day, perfect for enjoying the interactive art pieces throughout the beautiful gardens. It is a must-visit for art and nature enthusiasts.

Fun park to explore, love when cities repurpose old buildings/infrastructure into a park or something else. In this case it's a old industrial neighborhood of Minneapolis that was a bunch of Mills/Factories along the river.

Park has small splash pool , nice picnic and grill area under shade trees and a playground. As well as baseball/softball field tennis courts and bball court. Public restrooms too. It's adjacent to an elementary school and quite a large park area.

Very cute! Maybe not the easiest to navigate or learn because of graffiti covering some of the signs, but a pleasant place to exist and a good quick stop to explore!
Such a cool place! One of my favorite experiences that I had on my 4 day trip to Minneapolis. It had even more art than I had imagined, and was a great precursor to visiting the Minneapolis Institute of Art. One of the best all around, family friendly places I've been to in all of my travels. Would totally come back on another visit to Minneapolis!
Quiet and relaxing for a night walk enjoying city skyline.

Mills Ruins Park in Minnesota is a captivating blend of history and natural beauty. As you wander through the park, the remnants of the once-thriving milling industry stand as silent witnesses to the past, creating a unique and intriguing atmosphere. The juxtaposition of weathered ruins against the backdrop of lush greenery and the rushing waters of the Mississippi River is truly mesmerizing. It’s a serene escape within the heart of the city, inviting visitors to explore its paths, reflect on the passage of time, and marvel at the harmonious coexistence of urban and natural elements. A must-visit destination that encapsulates both the resilience of human endeavor and the soothing embrace of nature.

I noticed an ice cream truck, and the Park Ranger booth outside the walkway to the Lock. I'm sure there are rest rooms, just not obvious to me. Walkable path over the bridge; nice skyline to photograph.

To the kiddos early evening. First time at the park. Nice for younger children. Fun water activities/splash pad. Has plenty of benches, some in shaded areas. The pool area is fenced security, so little ones can not get out. The kids loved their experiences.
Beautiful sculpture garden with a path to follow and some sculptures are interactive and child friendly. There is pieces of art throughout the entire garden. Parking is not too bad as there is a convenient parking lot with pay booths within, but it does fill up fast! I recommend keeping a photo of your license plate on your phone as several people had to run back to their cars to retrieve that information for the marking meter. There are public restrooms near the start of the garden and near the parking lot which are clean and well maintained.
What a unique experience in the heart of the city. From abstract sculptures to poetry, the sculpture garden offers a beautiful walking tour through a quaint city park. Great stop for short visits!

It's a great place by the Mississippi river to walk and enjoy the view. During Aquatennial, it was the perfect place to watch the fireworks shooting from the Stone Arch Bridge. There were lots of folks there during that time but everyone was having a great time.
This sculpture garden is not only pretty but fun with some of the quirky art. There are level, paved walks that lead you around to each piece of art and its description. There is a paid car park conveniently next to it. If you find yourself in town, take an hour to check it out.

Nice place been coming here for 3 years straight. It's clean people are respectful towards one another, and there are tables and grills to have a picnic or BBQ with your families/friends. Has open public bathrooms that are flushable but kind of dirty. Bring your own sanitizers or wipes if you're a germophobe and extra toilet tissues. There is a playground next to the pool. I suggest you pack food or buy some food before coming here as you or any children will get hungry later.
Great place for kids to have some fun riding safe ramps

What a beautiful place!

This is a very popular spot to walk, bike, roller skate/blade, and more.

There is parking nearby for about two dollars an hour. The mill city ruins and museum are on the downtown side of the bridge. There is a lot of history here and it is so interesting to learn about.

Come here and look at the Mississippi river, Saint Anthony Falls, and more.

Sunsets are beautiful as well!

During the warmer months there is usually an ice cream truck nearby.

On the other side of the river are different shops and restaurants. I haven't been yet but have heard good things!
Great local sculptures

I love the Witches Tower! SE people call it that, it's otherwise known as Prospect Park Water Tower. One of the best views of Minneapolis. It's stunning.
ABSOLUTELY love bringing my littles here. So much positive energy is in this place. One of our top choices close to home, they choose it almost every time for our evening walk.

For all ages. Just brings such positive vibes to all. Lost to look at, & lots to read. Beautiful views. Friendly people. If you ever need a family photo done. Don’t be afraid to ask for assistance from others! They are so friendly, and willing to help you and yours.

Just a great neighbor, lots to do and lots to look at🙃

I hope you choose to go there and have a great experience like we do!

Currently just a grass field, but improvements are planned. Already much better than concrete.
It's a great place to go for a walk and admire the sculptures. I'm not that into art, but it was worth going here. Kids were making their own sculptures ⛄️ ☃️(snowmen), which is modern, compared to the sculptures made by artists in the last century. People were friendly in the park. It's better to go in summer.

Beautiful little park tucked away on one of the highest points in the city. Night time visits to the top of the hill make for a great view of the city lights.

September isn’t the right time to visit as the water has dried up. June and july would be appropriate months to enjoy the water falls

It had the best view of the city. It’s a shame that you can’t go up the watchtower. It has trails nearby. The people were nice in the neighborhood.

This park had a fun wade pool. Huge spider looking web for kids to crawl up and down. A smaller playground for small kids and a bigger playground for the bigger kids. The bathrooms were very dirty but on the plus side it's a actual bathroom not a outhouse. Plenty of off street parking. Overall I recommend bringing your kids they will find something fun to do
An excellent way to repurpose an old tennis court. My kids love riding the little ramps. I have to drag them away.

I take my grandkids there a lot. The pool is not too deep and it's about 15 minutes from the house. It is Street parking. Restrooms are clean.
Perfect for young kids!

My experience of this park is only from the parking lot where Godfrey Parkway becomes West River Road along the river, under the Ford Bridge, and on to Lock & Dam #1. The river views, and particularly the bridge, are imposing. Plenty of parks benches to relax and take in the views. Looking forward to the observation deck opening on the local & dam.

Hope you enjoy the pictures - if you do please give them a "like".
I had a terrible experience with the parks and rec office. I was given a sheet with prices to rent a park and was told by a women that worked there that the prices on there were correct. When I called to rent it I spoke with another person who told me that the prices were higher and that a manager would contact me. I CALMLY told the manager that I was given wrong prices for a week and his response was rude and demeaning telling me that prices stay the same, no apology that I was given wrong information or offer to honor the price. Terrible customer service and glad I can take my money elsewhere. Having a manger like that overseeing the department tells a lot about the community in general.
Wonderful area to take a walk, enjoy fresh air and a view of the city.

A scenic park to feel the oneness with nature in the city of Minneapolis. Perhaps one of the best park in the Twin Cities. The views of the water falls are wonderful. This park houses the Minnehaha falls and the creek, that flows into the Mississippi River. Located conveniently from the metros and downtown Minneapolis, one can feel the closeness with nature through fun activities like hiking, bike riding, fishing etc.
I like it when no one is here
Great start to a bike park. Hope more is added to it over time. Lower rating because there are only wooden bridges so far and it is small. The bridges are in great condition and fun to ride on. Wonderful space for beginners.
Beautiful area, must see destination if traveling here or a local. Lives up to its’ praise of being bike friendly and gorgeous to walk. Tons of places to rent a bike/scooter and just an icon in the history of the state. Don’t miss this area full of delicious restaurants and beautiful sights.
it's a good start. nothing technical. super small rollers and bridges for kids. Could be cool if they made a pump track or more technical features.
To call it a bike park is a gross oversell. There's half a dozen 6" high wood tracks on an old tennis court. Good fit for a toddler.
Great park next to Stone Arch Bridge
A very well maintained street. A nice trail to walk to the water and close to the stone arch bridge. The apartment complexes on this street are a solid structure and have good views and amenities. The Pillsbury Mill is on this street. There is good amount of street parking and With lot of restaurants and a old cinema theater on this street. The road is different and beautiful laid with briks/stones. You could rent bikes here .. there is also a store to take you on a tour for the stone arch and surroundings .. I heard the gelato ice cream at wild cafe is good , we were unfortunate that there was a private event there the day we went and didn't get to taste it.

Very good views. You can take good photography here. If you get down the stairs you could see a small water fall and can also go close to the water.

This was a fun little park and I was able to bring my kids up to the top of the Witches Tower! It wasnt stroller friendly but in most cases I dispise having to use it to. They have lost of benches and it sports some of the best scenery even on the group. Recommended for anyone.

Awesome view on the skyline! Go in the morning to have the sun behind you and shot some amazing pics! Highly recommended! But: You see the skyline and that's it, don't expect a great place. You take only the photos and rest 5 minutes. Not more. But the view is great.

When people visit during the winter, I like to bring them here to see the frozen waterfall. During the summer, I like to watch the children playing in the wading pool. The walk along the creek down to the river is beautiful and connecting with nature. I have spent many hours enjoying this park year round, and I look forward to many more

Beautiful park to visit from out of town in the fall with convenient walking and bike paths.
A scenic park to feel the oneness with nature!! This park houses the Minnehaha falls and the creek, that flows into the Mississippi River. Located conveniently from the metros and downtown Minneapolis, one can feel the closeness with nature through fun activities like hiking, bike riding, fishing etc. I loved hiking with the park and bike riding to Lake Nokomis and Haiwatha from here.
It is part of city hall and was in the building to pay water bill
A great little park that doesn't seem to be well known. The trails are very nice, and even right across from downtown you can sit in a calm area and observe nature (or nothing at all, if that is your thing). The Stone Arch Bridge is well known but this park doesn't get much attention, which is actually a real positive if you want to be a little more secluded.
In the midst of a thriving metropolis this riverside park is a lovely crossroads of its own. Historic St Anthony Main bordering one side, picturesque Stone Arch Bridge ejecting from another, tree shaded jogging path in between. Simply lovely.
