What a wonderful place to walk, ride or run! The greenway was clean and free of surface issues, very smooth. I enjoyed riding all the way to the Tennessee River and link up with the greenway there too. The round trip was 16 miles. The creek is very scenic with lots of wildlife to see. There is access to parks and neighborhoods.
This park has a little bit for everyone. Play ground, archery range, dog park, and it connects to Aldridge creek greenway.

Nice park with playground and archery range and walking path. Fenced area for dogs, watch where you step not every dog owner cleans up after their dogs. Beware the bathrooms were closed.
Great trail for biking, walking or running. Was hoping to Rollerblade, but it turns from concrete to asphalt not too far from the start of the trail, and it's little rough. Lots of trees in bloom today and fairly strong headwind coming back from Ditto Landing. Be prepared to really pedal if you find yourself up against this!

If you plan to go from the start of the trail off Bailey Cove to the river, there is a small business parking lot next to the trailhead. Not sure if any of it is designated for the trail. It would be nice to see more specific details about parking for trail use.
It's a beautiful place that crosses over the street and has a big, man made pond with hundreds of koi fish and ducks. They have the animals on both sides with little machines, that you put in .25 and can feed both fish and ducks. They often have lights and mini trails you can walk. Its beautiful anytime of the day or year. Theres no public restrooms but there's businesses around that you can use for bathrooms if need be.
Great decor for the holidays.
Busy! Fresh kettle corn.
Tinsel trail was beautiful. Well worth the night cold
The parade was awesome again this year infront of such a wonderful memorial. My children love the statues & love hearing about our family that served
It was during the veterans day and the parade was beautiful. Loved it. Grandkids git very restless but we enjoyed. We left early. I really want to thank all our veterans for all their services. God bless all of you and your family.

Great small park for sports events.
I come here every Sunday. Stroll around, people watch, maybe take a nap. It's a great place to just chill and hang out. It's close to everything, near the heart of downtown. And it has cool history.
Gold star mother's ride this park brought it home for me

Me and a small group of friends have decided to go every 2 weeks for the archery range. All but one of us are relatively new to the sport so it was nice to see the variety of distances available for shooting at. I was surprised that by the end of the first day, we were able to hit the farthest target. The grass was cut and the range was empty except for us. The only thing that I could ask for is for the targets to be in better shape. I'm to understand that the park is owned by the city of Huntsville. It shouldn't be far fetched to have the targets updated every so often. They've been shot up A LOT and could use some new wood.

We stopped by the splash pad on July 4th and half of the pads were working and the largest one was a foot tall. Honestly, seemed quite run down. The city should either fix it or shut it down.
This is a superior use of a former golf course. I wish my hometown had a place like this. Definitely worth the drive if you're staying somewhere without great access to running trails

Fun place to take kids and cool off at the splash pad area. It's not very big, but it's nice and in a great location with Earlyworks right around the corner. There's plenty of shade, too!
Special place. Thank you to all the veterans and their families.

Liked watching the adult baseball games. Liked the park too. Plenty of parking space. Not crazy about how fast people drive through the parking lot coming around the very end turning left to go around to the front row. Our 2 and 4 year old grandchildren were close to the back left of their mother's car when someone came whipping around.
Not only great food with an excellent dining experience but their patrons add to the whole experience. When Chef Andy comes out and makes his rounds visiting with his guest the energy level kicks up to another level.
An awesome place to ride or walk, spent part of a pretty Sunday here on this very scenic water lined trail! Just wish I lived closer.
This is my favorite place to show to people who visit my town from out of town or a different state. Everything in downtown Huntsville is accessible from this point forward. There's paid parking and paid parking decks. If you're lucky, you can find a place to parallel park for free 😂 I see photographers here all the time taking pictures for senior photographs, wedding pictures, etc. Beautiful setting and lots of friendly people everywhere! Events are hosted here quite often as well but I can't name them all by name. Definitely 10/10 and kid friendly. You should absolutely get some food for the fish and ducks as there are a lot of them! Your kids are guaranteed to enjoy it! Mine like the waterfall in particular and the tunnel. The tunnel is my least favorite part with kids because they all like to scream and make echoes 😂 but lots of good musicians will sit there and play guitar and it's nice to watch and listen to. Hotels are nearby as well if you're planning on staying for a while!
Tierliebhaber: Aufgepasst!
Took my dog for a walk along here. Plenty of room along the pathway for runners and bikers as well. Looking forward to seeing it in the spring and summer when the grass and trees look more lively.

This is NOT a dog park. Nowhere for dogs to play or do anything.
We go play tennis here and its huge. They have good clean courts and plenty of room along with trails and other things you can do. Great place to go stretch out and get exercise and have fun at same time.
Great place to jog or bike with both astroturf(?) and grass track. The 'paved' paths are very low-impact and nice to run on. Note that no pets are allowed though!
An amazing memorial to the men and women that have served, fought and died for our country
Pets are not allowed, so keep that in mind and leave the dogs at home. This is a beautifully maintained park with a rubberized path that is excellent for walking and running. Smooth ride for my baby stroller. Bathrooms available and plenty of parking. There are many events held here, so it’s best to check in advance if you want to avoid crowds.

Beautiful and very serene. Archery range for everyone. I enjoyed access to the Aldridge Creek Green space walkway. You can reach Ditto Landing from here at 3 miles down, 3 miles back.
Beautiful park! Good paved sidewalks, nice fountains, fish and ducks you can feed for a quarter, lots of benches in the sun or the shade. You do have to pay to park except on weekends.

Located downtown amidst the alley ways you will find pockets of live music, places to sit and play, a Community Kindness Rock garden to leave a rock or take a rock, and you will find murals and artwork. Take a stroll through and see for yourself. 🥳

So thankful to have this available downtown! My only complaint is that there should be a gate by the stairs, since they empty out near the road.

This trail is about five miles long, add another couple of miles for those who get to the end and take the Tennessee River trail as well that goes along the Tennessee river.

The scenery is enjoyable. The Aldridge Creek is close by (from both sides of the creek) along the trail. The is well maintained and feels very safe.

I rode along it on a Sunday morning and saw perhaps 15 people going each way—a combination of people on bikes, baby strollers, and walkers. The is considerable shade along the trail as well.

With fields and the creek along the way, it is not unusual to see wildlife as well. On a recent ride, there were several herons and numerous turtles sunning themselves on the rocks.

There has been a great deal of rain and some of the water had come over low parts of the trail but it had receded although still muddy in places.

The trail goes through fields, in close view of housing developments and even under a railroad trestle near the end of the trail. At one point there is a dog park and a gathering place with concrete benches. On one Sunday morning, there were a group of people with a leader in what appeared to be a Sunday school gathering in the shade of the surrounding trees.

It is a great experience. I saw a number of families with young children having a good time and getting exercise on a sunny day.

Splash Pad Madness. So refreshing you'll want to take your own shirt off and frolic in the fountain. Sweet nectar on a hot day.

A very nice area for families with young children. In summer, bring a towel so that the kids can dry off after playing in the splash fountain. Adults have a fully shaded area to watch the kids play.
Great Greenway! I was surprised to see so many animals. Bunny, herring, birds, fish, turtles. Definitely recommended!

I know nothing of this place. I'm sure it's great. But stop posting selfies you self serving egotistical dummies. People want info and opinions not your ugly mug. You and your family, friends having fun. Great post the pics. Not selfishies. People are so full of themselves anymore. Learn some humility. Trust me you will sooner or later. Willingly or otherwise.

Very nice place friendly folks and everything
Beautiful place for a run. 1.5 mile rubberized paved path running through hills and lakes but the path is pretty flat. There is a start and stop for a 5k which is just over 2 laps. It rained so I couldn't run the x-country track which is basically a wide grass path. A parks dept employee told you just run on the x-country path and when tired just cross through the middle.

Beautiful relaxing place to go after work. This park offers quite a lot of commodities as opposed to any other park in the area. It is connected to the walkway as well. Even an archery range and a frisbee golf course. Overall love coming here whether it's to watch the deer that will occasionally pass by at sunset or if its to go take a relaxing walk by the creek.
Definitely worth a visit; a beautiful array of statues and memorials that is unexpected in an area like this... This memorial reminds me of the ones in DC. Incredible. Not a lot of parking, but it wasn’t busy when I went thankfully. I’d suggest parking down the road if it is.
I am obviously not a runner.
However my son enjoys running and does cross country.
His school competed in The Southern Showcase at this location. He really enjoyed the course.
I really enjoyed how nicely laid out the course is. As a parent you can easily move from section to section to cheer on the runners.

I think this was an old golf course. So you can envision the terrain and elevation changes. The grounds are extremely well kept and maintained.

If you just want to have a peaceful run or just walk through the grass to clear your mind this is an excellent location for both.

Great place to see ducks and fish. Very relaxing to walk along. Several squirrels in the area too. A great combination of city and nature. Absolutely beautiful area.
There was a lot of cool wildlife to look at, including all types of fish, deer, beavers, muscrats, giant turtles , and small birds. The trail is very long and smooth for biking. Although the trail itself is very thin

Very pretty and most children enjoy it during the warmer weather. My only reason for not giving 5 stars is the extraordinary amount of mosquitoes there. I've never been in proximity to the fountain and avoided getting bitten.
This is a gorgeous dedication to our country's defenders, and great for a quiet stroll to stretch your legs a minute or two.

A real shame. Run down facilities. Area around T-ball field is deplorable and a real danger to kids - fix the pot holes, broken pavement , terrible toilets. Has not been maintained or upgraded in years. Concession stand prices way higher than other parks. Great kids and they deserve much more - come on city council fix our park!

Curbside parking so I could see it being difficult to park if it's busy. Not very big but the kids who were there had fun. Bring some type of container like a cup or bucket. The kids were using old plastic bottles and filling them up and having a great time doing it. There's also a time capsule in the park.

Gotta love this park. Very clean. One of my favorite places to watch family and friends play a good game. The playground is fun as well. I sometimes find myself on a swing watching the games. The only downfall for me would be parking spaces... Especially on a big game day. 😬

I took my 3-yr-old grandson to the Children's Fountain (which is a bit like a splash pad). He loved it. There is a beautiful wisteria-covered pergola coming off the Children's Fountain with park benches underneath offering complete shade.
This is basically a little greenway walk between two neighborhoods across from Jones Farm Park. It runs creekside, and you’ll see a lot of bunnies and squirrels along the nicely paved path. There is a (fairly large and deep) creek that runs along one side of the path and is overgrown with wildflowers and grasses - very pretty. Many different types of trees grow along the walkway making for convenient shade and interesting viewing. There are benches and bag stations (I assume for pet waste) along the trail. It is an easy walk for all levels of ability and isn’t terribly long if you just want a quick walk. There is parking across the street at the Jones Farm Park lot.

We have lived with just a chainlinked fence separating us from the park for 37 years. We have enjoyed the occasions of having its facility easily available to us. At times we had some youngsters cross our fenceline but that has been reduced by the growth of some bushes in the point left compromised by a fence relocation. Our enjoyment personally has deminished as our bones and muscles have declined. Still, it is generally appreciated to hear the younger and active users delighting in their revelry during hours of their visit from around the city.
We know that from time to time there are transactions and trangressions that are occurring in the space. We can hope for effective law enforcement to minimize these adversities.
Spectacular trail for walking, running or biking! This is a gem, and getting more and more rare around the US.

Wide asphalt trail, marked well most of the time. Very polite users!

The is no parking at the start point of this trail off Bailey Cove Rd. But if you continue to drive south, make a right in Mountain Gap Rd and you will find a parking area past Publix.

The Train crossing is at the Google maps place # 866MHCPW+7P

Great place to go with family, couple or alone. You will find plenty of good areas for meditation.

Enjoy!
