Wonderful trail and views along the river !!
Great trail for taking a stroll, bike ride, or getting your daily run/jogging in!!
Took my friends here on their last vacation day before heading back to Germany.
I've been living here for 14 years and still need to explore more of our local trails, this was one of them to mark off my list!

This trail would get 5/5 stars if there was any wildlife. But most of the Greenway takes you away from the river, and there are hardly any good views of it. The path is well-kept and paved, and the parking lot is accessible and shady.

At first the park looks very nice but that's quickly brushed aside when you see the amount of homeless people who are mentally ill wandering around it smoking drinking and doing drugs. The mayor of the city really needs to get these people off the street. The atmosphere is very dangerous for children. I will however state that the people who work for the park do a very good job of keeping it clean regardless. They are very accommodating despite the challenging conditions.

We rode bicycles for miles and miles. All types of wildlife. Saw A fox, a copperhead, crows, an owl and some squirrels. It’s a wonderful place. Highly recommended.

There are total 8 tennis courts at this location. I played USTA tournament here, the courts are good.

Needs a lil more attractiveness but other than it's nice.
Gorgeous place for a sunset on the river. Poole Road entrance, Go to the left from the lot, cross the bridge and look for the opening in the woods on the right. It is a little ways down but so worth the walk.
There have been neighborhood kids playing in this park past 8pm. We need to have capital police security company patrol more!
Great tennis courts! Nice pool and they have Zumba! Well kept grounds!

Great for road biking! Biked from Falls Lake Dam to Horseshoe Farm. It was about 8 miles and extremely pleasant, mostly flat. The scenery is really lovely and we saw so much wildlife! We saw turtles, lizards, bunnies, deer, cardinals, herons, doves, and robins, and even a few snakes! And this was midday. Plus all the trees make this squirrel paradise. It wasn’t crowded at all, though we went on a Friday, and parking is plentiful. I expect it would be packed on the weekend. Bottom line: Highly recommend for road biking. Friendly to all levels/desired distances (you can bike much further than we did). Lots of nice stopping points and benches. Bathrooms and water fountains at several points. There is even a bike rental place by the dam.

With all the beautiful new greenery now (April) this place provides a very zen walk through nature. There are trails all over so you can do short or long walks. I always take my dog who also enjoys these walks. There’s a playground area, picnic tables along the lake and benches.
Lots of nice trails that wind through the trees and next to a creek. There are also two small lakes, and it hasn't been too crowded on any of my visits. It's a great place for birdwatching, or sitting next to the creek and watching the little fish swim around. The signage (making sure signs about what trails go which way are visible from all directions) could use a little work, and more frequent "you are here" maps would be nice, but it's a lovely park.

This park is interesting. It could be good, but a lot of adults and teens hang here. Do usually not the best activities going on.

We really enjoyed this part of the neuse river trail (Riverview entrance). Beautiful scenery, dog and bike friendly, and, best of all, a clean rest area for a bathroom break.
Nice hiking trails in north Raleigh. Not a huge park but it has a lake with a finishing pier and well marked trails. The border loop trail is about one hour, pretty easy hike. There is housing along the outside of the trail but we still enjoyed it.

Love this park. Fully concrete and smooth. Some stuff is on the bigger side but there is some intermediate stuff too. There are usually some cool ppl out there to hang with and people keep it clean. The bowl is pretty big. Once in a while you will see a pro rider out there practicing. Very cool place to be.

We love this park.. they have a few different playgrounds numerous basketball goals indoor and outdoor and space to play soccer.. I have kids in age range of 6 to 18 so everyone has a goodtime here
We’ve been there many times for a walk. It has nice trails, is quiet, and surrounded by beautiful nature. If you want to see the colors of fall leaves changing, I recommend going around early November.

This place has really nice trails if you like walking through thick trees and unpaved trails! There are two trails. One is like 1.2 miles and the other is 2.8 so its possible to get a good workout
You can’t go wrong taking any of the trails that Durant Nature Preserve has to offer. They are all beautiful and peaceful. My personal favorite has always been the Secret Creek Trail. It’s not long, just over half a mile, but the sounds of the creek trickling along makes it relaxing and restorative. It’s so beautiful! Especially on a gorgeous fall day as the leaves are falling all around. 🍁😊
Durant Nature Preserve is a very nice place to walk. The trails are easy to walk and each one is a little different. There are two ponds to visit. The smaller pond with the wetland area is my favorite place to observe birds. It is very peaceful.
The trails have some picnic tables and benches. You can walk a mile or 4 miles or more. I see alot of people with their dogs.

Great hidden spot. I like to chill here before ending my day. When downtown parking is a money trap. Instead I'll sit and chill here return for business downtown.

Love that there is no sand and that has a pretty good variety of toys
It's an "ok" park. If they had a way for the residents to chip in, I would donate money to help add more. Most of the equipment is outdated. But the park is clean.
I've always loved this park. There is a playground, restrooms, Lake with fishing spots, a dock, and multiple trails to walk through. There's an exploring Garden and a butterfly garden. The Lakeside Trail has benches dotted around to sit and enjoy the views. There are frequently classes and events as well.
Moore Square in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina, it’s a place of the historic history dating back to 1792, it was a public gathering so it’s an iconic place.
The significant place has and now been refurbished to what it is now, a pleasant square open SQUARE space, it encompasses lots of green space, lots of well maintained shrubbery, it has lots of interesting touches like the hopscotch mat , a ping pong table a little seating auditorium, it also encompasses a eatery called Square Burger which I didn’t sample however it comes highly recommended, not forgetting the enclosed dog park for the four feet little doggies to do their exercise.
So Moore Square is a place to relax and watch the world go by in the comfort of lovely green iconic place.

Rode from the trail parking lot (approx mile marker 17+) just north of Anderson Point Park southbound to the county line, and then just a bit further to mile marker 30.0. The NRT surface is very well maintained and the signage is clear and plentiful. On this hot day, I was thankful for the tree cover most of the way. I really enjoyed seeing our progress every quarter mile.

34 miles of paved, well kept biking and hiking trail. It doesn't matter if you're riding or walking. Either way you're going to have a good time with some great views. Benches every so often to rest and river access as well.

I just go for the skatepark, which is mediocre. DIY up in the hockey rink is better than the concrete park for most people I'd imagine.
Excellent community park. Friendly staff. BMX park with immaculate jumps and track (by appt and fee) Fields for sports of all kinds and several tennis courts and basketball courts. Center has full service bathrooms with showers for men women and families. Fill up your water bottles and join the small exercise gym for a small fee. Great park geared towards all ages with larger picnic shelter for celebrations or family reunions. There is more than enough parking for guests.

Nice place for tennis. Lots of space to park to watch tournaments. Bring camping chairs to comfortably sit if you don't want to sit on the bleachers/metal benches. Lot of space on the grass in the shade to relax between matches.

Wow! Another gem. Literally nobody there in the middle of the day. No bathroom close but a PP at the bottom of the parking lot. The superbowl was sick! Nice concrete park with plenty of roll-in's. I was on my DJ and had a blast! TONY HAWK WAS THERE!

This is a large open square with a large grass field in the middle. On the Saturday we were there there was a vintage market going on with vendor tents along the entirety of the sidewalks. It’s right next to the bus station.

Great Bmx track in a beautiful park. Lots of thing for the family to do. Check out USA Bmx and learn how you can ride this great track
Nice place, a bit crowded houses, no place for packing.

Nice little festival in the park called "Spellbound", was able to enjoy sometime with my daughter. I like these events being able to see my kid smile was worth the small chill that fall has brought along with it.

Great opportunity to enjoy some outdoor time without breaking the bank! The skate park is awesome, lots of talented artists brightening it up, the community was clean and tidy, not too busy 😀
Small little community playground that has just enough to keep the kids busy. Never a lot of kids here. Street parking
Nice little park. Looks like some of the equipment is in need of repair. They do have swings, which is nice. There wasn’t a soul here on a Sunday afternoon. There is not a lot of park and no bathrooms. Appears to be community park. Not really for just visiting people.

A great park for the kids. One of the cleanest playgrounds I've seen. Perfect for picnics while the kids run around having fun!
Basic playground, but spaced out, plenty of space for running around and playing. Older traditional playground stuff mainly. Brand new wood chip mulch recently layed down. Has a smaller playground structure, a great merry-go-round, and plenty of climbing monkey bar type things. The playground is completely covered which is nice for rain and hot sun.

Staff was very friendly and the location was well maintained and beautiful. The playground was fenced and landscaped with flowers.
Safety might be an issue. Whoever visits here trashes it daily and the bathrooms on the skatepark side were sprayed with graffiti. Some of the skate park graffiti was offensive. Seems like it might be a drug/party place in the evenings.

Nice public square..especially after the remodel. Lots of grass, a water feature and close to downtown, Marbles and restaurants. Lots of homeless people so I can’t really give it 5 stars. Always see a lot of people doing yoga on the weekends and it seems like they events out there too.

Decent park. Had problems with restrooms -- closed. Lighted Tennis courts. 8 of them, well maintained . Four half basketball courts. Baseball field. Playground. Interestingly, there is BMX bicycle obstacle course. Picnic area, shelter area, no grills.
Not ideal for toddlers. Only one slide and sand. Also adults there were sitting and smoking pot in the park...not very kid friendly. Seems more of a hangout for basketball. If you are looking for kid entertainment I would suggest anywhere else.

Came here for Capital City BMX. HIGHLY RECOMMEND coming here and watching the kids of all ages, amd maybe, just maybe, you'll want to participate like our daughter decided to!
We came and brought our daughter of 9 for the first Ladies Only day, and she liked it SO much, she was racing that afternoon. They have rental helmets and bikes, and USA BMX has a 1 day membership FREE, if you want to give it a try.
Now, we volunteer when we can, practice when we can, and race as often as we choose.

I can only speak to the tennis courts, but they're pretty nice! Lights are pretty good, too. 8 courts that are all lit. They do have some dips in the courts for puddles when it rains.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the hidden mountain biking trails here! I don't know who maintains these, but there are a good few miles of meandering singletrack that are pretty well-worn. Some varied terrain here, including a granny-gear climb under the power lines, plank bridges, one or two water crossings, downhill mini-berms, even a few jumps! I recommend beginning at the entrance behind the playground (not well-marked). Start here at higher elevation and run the trail clockwise to minimize the amount of climbing. Eventually you'll come out near the boulders at the bottom of the parking lot by the community center. Check out the AllTrails app to see the riding routes.

They really cleaned this area out nicely. The bus station is clean & a bit safer, the park is huge & beautiful, & they built a nice little burger joint convenient to anyone in that area. I had a great time there with my family & we for sure will return.

Decent park for little ones, except toddlers. It would be nice to have swings incorporated for the younger kids. It has a basketball court which is good and in good shape! Overall it's a good place for the kids to play.

Well maintained park. With playground and basketball courts.
This is the 4th time I have played this course. It's a wonderful layout. Some fairways and bunkers need some work. But otherwise it's still a good course. The problem is entirely too much DOG POOP left on the course. A couple of dogs were LOOSE and the owners were outside. The owners responded their dogs are friendly. I have been a dog owner since the age of 10 and am now 65, not everyone enjoys having a dog around when participating in some recreational activity. My GUEST respond they do not want to play here again!!
Greens are fast and roll nice. Some tee boxes need TLC. Would like to see bells installed on blind holes so I don't have to drive half way to see if someone is still on the green.

The basketball courts are nice, but the playground is a little dated. Everything is made of metal and reinforced steel. Easy place to find a concussion.
