It's a fantastic place to have a picnic any day. The park has a rental office for kayaks for those interested in relaxing scenic views.

During the busy times here, getting in and out can be quite difficult but just take your time And enjoy the facilities! Plenty of great soccer fields, even the bike park is amazing. Go when it's not busy for the best experience.
There is plenty of room for kids to play. There are walking or biking trails, too. Plenty of parking.
Huge park. Lots of ball fields, indoor pool, outside splash pad, archery range and much more to do and explore.
Decent facility. Parking ok but not enough for large tournaments. Not easy getting in and out but fields were ok

The picnic areas can get a bit overwhelmed, but the trails are never busy.
Highli recommends going early to see the lake nice and calm! It is so relaxing! Even if it is raining a bit, the trails are heavily covered by the canopy!

Love this splash park!! Mine are 4 and 6, and I think I had as much fun as them! Affordable (6.5 for admission) and there is a mini golf course right next to it. Great family or group tlrates too. Will be spending much of our summer here.
Very large recreation area with many fields for sports including cricket...clean restrooms and lots of trees for shade...plenty of playgrounds for kids not playing in competitive sports...lots of parking...and the fields are very well maintained...

Boat rentals, picnic tables, trails. Busy during the hot weekends but that's what gives it life. Lovely place to set up a party during a sunny day or just to chill with your friends.
My family and I are fortunate enough to live 5 minutes away and visit frequently. Whether alone, with family or friends it really has something for everyone. We've been to birthday parties, baby showers, nature events, picnics and most recently watched the 2024 solar eclipse at Black Hills. I recommend checking out their website for events taking place. One of our favorites was a "Raptor Festival" where birds of prey were on display alongside educational activities. The kids seemed to be a bit more interested in rolling in the autumn leaves... something for everyone I guess!
Plenty to see and do here and the trails are abundant. Definitely more enjoyable during the off season when there are no crowds.
What’s not to like? Fall foliages this year at Black Hill Regional Park is just wonderful. The park itself is free, with paved trails for hiking and biking. For nature lovers, unpaved trail around the lake is also beautiful. The trail and the lake itself connects Germantown neighborhood. Fishing and boating is a must. The picnic shelters host many community events. The large space and playground one the center of the shelters allows fun activities. The nature center is one of the best in the region. Restrooms are well maintained.
We love this park. Lots to do. If you have little ones, check out the area around the visitor center. They have a giant sand box, fairy garden, mud kitchen, and large wooden “furniture” for kids to play on. Lots of paved paths for stroller walks, smaller paths by the waters edge, and beautiful views.
Beautiful park with stunning fall colors. Great place for birding. It was also very accessible for people with canes and walkers. It was very pleasant just to drive through with my Grandmother, who can't do a lot of walking. I went back and used some of the trails to bird.
Paved bike paths throughout. At least 1 fenced in dog park. Dogs are welcome throughout as long as they are leashed. There was one huge playground and 2 boat launches. There is also a community garden.

We love going to black hills. Its such a beautiful place with so much open space. We’ve seen lots of different animals hanging around this beautiful park. My dog likes jumping into the lake when it’s hot out. Highly recommend. I do wish there were more amenities for dogs but if you bring your own stuff it’s really a good time.

It is always a nice place to run the trails! People are out walking, biking and doing so many activities…
Great place for a morning walk.
Dog Exercise Area was a large fenced in area with benches, but we were the only dog there. We hike the dirt path of Hamilton Trail. This trail has bridges, river, and trees everywhere for a shaded path. It was great to take a break from work and enjoy a hike day. We brought a picnic and our dogs. We also saw many animals at the lake.
Great trails through the forest and around the lake. Plenty of parking at main area or at various trail starting points. Multiple picnic areas, biking friendly, and boats and paddle boats for rent during the summer.
Very fun playground for littles with restroom and great parking lot right next to it. My kids have also come here for soccer tournament and swim meets.
This is a great park! It's huge! It's got a ton of things to climb on, jump on, run on etc. It has a rock climbing wall and these super cool saucer swings. It's got like 3 different play areas surrounding the largest play structures! One of them is a huge ship. There is even an area to make music. It's a ton of fun for the kids and adults as well. There is also a not al swing set with infant, toddler and regular size swings as well as an area with little cars and houses built out of wood. The houses have a table and chaira in them and the kids can sit in the cars and turn the steering wheel. It's super cute. I love that there is also a whole entire surprisingly CLEAN bathroom house right in the corner of the parking lot. I highly recommend this park to everyone!
Another bonus if your visiting this park on a hot summer day...the 🍦 ice-cream man 🍨 always stops in for a visit and to supply the Rugrats with a sugar rush. At least they can burn it right back off playing at the park 😂

One of my family's favorite parks. It's everything you want in an outdoor outing and more.
What a wonderful park! Playground is great for all ages. Loved the infant swings & so did my little one. Restrooms are clean. Wish we would have discovered the park sooner. Would have spent a ton of time here over the summer. There's parks,trials, boat rentals, dog park.. you name it! And you can't beat the beautiful views. Such a stunning place
It's a great place and the park is nice too. Me and my family friends and all come here every Eid for like a little picnic and for the kids to be able to have fun in the park. The sunset is absolutely stunning too, too some pretty artsy pictures.. and by some.. i mean A LOT.

Came here for the archery range. They totally renovated the range so there are sidewalks, graveled walks from the sidewalk out to the target, 10 targets of varying distance (marked) with their own quivers and bow rests, and picnic tables. The targets are mounted on metal rails and its much easier to get the arrows out. Its very open, so I would suggest sunscreen. There are also a lot of bees and other insects; not biting insects but you may want insect repellent.
Went for a wonderful and easy hike around the lake at Black Hill. It wasn’t too busy so parking was easy. There were lots of people using the lake facilities which looked wonderful and we hope to use them on our next visit.

Great place to bird watch. There is a telescope to look across the lake. Several small gardens, seating, and a balcony that wraps around the building, allowing you to take in different views. Kid friendly, and several things geared just towards children. Lots of paved and smooth unpaved trails near the water, perfect for walking a calm dog.

If you looking to have an amazing experience walking in a very open natural environment this is the right spot, good for picnic, biking there is also a mini museum.
Awesome park! It has a lake with boat rentals, pagodas you can rent, small park for kids, and all the green area you can want! Very clean and with even an animal “museum.”
Love this place. Not too crowded but even when there are a good number of people around there is plenty of parking. They have kayaks and paddle boards and more to take out on the lake. The lake is enormous and you have pretty decent visibility into the water too so you can see some fish and turtles in the water. They have both paved and dirt trails that ramble through the park. There is a good amount of wildlife around too--just on a short walk today I saw a ground hog, fox, several Chipmunks, rabbit and deer. I don't believe there is a fee to enter either.
The Black Hill Regional Park is a beautiful public park filled with woodlands, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and a lake. There are boats available and plenty of space for any activity. There is an educational garden shed complete with green roof, rain barrels, and tools for everyone to try gardening. There are flower beds to water with little watering cans, and a digging space for girls and boys to get into earth. Benches are scattered throughout the space do one can have a restful sit watching butterflies or the birds over the water. Dogs are welcome and a dog park is available to play off leash. Get outside and find your space!
