My kiddo is still only 20 months and while lots of this playground is a little big, she will grow into the many different things it have to offer. She LOVES the cruiser (swaying boat). Great park!

I Did. I Liked It. Great Workout!
The Escape Path Could Have Been Cleaner & More Defined, Couple Trees Down However Take Nothing Away From This Park.

Easy hike in and nice clear water at the beach. Very peaceful on a Wednesday afternoon. We haven't done the trails yet.

This park is isolated and actually pretty nice. I strongly believe in the importance of nature play and I really like the little bridge over a tiny river the kids could explore by the edge of the woods. I actually enjoy it more than the Gilford park. No bathrooms (park building is locked) but lots of woods ;)

I regularly use the park to walk/run in. Go here to use the playground, I have used the trails, they are nice but are prone to being wet. The city does a very nice job of keeping the bathrooms. Nice pavilion for eating, and very under used stage area off the rest rooms for entertainment with lots of parking.

I came across this park 🏞️ while visiting the Laconia Pumpkin Festival. The park was decorated with lights and flowers. It sits next to the Winnipesaukee River. It has a loop ➰ trail that connects to a riverfront trail.
The park is named after Paul Steward. He was a founding member and chairman of the Laconia Housing and Development Authority. He died at age 50 in 1973. A few months later, this park was named in his honor. The park was rededicated in June 2011.
It is a cute little park which I hope to explore more of when I walk the riverfront Trail, hopefully with my kids! There is a parking garage nearby and it is part of downtown Laconia.

The park is a calm place, with a field, playground, and basketball court.

One of our favorite beaches! It's a small beach so not good for crowds. There are walking trails too. Lovely view and fairly clean water.

Son has sensory issues and I've brought him to a lot of parks hoping to find one he'd actually be willing to play at. Tardif is the first one he finally played. Next time I'm hoping to be able to show him the water.
Loved the park being at a safer location than some of the others around

Loved that it had a play structure for smaller kids, and that it's fenced in. Did not enjoy the four drug deals we watched take place

Nice, quiet, neighborhood park with play structures for toddlers and kids up to 9/10 years. Close to downtown Laconia for families with kids who need to get some energy out. No bathrooms but we travel with a mini potty for our toddler.

A very nice place to gaze into/onto the fast moving river.. nice and clean area for you and your family to relax.
Very nice little park to bring your children, very clean. Great place to bring a picnic too! They also have walking trails and a dog trail as well.

Lots of room to play and have tons of fun! The bigger kids that go to this park are not obnoxious and rude like at other parks.

Bought a younger kid with me for a while here. They have a small stream and a path way to the woods in the backs. They have standard playground equipment. Safe area. There may be some weird older kids around now and then but not often.

Very nice park. Only compliant is 2 of the slides are cracked & I'm afraid some kid is going to get cut with the plastic.

Very nice place to walk, swim or just relax close to the water. Kids enjoyed so much! I saw a lot people with their popies enjoying as well.

This last weekend was disgusting, with lots of "out of staters" ruining this normally peacefull place by leaving all that garbage behind and who knows what. Nobody had a mask and they did not behave like they should have

Great new playground for the kiddos, and wonderful covered pavilion perfect for picnics and outdoor lunches in warm weather. The landscaping is well done and very pretty in warmer months, attracting lots of butterflies and little birds. 10/10 for parks in the area- impressively clean and far less sketchy than other local, public parks.

We absolutely were delighted by the beautiful flowers all throughout the park! All the right flowers and plants in all the right areas and they were all thriving! I can definitely appreciate a park with the right garden atmosphere. The park is very well maintained and the paths are clear. The only issue we had was the amount of people hanging out under the gazebo during the rain, and they were not friendly and they were unwelcoming. I'm not sure if this is normal that people just huddle here? But the park itself was beautiful. We did end up departing when the crowd under the gazebo began yelling and swearing because we just were not sure what was happening.

Ok, every year they hold the Laconia Multicultural festival here, and almost every year for 8 years ive been going. Somehow, i juet realized, this is a park. For some reason, i kind of always just assumed the park showed up whenever the festival happened, but i guess not. I was so super thrilled to find out there was actually a park here, because ive been on the hunt for a park. This is a good place to walk with friends, or sit and drink coffee.
Great playground— perhaps the best within 20 miles. But in the shade. Bring your bug spray just in case.

Had our son's first birthday here, awesome place. Has covered seating. Bathroom that is really clean and nice a little ways down. Playground is small but sufficient. Little trails off the side. Be careful in July taking trails. There are many ticks on the trails. It was quiet and we had a great time

Great, beautiful, & scenic area for walking, hiking, biking and swimming. The Main beach area was nice, a little bit small. But, you can go nearby to the first trail head on the right and there are many areas that branch off that have small sandy and fantastic swimming areas. I took my 2 daughters (10 & 13) and dog and we ventured a short way off the path and had our very own swimming area. The water was clean and not weedy.
Note: Dogs are not allowed in the main beach swimming area. We had excellent time and picked up after ourselves and our pet. We had people to the right of us who did the same.
**I hope people continue to be responsible and pick up after themselves and their pets as this was a great find to be able to have the whole family (dog included) enjoy the water on a hot day.

Gorgeous little park that also leads into an absolutely beautiful lake that you can swim into. We didn't swim this time, only walked but I'll definitely want to return here sometime to do so. Breathtaking views

Typical in town Laconia park. Be mindful of sand and mulch areas that needles could be hidden in. Unfortunately it's been very common for people to find needles and/or paraphanelia in most public parks and beaches around town. Otherwise, the park is located in a family friendly neighborhood and does entertain the kids! It's just a shame that most parents have to check the park before letting their kids run free with in the fenced in area. (I'm one of those parents who always check, even tho my child knows what the needles are and why they are dangerous!)
My 4 year old absolutely loves this park! Its usually a daily occurrence for the wife and myself. It's not huge but plenty big for little ones. The park could use a little up keep. Other than that, it's great for families!

The landscaping and gazebo are beautiful. It's a gorgeous view over the river and one of Laconia's finest locations. There are 3 pokestops here and a gym close by also!

Great little park and well maintained. We have gone her for both the park and Soccer games. The club house is nice and taken care of. Great place for a picnic or a birthday party. Love going to the little craft fairs and they also have a little kids carnival during the summer. If you need a place for a function this is a good place to consider.

It's an okay place to sit for a little while. If you bring young kids there, parents need to definitely watch them really closely cause the park is surrounded by the main road.

Amazing place to walk around. The wife and I took the dogs for a nice long walk in the snow. Would love to go back in the nicer weather and walk a little further through the woods. The main trail buts against Winnipesaukee so we had a chance to walk out onto the frozen lake.

Great places with lots to do. Take a hike on one of the many trails or take a dip in the crystal clear lake with sand and pebble beach free of debris.
Update:
It's still absolutely gorgeous to come out here. Be mindful of swimming advisories (always read the posted material that can be found at the parking lot)
