Top Parks in Owen Sound, Canada

Such a wonderful park to visit. A playground for all the ages with something to do for everyone. From camping to hiking, basketball to swimming, tennis courts to actual playgrounds. When the fun is all done settle in for an ice cream in the summer at the walk up window or have a sit down meal at the restaurant.

A beautiful park, lots of free parking. They have a playground, bathrooms and a restaurant. The Sydenham river flows through it, very beautiful. There is a trail that leads you to Inglis falls. Takes about 1.5hrs but we'll worth the hike. The park seems to be very popular is the nice weather.

All inclusive City Park. They even have nice long several trail and campground. They don't need to go far place for camp or hike, that is plivilege for people live in Owen Sound. There is a concession near the restaurant and their ice cream is sooooo good. They provide some famous ice cream shop in London, Ontario.

While I haven’t had the chance to use the park to its full extent, hiking from Harrison Park to Inglis falls was one of the most picturesque trails i’ve hiked in a while. The terrain varies from smooth and paved, beneath a gorgeous canopy of trees, with several bridge crossings, has some moderate hill climbs, an easy walk through an arboretum, then back into the forest walking along the Sydenham River. As you get closer to Inglis Falls, there are several footbridges and also the ascent to the top has a fair bit of rocky terrain. Takes about an hour from Harrison Park to Inglis Falls on that trail.

Great little trail, kinda feels like you're in a jungle at some points. Be wary of the poison ivy though, there is a thick patch of it along the eastern portion of the trail.

Great place for a bike ride

Super polite staff! Wonderful place for family/ friends or a special night for just the two of ya! From so many hiking trails we probably missed some. But never ending this too pass the time! Definitely have referred some Friends and have another stay planned.

This was probably the best place we've visited in Owen Sound; this park is free to enter and free parking with camping available (at a fee). This park has everything for everyone, from playgrounds and a basketball court for kids to trails and a restaurant for the whole family. The only thing this place doesn't have is a gift shop for shopping.

There are a lot of trails in this park, some of which connect to Inglis Falls (around 1 hour hike for myself and wife). The trails can be muddy from recent rain and have many uneven grounds from tree roots and rocks. We missed the entry point to Inglis Falls, but there was one available, but you would need to pay a fee to enter (or free if you go from the trails).

There is a decent restaurant on site with average prices and food and a concession stand on the side of the building. The park also had a fenced area with swans and other small bodies of water.

Overall, I would definitely recommend coming here whether you are from Owen Sound or just visiting. We spent a few hours here hiking and ate at the restaurant afterward. Also, the ice cream you get from the concession stand comes in a generous amount (recommend).

A Lovely Jewel In Owen Sound
My family and I visited this park back in August 2022 during our long trip from Ottawa to Tobermory. Sorry that we could not spend much time but there was enough time to appreciate every aspect of the park (picnic tables, mini-zoo, beautiful trails, etc). Staff were very friendly especially the young lady at the rental place). Will definitely consider coming back. Well recommended.

Nice, quiet conservation area with beach area and hiking trails.

Wonderful spot to go for a hike, photography or to just relax. Breath of fresh air and surrounded by nature. Many local trails close by. You'll always spot something amazing here. Just remember leave nothing but footprints. Park features benches and a sandy stone like beach. Amazing panoramic view of the bay. Good spot to go any day. Closed during winter (inner parts of park aren't plowed, amazing spot for snowshoeing though!).

The park was not being serviced/maintained when I went in mid-May. No garbage bins, very unkept on the grounds and landscaping. It could have the potential of being a beautiful park, if it got some extra gardening and landscaping budget.

I love coming here to walk my dog or just to come here and read under my umbrella. It's such a beautiful spot and it's a special gem of our area!!

Good place for a walk, a little bit of forest, place to park a car and access to the lake.

Hibou park and beach is one of my top favorite summer spots for swimming and picnics. The water even gets warm.
