Park and community centre around a corner community sports field. Well maintained by council.
Spacious place and very good place for kids to play
Great trails and a beautiful area to explore especially during wildflower season.
Beautiful park, Canteen open during footy season, friendly place.
Easy flat walking paths on limestone gravel pathways. Some birdlife and bobtails can be seen. This is a remnant bushland you can't get lost in. Nicer viewing in autumn and winter months. Summer this place is very dry and not much to look at.
This really is the jewel in Victoria Park. Wildflowers in abundance and some beautiful bushland. Get a breath of fresh air here!
Only went as quick stop for my dog,definitely going to return & take a good look/walk.
Went back today (perfect weather),took the path walk around bushland, good walk,only downfall dogs have to be leashed, but still a nice walk. Then you get back to oval & dogs can run & play unleashed.
It's only 15mins,& seemed to be many different smells for dog,she enjoyed the walk & ball play.🤗🐶

Kensington Park is an ideal venue for both children and adults, as it provides ample space for outdoor recreational activities. Additionally, the park includes community rooms that are well-suited for hosting intimate gatherings. Convenient roadside parking facilities further enhance the appeal of the park, making it an overall satisfactory destination for visitors of all ages.
Often the park surrounding a cricket ground seems extraneous to needs, but not here. The park is well maintained and quite attractive, great viewing of the oval too. A community centre is nice, play area for the children - and a statue of a female (!) cellist adds to the experience.
a.k.a. Jirdarup (Nyoongar word meaning “place of birds"). Lovely area of preserved natural bushland. Good place to spot black cockatoos, among other birds.

Love walking on this track, I always seem to find really good things to take pictures of. Great way to unwind!!
Kensington Park is such a wonderful local suburban family area. From the oval to the community centre, to playground for the kids or the community exercise equipment on offer. As well there is always a few young guys around the basketball court willing to have some one on one playtime.

Come here to spot the endangered black cockatoos, really cool that local council has put in water sources for the birds.
Over the last few years the Town along with the Friends of Jirdarup, Vic Park Urban Foresters and other community organisations have re-vegetated and cared for George Street reserve. There is so much biodiversity and as it's adjacent to Kensington Bushland there is plenty to see.
Nice halls with good kitchen facilities & open area for children. With play ground.
Love walking through here, lots of birdlife and in spring the native flowers and wildflowers are lovely. It's great to see so much pink myrtle, donkey orchids and yellow wattle, smells lovely in spring too. Great dog park nearby also. There's a lovely frog mouthed owl family there also 😀

It's a small but lovely park with plenty of trees (2-3 are very large, a shady place to lay down and relax, a playground for kids, a field next to it. Drinking water fountain is between the playground and the basketball field. They finished renovating the east section! There is a small bike rack near the community building.
