So much potential, ignored by city needing major maintenance
Enjoyable walking and bicycle path. A scape from the scorching heat in summer time. Most of the path in the shade. The tarmac of the path is in perfect condition even for going with your baby’s stroller.

They have a great outdoor water feature. My child loves playing here.
This could be a beautiful little trail but it is horribly maintained. Lots of brush overgrowth taking over the designated trail, bridges are broken, and gate is locked at end limiting any ability to actually get in a nice jog. Whoever owns this trail needs to either come in and clean this up or take the sign down advertising this area as a green belt location. This is a disappointment to the great work that other agencies are doing to the green spaces around Memphis.

Saw this blues band in the the very large gazebo. Art in the park last weekend. The park is of good size, plenty of space for a big dog. Right on the edge of the cooper young District. we had a blast checking out the venders and artist displaying there work. Parking was a little tight but very easy to access.
Nice small green space near the tracks and not far from other fun walkable places. Fun art to explore.
Beautiful path for walking, running and biking.

I like how spacious it is. Big fields that the kids can play independently in. Cannot wait till they turn on the water play area. My son is really looking foward to it.
Great place to ride bikes, scooters, roller blades with your friends or family or by yourself. There is little shade by the lake but the walking trail along the lake is one of our favorite attractions at the park.

A premier Urban Park in the heart of Memphis. Beautiful lakes, peaceful walking past and plenty of fun outdoors activities. This gem should never be taken for granted.

We went to Shelby Farms for the Starry Nights Christmas Lighting. It was very organized with the flow of cars through the entire tour. The was a station where you could stop to get hit chocolate. Oaying in advance was no different than paying upon arrival. The was a lot of time and effort in displaying all the lights for tourist viewing pleasure. It showcased many of Memphis attractions in lighting form. There were so many things that made you go ahhh. Would definitely recommend viewing this when there for the winter season.
Shelby Farms is absolutely beautiful in the spring. There are so many flowers, butterflies, and bees along the main trail. Sometimes you see wild deer.

Hyde lake is a good place to go and walk, run or cycle for exercise. There are separate paths first foot and cycle traffic but unfortunately it’s no longer marked clearly so when walking you have to pay attention to avoid cyclists and people on those damn electric scooters! Refreshing the signage would help a lot. Also, they don’t know the difference between London Bridge and Tower Bridge.
The off leash dog area is an awesome feature.
My favorite place to run, bike, walk my dog! Literally moved to my current apartment because of its proximity to the greenline. Well maintained year-round, safe, shady, flat, hidden gem of Memphis.

Memphis is very fortunate to have such a large and well maintained park as this. Great variety of walks, lots of parking, excellent and clean facilities plus a gift shop and coffee shop.
It's a very nice clean park. I love the trail. I like how they offer a separate bike trail and walk trail during most of the trail. The lake view makes the walk not seem long!! Love it.
Needs maintenance. Bridge is broken and can't walk more than an eighth of a mile without having to turn around. Overgrown and broken. No good

Took my son to this park twice and he enjoyed himself the first time I took him. The second time I took him he had fun getting wet and playing with the other kids
This trail is nice and the lily pads are fun to look at up close but the wooden bridge in the tunnel has settled/broken and it's too flooded to walk through without some tall boots. Otherwise, this is a nice wooded walking path.
Really nice little walking trail. We didn't walk the whole thing, but we did enjoy what we did walk. Our dog loved getting out for a nice walk. The scenery was nice, saw some pretty flowers. Saw a snake in the water, a deer, and some ducks. Trail just needs a bit more care and maintaining.
I am a frequent visitor at Shelby Farms Park. It is one of my favorite places to go. The atmosphere is calm, peaceful, and harmonious. The restroom and playground are always clean and pleasant smelling. It is dog-friendly. The picnic areIs always cleaned and well organized. The aesthetic beauty of Shelby Farms Park is wonderful. I highly recommend this place to go and relax and enjoy yourself alone and/or with family and friends. You won't be disappointed.
Needs some care. Trails are begining to get over grown.
Probably one of the most delightful hidden gems in all of Blues Town. We've ridden this trail a couple of times from each end, and it is not only well maintained, but an excellent option to be able to be outdoors while mostly shaded from Memphis summer sun.
Nice place to bike and run
Pretty nice park perfect for a smallish hike. Trail isn't long at all. Not uncommon to spot rabbits, deer, geese, and turtles. Watch out for snakes near the ponds. Speaking of the ponds while they look great for fishing I've never seen anyone pull a bass, brim, cat or etc out of the ponds. All in all, still a solid park for walking, picnics, you name it.
The trail starts between Arby's and 34. It's not marked very well. Other than that it's quiet and serene.
It would be a nice walk if it was took care of. Watch out for snakes. If you have dogs and take them watch out for ticks. It would be a nice place to walk if the grass was cut and the trash was picked up.
Beautiful trail to walk accessing in Weedsport. After a mile take a left when you hit the road then another left and you can feed a few horses if you brought some apples. Really wonderful place.
It can get very busy but it is a great trail to run, walk, cycle and skate on. Away from cars and very shaded for hot days.
It is not maintain in a proper way so give you a jungle type experience. If you visit here you can hear sounds of many insects as it is very calm and silent place.
Nice for relaxing, a cute swim hole. Not much for fishing.
The Canalway is a welcoming, well-developed, forgiving asset for.the bicycle tourist.
I've ridden across on the trail many times. A real joy
Wonderful paved bike trail with plenty of shade.

This was the cutest little park!! We'd never been and definitely didn't know there was a splash pad! A park, perfect picnic area, AND water play?? Perfect family fun on a budget!
This is a nice easy peaceful place to ride your bike or take a walk.
Great urban route. Lots of shade.
This is a great access point to a less used part of the canal. And it's right by and old aquaduct and swimming hole. It's also very near the halfway point of the original Erie canal.
Ruins of an old portion of an aqueduct and water level control gate from the original Erie Canal are still present here. Parking for 4-5 cars, not a bad spot to get on and off the trail and maybe try some fishing in Carpenter's Brook.
