Obviously a great spot for kids

But the hidden gem 💎 about this spot is it’s excessive beach glass!!

Been going up the west coast Lake Michigan and no spot compares so far. Nuts for how “small” this is.

I was there for many hours on business calls and just perusing the rocky beach.

Gazebos, bathrooms, and a great park too!
A beautiful view of the Mackinac Bridge and one of the most gorgeous sunsets you could ever hope to see.

I was so excited to see the bridge! It was awesome. There is a little park. It's the last exit before you go over the bridge on the west side. They have lots of information about the bridge and paths with pretty flowers.

I always enjoy visiting this park. Unfortunately it was incredibly foggy and I wasn't able to see the bridge and out into the streets as I usually am. Hopefully in the next day or two while I am up here it will clear up. I always appreciate how clean the park is.

Mackinaw Bridge View Park offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and engineering marvel. The park’s picnic area is a delightful spot to savor a meal while taking in breathtaking views of the iconic Mackinaw Bridge.

The picnic area is well-maintained, with ample seating and picnic tables, making it an ideal place for families and friends to gather for a meal or a relaxing afternoon. What sets this park apart is its prime location; it provides unrivaled vistas of the majestic Mackinac Bridge.

As you enjoy your picnic, you’ll be treated to a panoramic view of this magnificent suspension bridge, which connects Michigan’s Upper and Lower Peninsulas. The sight of the bridge stretching across the Straits of Mackinac is truly awe-inspiring, especially when bathed in the warm glow of the sun during sunset.

Whether you’re a nature enthusiast or simply seeking a picturesque setting for a picnic, Mackinaw Bridge View Park delivers on both fronts. It’s a place where you can unwind, connect with nature, and appreciate the impressive engineering feat that is the Mackinaw Bridge. Don’t forget your camera; you’ll want to capture these stunning views to cherish long after your visit.

Great park to stop by either on your way to the U.P. or heading back home down to the lower peninsula. One of the best views of the bridge since it’s pretty close but also not too far. Visiting during sunset while eating a pasties is exactly what my friend and I did before our drive back to Detroit.
nice park with a good view of the lighthouse and an interesting plaque about shipwrecks in Michigan's Great Lake's waters

Stunning views of the Mackinaw bridge just before crossing and trading the yooper life back for the troll life. Good place to stretch, nice bathrooms. The water was cold! Rocks were sharp just to wade our feet in. Next vacation like this and I'm bringing along water shoes.

A remarkable view of the bridge. It's simply breathtaking I recommend stopping here when you get off the bridge and just look and take it all in!, Oh one more thing when going over the bridge at late-night be careful of the birds they're everywhere flying across on the road even.

What a great free place to stop and stretch you or your pets legs before or after crossing the bridge. This place has nice views of the lake and Mackinac Bridge. There is ample parking and benches with a small picnic area. There is a small visitor building that has a cool map on the floor as well as very clean bathrooms.
An extremely nice swimming and picnic area. Crystal clear water and sand lake bottom. Numerous trees are marked to be cut down in the picnic area. Drinking water pump appears to be out of service.
Nice little "beach" with a park and great views of Mackinac Island and the Wawatam Lighthouse.

Took our dog for a leashed paddle in the Lake - wasn't very crowded either of the times we were there.

Cute little pitstop before you head further downtown St.Ignace.

Very nice walk along Lake Huron. There are public bathrooms along the wall too. We started at the lighthouse end. The sun dial in the Chief Wawatam’s park is a fun little photo op. Also, across the street, a little to the right is Harbor Hope coffee house. They have delicious coffee and a very relaxing atmosphere where you can rest and work on a puzzle.
Recommend this walk. It is pedestrian only, no bikes.

Nice little stroll through st Ignace, next to lake Huron.
What a fun playground for kids! There is a long ramp for kids to walk up, or there are stairs to get onto the play structure, too. There are a lot of slides, and there is a tic tac toe. There are a couple pavilions, and some bleachers. There is a nice beach area, too.
Very quiet and no crowds. Nice spot for a picnic.
Beautiful and quiet view of the lake. Small with only 4 tables and grills, but perfect for two enjoying an afternoon picnic ❤️
Picked up the NCT in this area. Beautiful hike
Shallow warm waters for mid June surprised me as I waded and fished here in 2017. Perfect too for launching canoe or kayak here as well. It was a beautiful lake to kayak on later that week. Lots if fish jumping, but nobe were buying that dsy. I am going to come back here again.
Perfect day at a very clean and peaceful lake
