Very well maintained, never crowded, nice place for a walk with your dog or a jog. Beautiful dog park and pond where you can fish. If you're interested in flowers, check out the arboretum.

I recently visited this beautiful park with lush green grass, and it was an amazing experience! The park is incredibly well-maintained, with plenty of open spaces perfect for picnics, sports, or just relaxing. It’s also very pet-friendly, with ample room for dogs to run and play. The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting, making it a great spot for families and pet owners alike. Highly recommended for a relaxing day out!

My sweet girlfriend took me to this park, and I loved it. Clean and spacious. Plenty of room to ride our bicycles. We made such beautiful memories here. Luv my girl and I luv this park

Today is not a very pretty day but found myself with a few minutes unexpectedly sooo...short walk. There are a variety of trails here. All are nicely groomed and of moderate level. The walk around the lake is pretty any day but its still a bit muddy yet. Watch for snakes by the bridge, they love it over there. There used to be an awesome tree ID trail here,it would be great if some motivated eagle scout remade that!

This is a gem! There are two playgrounds, one for older kids (5-12), and for younger kids (2-5). My kids (9, 7, 2) had a blast and didn't want to leave. There are pavilion and many picnic tables. Porter potty is available at the parking lot. I would definitely come back here.

Winding Hills is a local favorite and its beautiful to see it at any time of the year but you cant deny the magic of the fall color. A good variety of trails here as well as camping and a lake. Fishing isnt the best though many people try.

We've been going to this park for years. It's a beautiful place to walk around. The park has everything. Picnic areas, playgrounds, golf course, horse stables, fishing, dog parks, ball fields, tennis courts, tubing hill and much more. My favorite place to walk my dogs.

Always an amazing experience at winding hills when camping. The ranger was super nice and checked us in for the evening. We had an electric hookup spot so it was $35 for one night- FYI- there are no full hookup spots at this campground. We stayed here on a Saturday night on an off holiday so it wasn’t too busy - but definitely book ahead of time on holiday weekends for a spot. There are multiple trails you can take to hike on or you can walk the roads which are well paved. We took our dog with us and everyone seemed respectful of the leash policy which is great since we have a fearful dog and we wanted this to be a positive experience for her. The one family across from us decided to blare their music at one point in the evening, but the ranger came right up and asked them to turn it down respectfully since a majority of campers are quiet here. There are campfire rings provided and picnic tables at every site. Park is very well maintained daily and the bathrooms are very clean for being a campground. They clean them in the morning and in the evening which I find is awesome.

We enjoy the arbitorium. Beautiful, peaceful, well maintained.
They have several pavilions that can be rented. Which is easy to do.

Clean and Quiet. Nice place to let go!

Nice place for fishing. My son loved it here. He caught a blue gill and a largemouth bass

Beautiful lake. Hard bottom boats or kyacks. No swimming at this lake. Kyack launch. Cannot walk out on the dock, which is a little disappointing. Several trails and little areas to extend your fishing experience. Free entry. Ample parking. Dog friendly, on leash, pick up after them.

A county gem that seems under utilized. The county arboretum is here and just gorgeous in warmer months. Deer fencing makes people think its closed..its not...just drive right up to the gate and it will open. Sallys dream is a great playground with accomodation based equipment so all kids can play! An active dog park. Great sledding in winter. A lovely golf course and lodge. Also a fitness trail and pond for fishing. There is something here for most everyone.

Expensive campground for out of state visitors at around $40, but I got a really sweet spot in October as the season wound down. Last year I was able to enjoy a campfire in the rain! Magical. I wonder what happened to the swan. It wasn’t there this year. Hope it didn’t die and instead flew off to find love again. Interestingly enough, I saw a swan at my local swamp when I returned home.
Pros: first come first served (could cause some anxiety, but I’ve always found spots); new for this year: nice guys come around with huge stacks of wood for about $6. Some short trails you can walk around, or take a drive to the more busy trails nearby (but get there early).
Also, the cleanest bathroom/shower I’ve ever seen in a campground. Wow! Wish I would’ve taken advantage. Water felt good and hot.

We were shocked that the park was locked up on a Saturday and there's no running water fountain near the playground this was not good if you just wanted to take your kids out to play in the park

The playground area is a little sunny and urbany, the river area next to the lake is very cozy and feels like I'm in a peaceful garden

Such a great place if you want to go camping for the first time. There are plenty of public restrooms and they are kept clean. The campers are friendly and the campsites are close together. The employees are constantly driving around to make sure everything is okay. Ou feel safe. You'll need to bring cash to pay for your site. But except for holidays just pick an empty site and wait for an employee on a golf cart to approach you for payment. There's a tiny park and a lake for fishing as far as activities go. If you want to walk or drive a bit further into the park, you'll find a larger park in the back near a small lake. If you're tent camping you'll be on gravel and not grass so bring something soft to layer your tent with.

I love running in this park, good paved trails and hilly, gives me a good workout without going too far. 2 miles gives me what I need😅

I visited my family in Sheridan heights I don't go to the park all the time.I do no it is a nice commity to stay at.

Clean park. Try going in the day time ,its much safer.

One of the nicest campsite we’ve ever been. The only thing is they have no reservation, so you just wish that there’s campsite available. Its a first come, first serve basis. If you saw an available camp site, you just gotta stay there, build your tent, and do what you gotta do. The staff site will just come to your campsite for the payment. And we asked what time is the check out, he said until 7pm. Bad thing we need to go home early, so we didn’t have the chance to visit everything corner of the campsite.
The place was well maintained! So clean. And this is the cleanest public restroom I’ve ever been, seriously. Been in a lot of campsites already and I’ve never seen any clean restroom. That’s the biggest point for me.
And they have electricity in the site. You just gotta pay extra to use it. $35 for no electricity, and $40 with electricity. Good thing we bought rice cooker. We’re not that good in cooking rice on charcoal/wood. So we enjoy more our bbq. Lol.
Overall, we definitely gonna come back! Hopefully next summer or next fall again!

Actually went to Orange County Aboretum, not sure if it's one in the same with Thomas Bull Memorial Park. With my Garden Club doing a guided tour. Very impressed with the gardens, sculptures & best part it is free! Great place to walk with families and leashed dogs also allowed.

We had a family gathering there but cops was locking the gates n putting us out n it wasn't like we were doing anything wrong

Nice quiet place to either walk the trails or have a picnic.

Lovely little park. I wish they shoveled down by the boat launch, but we were still able to take some lovely photos around the lakes. It's not a very busy place and there is a lot of parking. Looks like there's a lot to do in the warmer months too. Aside from hiking, you can also camp and go boating.

I love this place. The paths are paved, people are friendly, nature is all around you!

Awesome park. Playgrounds, grassy volley ball court, basketball, tennis, baseball field? Hike & bike trails, river stream, dog park and more. Something for everyone to enjoy. Photos are of the river stream area of the park. Serene nature. Just what I needed. 🙂

Nice park to walk around with the dog.

A great place to walk for exercise. I recently started and I enjoyed it.

The gym and pool is awesome, however the play ground is sad. The wood is termite eaten. Ants are everywhere. I took my 3 year old grandson to the play area but it was so bad we left. The slide is rusty and bent. It needs some serious upgrades.

It is a beautiful park. Great place to go on an easy hike, have lunch and read a book by the river.

Fishing place. You can rent a boat.nice place

Clean, quiet, scenic path to walk , run , or bicycle. I meet many other dog walkers here. The path is kept up beautify. Just a really nice to enjoy nature at its finest.

In my opinion its ok. Nothing fancy or eye catching. But its alright. It has baseball fields(2 of those side by side as if one wasnt good enough). It has a walking track.(thats a plus)in the middle of the walking track the mexicans like to use the grass for soccer practice on sunday. it has not 1 but 2 parks side by side for small kids(as if one wasnt good enough) it has a community center that offers a swimming pool, an indoor basketball
Court(even though its basketball ball courts outside in kiddie park number 2.(kiddie park number 2 also has a barely used tennis court) the community center offers senior citizen activities and summer programs for kids 12 and younger. And the community center has a game room. Clean restrooms.
Pretty friendly staff. In my opinion i think this place needs to be updated! Take away kiddie park number 2. Take down the outside basketball and tennis court. Enclose that huge water filled Ditch( it causes snakes and turtles to be on peoples back porch)
Tear down those kiddie swings etc. Add more covered tables for more outdoor seating.( this place only has one covered seating area) extend the walking track to make it bigger. Stretching over into kiddie park number 2. Add trees. (FRUIT TREES, apple tree, pear tree, peach tree, plum tree)
Flowers.LOTS OF Wild FLOWERS. A MEDITATION WATER FOUNTAIN with white rocks. A SMALL PLACE FOR PRAYER Make the place appealing. Good grief.
