I really enjoy the clean fields and the concession stand, but the bathrooms are so awful. It’s not the fault of the parks team- people are just gross.
Great place for nature walk... friendly staff...good birding.

The soccer fields weren't great. There were goose poop everywhere. I was going to play a game there and me myself and my bad got all dirty. I think they should at least try to do something about it.

Very nice bunch of baseball/softball fields. Permanent bathrooms. Pretty good snack shack. Nice place for a ball game.

Hot air balloon festival hosted here was an amazing experience. There were about 15 hot air balloons and worth watching.. tethered rides were offered in situ which was cash only. Several food trucks and beverages were stalled.

This review is for the balloon festival at Tymor Park and not for the park itself.
Our family had a summer home nearby back when this was Tymor Farm and Tymor Forest. Friends were members of the snowmobile club there back in the 1970s, and the park has certainly grown and changed since then.

The balloon festival was, at best, okay.

Excellent:
The balloons were beautiful.

Good:
Variety of food offerings (but pricey).
Maintenance of porta-potties and hand wash stations.

Needs Improvement:
Vendors were mostly cheap flea market grade,
Food was pricey for what you got.
The posted schedule wasn't followed.
Blaring constant country music.
Rides were few, and carnival style.
Crowds were huge and shade minimal.
Security was haphazard: if you're going to wand people, do it on both sides... and jokes about ARs being concealed in beach chair or umbrella cases aren't funny in this day and age.

Some people skipped the actual entry to the festival and simply stayed in or near their parked car, enjoying food and beverages they brought rather than the overpriced food stand offerings.

I wouldn't attend again.

The functionality of this park by todays standard is limited. Great for baseball but not much else. The pond area can use some maintenance & the parking lot could be paved. You get very dusty When walking around the pond because of the dirt & debris from the parking lot.

Great pond to walk around. Another trail that goes around the entire park. Plenty to do here, basketball, soccer fields, playground, fishing. Watch the beavers, geese, ducks.

It’s a huge park with a lot of soccer fields and I come here sometimes for a soccer tournaments. One thing I don’t like though is that there are many bird poops on the ground, and the park is in the middle of nowhere. But I still enjoy this park and it is nice for kids too, because it has a nice vibe playground.

One of my kids favorite playgrounds! Fenced in, rubber floor and lots of cool stuff. Unfortunately, no actual bathroom unless there is a soccer game tho, but porta-potty is available tho.

Spacious park in Union Vale/LaGrangeville. Typically you see no more than seven people in it year round, except during the Hudson Valley Balloon Festival which attracts crowds from all over. In September 2022, Larry Sharpe appeared at the Dutchess County Libertarian Party's booth at the festival.

Nice neighborhood park and a really good location for the hot air baloon festival because theres plenty of parking across the street and the field is sunken down without and trees blocking so you can view the balloons from all around.

A very nice, scenic park. We had a birthday party in the pavilion area by the creek. The weather turned bad but we all kept safe and somewhat dry under the pavilion until the storm passed.

It's a cute and nice park. They replaced the wood chips with springy ground covering on the playground and the fields are pretty big as well. There is a nice walking trail around a small pond and it's all in all a nice family place.
