Cute, went in May and the water was so cold. Intimate but tiny. Not much to do.
Nice place. Observation tower there will lift you above the tree level but you have to climb the stairs 😉 Beautiful lake view.
After a fairly easy hike on a gravel path, the Dunks Bay lookout is breathtaking. The colour and clarity of the water, the vista, the easy climb from the platform to the rocks all combine to make it worth the walk.
What a hidden gem! The pictures speak a thousand words... but when u are there.. the sheer magnanimity of the place makes you forget the camera and u feel like just absorbing.. such an amazing end to a beautiful walking trail..
Trail start from visitor center parking lot. Trail up to the look out point is easy and wheelchair accessible.
Next section connected to mutiple trails and it can be 3km or 7km trail. What ever the route you take it is worthy. Few view points overlooking lake huron. Amazing view. Shallow water with rocky area.
Trail has different level if difficulty.
Recommend this to anyone visiting here.

Wonderful bay, clear water and great scenario. Too bad the beach reserved to tourists is 1/10th or less of the available beach. And guess what? The rest of the “private beach” is totally empty. But still worth a visit and a swim.
It's an amazing view from here. It's worth a visit. It's a short walk from the Parks Canada Visitor Centre. Please don't litter
Great view of the lake where one can sit, grab a drink, relax and swim... Take a kayak for a nice float around

Pros:
-the sand is nice, white, and soft
-clear beautiful water

Cons:
-The public part of the beach is so small, can only fit a few groups of people
-At the time of writing this (July 5th) the water is extremely cold compared to Sauble beach an hour away
-parking is 5$/hr, 30$ for the day
One of the best places to hike in Tobermory. It's just a 10 minute hike from parking and the view from here is breath taking. The hike is also though the woods and is not taxing either.

You can sit and relax on the rocks here and even enter the water if the weather is great.

The water is clear and serene.

The entrance cost is just cad 31 for car parking and entrance.
If you're a hiker, the burnt point loop right off this look-out is a must! Takes about two hours to complete if you're taking some time to explore. I went over Easter weekend and didn't see a single other person hiking the loop, it was very peaceful. The rock formations on the beach are unreal. Some really nice swimming spots half way through the hike. You can walk along the water front and find the trail again, it's very scenic.

Its an extremely nice beach, unlike anything in Ontario. There is public access but MUST BE WARNED, it is a very small section and the way it’s shared with private property is extremely weird. It’s like a small border between.

Absolutely beautiful. In the Alvar area there are numerous ancient cedars that resemble natural bonsais. Fantastic westerly views of Lake Huron.

If you’re here for the beach: it’s not really worth it despite the nice landscape and beautiful view. The part of the beach that is accessible to the public is unfortunately only very small about 10-20 meters wide and surrounded by “private property”. For me personally, it just evoked anger at the fact that people can own such a beautiful beach and that it was therefore withheld from the general public. It was also quite disappointing to pay for parking for this. There is however a beautiful section of the Bruce trail nearby which I can only recommend to hike and take a look at!
ok, small beach and parking that don't need booking; 2 toilets near

Don’t waste your time to come here. Mostly private beach & blocked off.

Beautiful and clean ,not crowded but small and no facilities. The water front for swimming is just 10 meters and the whole beach is private property.

Fantastic natural area. Very close to Toronto and a great place to experience the natural beauty of Tobermory.
Perfect place to have plane a picnic.
