I wish there was a little bit more things to do for the children, and a little bit more shade. But I like it and so does my child.

A peaceful place with a small play area sided by a nice small stream of water and a small bridge nearby... A good one to spend some peaceful time with not much disturbance. Could be used as a picnic area too as there is a ground aside for our convenience. I couldn't find a restroom (something could be looked into).

The scenic views are pleasant, and the walking trails provide a peaceful escape. However, the park lacks amenities like restrooms and seating areas, making longer visits less comfortable. Maintenance could be improved, as some areas feel neglected. It's a nice spot for a quick nature walk but could use enhancements for a more enjoyable experience.

It a lovely park with walking trail around it. It was much better if it had some parking spots, so no need to park in front of other residents.

Emmy kids LOVE the huge zip line! It is like a mini roller coaster :) I would love if the park had swings or smaller slides for my younger kids, but we love going as it is, too!

Great place to walk, rent a cayak, practice disc throwing, organize a picnic with friends or family or just relax.
I love this park. It's very child friendly. They recently upgraded the play area . It's great for multiple ages, including toddlers. There are lots of fun things for them to explore, touch, and spin aside from the swings and slides. It's also situated by a small body of water with turtles to watch and has some great walking paths surrounding the park as well, along with a covered eating area. The only downside is that there are no restrooms. But if you're looking for a local park with great families and a local community, this one is very sweet.

Beautiful place with wide open spaces. Truly feel you are away from everything. The only issue were the directions from Google had us turn before we go to the event parking.

Nice little park in Craig Ranch. Good mix of little kid and big kid equipment. Accessible swings for children with limitations. Great location.

This little neighborhood park has lots to offer! You can have a family barbecue while the kids play on the jungle gym. You can also fish the pond or watch the turtles swimming around. There's picnic tables, benches for sitting and plenty of grass for playing.

Nice shaded neighborhood playground. It has swings, slides and picnic tables. There is no restrooms or water fountain. There is walking trail and open area for team sports. Parking is available by the school. Park could be busy or hard to find parking during school hours.

When we don't have a ton of time but want a nice walk, we head up to Towne Lake! It's not very big and it can get very busy but we just walk other trails nearby when it's busy around the lake. It's a pretty little lake and a scenic place to walk.

Love this neighborhood lake/park!! Nice walking trails (sidewalks) around the perimeter of the lake. Gorgeous views of the water & trees. This park is right across a high school and I felt safe walking in this area. There were ducks as well as a sand volleyball area for rec.

Vintage Market Days and other large events disrupts local traffic because they only have one entry and one exit. Traffic gets backed up in both north and south directions. I have attended events in the past as I am only a few miles away but will not attend any more until Myers Park shows some consideration for local residents.

Nice city park right next to a swimming pool, plenty of parking, green areas a trail and a covered pavilion that can fit around 6 big picnic tables. It has a playground for little kids and also a very cool one for big kids. Many trees/shaded areas.

Lone Star Twilight Camp was fun!
There were some things I did like about this park but my toddler was walking on the concrete behind the swings and stopped to play at the bench (I was about 10 feet away pushing my other toddler in the swing) and directly under the bench was a large ant pile. My sons foot, back, neck, hand, ears were attacked by ants in a matter of 30 seconds. He started swelling and had to go to urgent care just to make sure he was not in immediate danger. It’s RIDICULOUS that there are large ant piles at a Childrens playground. I don’t feel safe at this park and I will not return.

I give it a 2-star. I was born and raised in McKinney and lived in the area which used to be a landfill where Wattley Park is now located. There were not many nearby parks for the neighborhood kids or families to gather at in that area until Wattley Park was installed with not many things like what you would see at parks on the other side of town. I would say it is substandard and past due for upgrading what little equipment that's there. Add a splash pad for the little ones and a tennis court and definitely more lighting and park benches. I love the city and still come there often. This would definitely be a plus for the city of McKinney to take on this project by spending some of the millions allocated for park upgrades in the city. The community pays taxes and deserves a better park. And adding restrooms would be a nice necessary convenience.

Not finished. But fun enough. One side closed off and some parts missing pieces to use. But will be cool when done.
Update: 1/25 slides are finished!
The bell ringing thing still doesn’t work but great park.

Cute park! The pavilion items could be better and bolted down, the playground equipment is probably past it’s lifetime (the structure itself is actually pretty good for a neighborhood park, may need some of the newer equipment available/expansion), and it could use some more trees, but other than that it’s pretty good. One thing that’s annoying is the trash cans are the kind without lids so the trash blows all over the park and up the street. I actually like that there aren’t any restrooms. It’s a neighborhood park and the houses are really close, so it keeps (most) of the heavy traffic away that is really hazardous because the children that live nearby often walk/bike/skateboard on the road. That’s why there are larger parks with restrooms nearby designed for more traffic...

I've been going to this lake since I was a child. I love it here. The new park is great and there is another one back by the nature trail. The sidewalk is now really well lit the whole way around for evening runs. Also, my kids absolutely love it here. We like to feed the ducks and watch the turtles sunbathing along the edges of the lake.

This lake is nice and clean. The common area is doing well but needs a bit of repair and maintenance. There are lots of surrounding area owned and managed by the Corps of Engineers and will remain in its natural state.

Please note: This is private property for Stonebridge residents only. The lake is catch and release ONLY. Many people make efforts to stock these lakes for the fishing enjoyment of residents. Please don't remove fish.

Many wedding and prom photographers use this area without permission or permit. Most of the residents don't mind as long as they can drive through. If you are meeting a group of people, please make sure cars can easily get through.
