This place is filthy. The glasses all had stains on them, the table cloth has old stains. The chairs are so run down and basically falling apart. I didn’t feel comfortable eating off the plates or using the cutlery. They are clearly cutting corners with their cleaning. Disgusting!
This place....man oh man. It's falling apart, filthy and depressing. All the food was pre-made and reheated. The tablecloths are stained and torn. The glassware and utensils were all disgusting and dirty.

They should considering closing this place down. JUST GROSS.

Had a couple events at Sankkamam and both turned out great! Sugee and Shalini worked with us and met all our needs from start to finish. They had great communication with us throughout the process and during the event. They went above and beyond with the hall set up and stood by our side to ensure everything went as planned. Our two events at the hall were a sports banquet night and puberty ceremony which shows their versatility. Food was excellent and they offered tons of options. I highly recommend Sankkamam Party Hall for all your needs. Thank you Sugee and Shalini!

The venue is the perfect size for a decent gathering, very clean and the coordinator has a lot of options for your needs. Highly recommend this hall
We had saree ceremony on Queen Palace Banquet Hall. They were very organized and friendly. On time ceremony .and also we were happy to share our experience at Queen Palace Banquet Hall.food quality also good.management people and were staffs awesome. Good service..
We had a party on Sunday May 26, 2024. All of our guests were happy with the event. The staff was great, the atmosphere was spectacular and the service was excellent.

The dessert table was absolutely gorgeous, beautifully decorated, and truly outstanding. It offered a wide array of delicious treats that left everyone delighted. Choosing from the diverse selection of desserts was quite a challenge due to the tempting variety. Personally, I couldn't resist the delightful mini mango cups; they were definitely my top choice!

Do not waste your money here!!!!

This place is dirty! The plates, silverware, glasses, and bathrooms were all filthy. Food and drinks are rationed, and not adequate and the employees are rude to guests. I am surprised the health department is still allowing this place to operate under these filthy conditions.

The food was good the day we were there.

Other than that everything was disappointing.
The cleanest thing here are the disposable plastic glasses the bar serves drinks in.

I forgot to take pictures of the dirty glasses and plates to post online. Someone please post pictures!

Our car was broken into on March 10 at 8pm. When we told management, they said stuff like this never happens and stated that someone who came to the party must have done this. Basically, suggesting that someone from our family or friends broke in to our car- completely unprofessional.

After checking the reviews I see that another guests car was broken into on March 9. ONE DAY BEFORE IT HAPPENED TO US. Yet, management dismissed our safety and denied anything like this happened before when it clearly did.

Management should hire security, have more lighting, and take security precaution for their banquet hall. Ensuring guest safety and security should be the first priority, when having a banquet hall business.

For your safety avoid this hall.

My car got broken and stolen on Saturday-03.09.2024.

The culprit is closer to that place since the stolen iPhone location is still showing 40-Tuxedo Court.

Even though We have let management know, they are very very very busy with earning only money no any social response.

We suggested that installing additional security cameras and a light and deploying additional security personnel would help, but the response was very ignorant and arrogant.

BEFORE INVITING GUSTES TO THIS PLACE MAKE SURE YOU ARE ENSURING SAFETY OF THEIR BELOGNING.

Just recently had an event at Rembrandt Banquet Hall. I have hosted events at both the old and new locations. The owner and staff are friendly but also incredibly accommodating, making every event a seamless and enjoyable experience. Whether it's the classic charm of the old location or the updated elegance of the new one, Rembrandt Banquet Hall continues to exceed expectations. Thanks, Rembrandt!!!
All the events I’ve booked at Rembrandt Banquet Halls were nothing short of spectacular. The Owner, Maria Geroche, knows the business so well that arranging the details with her was such a breeze. She’s very friendly, actually a very warm person. I’m not surprised that she’s well-known and well-loved in the Community. It also seems to me that almost all the big celebrations are booked at Rembrandt. Great delicious food, attentive staff, and a very personalized service from the Owner. I definitely would recommend Rembrandt Banquet Halls as a venue for all your special occasions.
We had an amazing time hosting our Jack and Jill at Rembrandt BH. Owner Maria was super helpful during the planning process. She was quick to answer our questions and truly went above and beyond to ensure our night flowed perfectly. We especially loved how welcoming and warm Maria was - even checking in on us during the event to make sure we had everything we needed. I would 200% recommend this venue. Had an event at Rembrandt recently and it was truly an exceptional experience. Owner was really communicative and put in a lot of work to ensure the space was decorated beautifully. The food was delicious and prompt. Took a few minutes to learn the layout of the space with the help of staff, which was then easy to navigate (also super fun for the little ones to explore around). I love supporting family owned businesses and you can tell how much love and effort is put into the business from everyone. I heard of this place from fellow Filipinos who let us know this is a great venue that has been supporting the filipino community for nearly 20 years. Amazing efforts - can’t recommend this place enough!
I've known Maria since 2007 and I have attended events at Rembrandt Banquet Halls (at the old location and new one at 10 Milner Business Court). Not only did I attend events but also have organized my own events. Rembrandt is known for its great food, wonderful service and flexibility of the owner, Maria. Maria is the nicest and most understanding host you will ever get. She will readily work with you based on your budget and based on what you want at your event.

For the past years that I have known and been to Rembrandt, we did not experience any commotion, any untoward incident or any service where I would scream scammer or cheater. She's always happy, respectful and polite. She is one of the best people in our community - she wouldn't last this long if she scams people off of their money and if she provides bad service. Honestly, I would only attend a community event and pay for the ticket if the event is at Rembrandt because the food and drinks alone are all worth it! Seeing her at the hallways and saying hi to her is a plus.

So to those people that are planning to hold an event, I have to tell you that Rembrandt Banquet Hall is still the best option if you based it on budget, food and experience. I highly recommend Maria for her amazing service, flexibility and for giving a great experience.

Oh, yes, I have already booked an event for 200 people this August 2024!
Visited for my aunts retirement party before she leaves the country in a couple of days. The place itself was fine (although not enough for its price), and it was a lovely night until the power went out in ONLY the banquet building. Around 100 guests were patiently sitting in the pitch black for what seemed like hours, and the power being shut off wasn’t even the issue for us. I’ve visited many banquets like this for family members before, But the management from the owner ruined the experience for everyone especially my poor aunt who deserved better memories from this party.
During the power shut off, the owner agreed to an open bar, but when I came and asked for a drink the bartender denied me as she was instructed to only serve the 2 men before me. A couple minutes later, my male cousin comes to us with a drink that he was just served after I was denied. The drinks were also free, but to some guests, they were being charged $3-$6. This same worker also informed us of incorrect information, telling us if we leave the building we would not be allowed back in which was NOT the case at all. Once confronted the worker had no answer.

Now I will address the owner. The lady with white short hair and bangs named maria withheld answers, denying compensation and aggravated the party organizers with her INVASIVE communication. Her responses were extremely inappropriate as she continued to aggressively flail her arms in guests faces while invading personal space, another issue to add is how she kept touching customers even when they disliked it and asked her to stop. Since she couldn’t answer our simple questions as to what happened, her workers and sister (who was attending as a guest) stepped in to try and answer for her with no knowledge of the situation.

In the end, my aunt was robbed of a chance to make great memories of her final time in this country with her friends and family. Maria needs to learn to have empathy and stop touching people because nobody wants it.

Went here as a kid with my adopted mothers work for their staff Christmas party from Alcan Building Products across the road from Mardi Gras which is no longer there! Think we always spent the entire day there watching cartoons Santa would come with a gift for all the kids! Fond memories!

Camera and Video was supposed to arrive at 11am didn’t show up until 12.30pm delayed the whole event, which was arranged by the banquet itself. In addition they had a time limit until 3.00PM.
Food was average.
Cleanliness was an issue.
We had my daughter’s baby shower here this past Sunday. The owners and staff were professional and accommodating. The food was delicious and the service was excellent too. Guests were impressed by the pleasant scenery in the dining areas where we hosted the event.
This has been on our "outdoor family dining list" for 2 years, but due to COVID, we only managed to visit this summer. It was great outdoor cozy dinner with family. I lived my fish, my mom's lamb chop was too well done. I think their plating is good and overall value for money. The restaurant can do an overall makeover though. The view is spectacular. Love the staff there, very friendly. Will definitely come back.
This place is a hidden gem. Lived in Scarborough 20 yrs and wasn't aware. They also have a live band/ show every Friday and Saturday nights. Strongly recommend.

Amazing hall with great workers! The owner is extremely accommodating and the workers are superb, so polite and helpful! The hall is very very nicely set up and organized!
This hall management is very very very bad. They started removing the decor halfway through the event when there was still hours left. This is a huge waste of money, for people who want to host an event in the future, this is a warning. The event started at 1:30 and it was supposed to end at 3:00. Halfway through the time that they had, they already started cleaning up and putting away main decorations.

Very nice place for medium size parties
Located conveniently in Scarborough, the Scarborough Convention Centre is a great venue to host your big day. We have captured many weddings and receptions at this venue. From lighting to the height of the ceilings in the venue, you have flexibility with how you would like to decorate the space, making the photos captured even more beautiful. We love photographing events at SCC, as the staff are cooperative and kind.
Honestly the owner is very friendly and helpful. I recommend anyone here for any parties. We had a birthday party couple weeks ago, was so peace of mind. Thank you.
Had dinner here for my father in laws 75th birthday. Service was great, food was excellent and a great atmosphere with a beautiful view. The platters are an excellent choice when hosting large parties.

Absolutely horrible service and food. Would not recommend booking any of your events here. The amount of planning and time we put into organizing my sisters 21st birthday was completely ruined with their lack of organization and cleanliness. We arrived at the hall, and they hadn’t done anything we had asked for, from the decoration to the cake and even the small things like providing 21 white roses. The hall providers and workers were absent during majority of the party and even if they were there they were slow and acted as if they had no part in making sure the party went smoothly. The bar was supposed to be equipped with drinks for mix and they had failed to provide this as promised. In addition we had paid for bar bites and that was also not provided until asked for, and it wasn’t proper bites as well. The only positives we were able to take away from the event was the DJ, MC, and bartender. Of course they were great since the hall does outsource them. Otherwise the hall owners and staff associated with this hall are completely disorganized and do not deserve your service if you are considering. The owners are really great at saying yes for everything and not providing anything as asked for.
This was a great banquet hall where we hosted our Canadian Tamil Radio event. They accommodated our guests well. We did book the hall for a reasonable price too. We will definitely come again!

My parents took my kids so my partner and I could have a date night. I opted for breakfast instead as my daughter is allergic to eggs so we can never go out for breakfast…

We arrived, the buffet was on the opposite side of where is is normally (so we were told). The staff were very disorganized. They were trying and, they were all friendly. There were so many opportunities for improvement. It opens at 11, we arrived around 1115. The omelette station was not in working order until 1140 or so. When it came out there were peppers, onions, and tomatoes. No cheese, no meats.
The roast was delish, but no one was there to serve it half the time. They forgot to bring out the milk for the coffee. Plates were never cleared off the tables/ just kept re using my own. No regular bread / toast available. Later a table got a stack brought to them?
They forgot the butter (I used on French toast).
I’m not sure if I’ve ever been to a buffet where you have to top up your own coffee / at a coffee station (except maybe the free ones at a motel). Food was okay (pancakes and French toast, sausages and 3 strips of bacon, chicken, Brussels sprouts, eggs Benedict (which looked like the pan had been shaken), roast, omelet station, muffins and some pastries, 3 salads, cured salmon. Nothing was hot, maybe luke warm. I found it a tad expensive for the experience, 28.99. I’d go back to see if they were just having an off day (as someone said to us while we were there).
I went here to celebrate a birthday, and they made the occasion extra special. The atmosphere was pleasing and relaxing. The restaurant is right inside of the Bluffers Park and is on the water. As a result, if the weather allows it and you dine outside, the view is amazing. The food tastes great and the prices are affordable.

Our server was a sweetheart, and she ensured we were well taken care of and tried tirelessly to light a birthday candle despite the wind, and sing happy birthday.

Overall, the restaurant is a must visit👌🏼
We had our wedding on March 25th, 2023 and everything turned out exceptional! From the very beginning, Sen and his team communicated with us and made sure everything was to our liking. Sen gave us different options for backdrops and his assistant worked with us to choose our table theme Decors and other details. In addition, Sen made us feel at ease about catering options and connected us to a vinyl floor person who put our name on the dance floor. During the last few weeks before the wedding, Sen met with us through zoom (as we live in edmonton) to go through all the details and confirm everything was good to go. Many guests raved at how beautiful the hall looked and how grand the reception was. Thank you so much to Sen and the Scarborough convention team for a wonderful reception!
I had my son's baptism in this hall and from start to finish, this establishment goes above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable. The owner is very kind and easy to work with! The ambiance is well thought off. The hall is beautifully decorated, with tasteful lighting and elegant furnishing. Every detail is carefully done to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for any occasion.

The staff are always happy and incredibly attentive and accommodating, making sure that every guest feels valued and cared for.

The food is amazing!!! From appetizers to entrees to desserts, every dish is expertly prepared and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place!!!

Two months ago I did a last minute booking here for my engagement and I had a great experience. A friend of us recommended this place the small hall has enough space for your small parties. Pretty good. Nice location in a floating house right at the marina, the food is alright. There're not a whole lot of dining options at the Bluffers Park so if you want something fancier, you'll end up here. Sit on the patio on a sunny day or in the rustic indoor dining room when it gets colder.

Note it is not a gourmet restaurant, you do pay extra for location but it is fine for what it is.

From parking to the hall this place needs maintenance badly. Banquet hall is not maintained at all. All the lights and decorations are really backdated. It doesn't looks like a party hall at all. It was very depressing to be at this place. AC wasn't working or they reduced the flow, we were sweating badly. I would avoid this party hall.

Great event space for a birthday party (approx 120 people, seated). Lots of space for set up and dance floor. Lots of parking.

Could use a few more bathrooms for the amount of people that can fit in that venue.
We came here to have just an afternoon coffee. The view was nice and our server was polite. We didn't think much of the restaurant from first impression when we were not welcomed to have just coffee even though it was 4:30pm in between meal time. They maintain their $20 minimum charge per person. So we ordered dessert and wine instead. For the prices on the menu, I would expect a better experience than just the view. The glasses were dirty and cobwebs everywhere on the patio. I think Google should update the price point to $$$.
This banquet hall is a very great place for celebrating your special events or corporate events or get togethers. Their service is very great and ambience plus the lighting and sound sound system is very good

I had my Nikkah ( Wedding Vows) Ceremony at their newly renovated location very recently. Our guests were very pleased with the location, spacious halls, plenty of parking space and friendly staff. Jeya was very helpful and accommodated our specific requests to make our special night very memorable.
I had my wedding reception at Scarborough Convention Centre a few months ago and it was AMAZING. My husband and I were so happy with everything from the backdrop to the food made in house, and the service our guests received. We received SO MANY compliments from guests who attended saying how well organized and incredibly beautiful everything was. I have to extend a massive thank you to the team because our reception was a Covid one which meant we changed the date 4 times. The team worked with us throughout every mishap and changed date, and they made sure to deliver an unforgettable night for all of us.

We went with the Indian buffet and I honestly can't keep count of how many people said they thoroughly enjoyed dinner. We also used their services for our stage/backdrop/decor as we found it much easier to work with one vendor instead of several- and they did not disappoint! Still look at these photos in awe!

Mardi Gras Events is an absolute perfection. A complete package. Their guest services is top notch. Starting with owners, they’ll give you their 100% to met your expectations and beyond. I best recommend you fast before you come to their events. The food is out the world best, from veg to non-veg, from starters to desserts. Even the drinks. I must say the mango shake is die for, I’ll come just for that. The best in Ontario.

We had our wedding reception at Scarborough Convention Centre in June 2019, they were utterly professional and worked with us every step of the way. Sen and his team went above and beyond even helping us with decorations and providing helpful vendors at the last minute. All of our guests were well attended and the team even helped us seat some last minute additions who didn't RSVP. Everything was very professionally done and on time. Scarborough Convention Centre is amazing and a perfect choice for your next event.
Everything from decor, to entertainment to the food was absolutely PERFECTION!! And guests are still complimenting it. Great service!! The food and hospitality was the highlight of the night . Attended a birthday party. Great size for the amount of guests invited.
Appetizers and drinks were good, but I feel like the Naan in the dinner course wasn't fresh and seemed to be some store bought kind.

Also the parking seems a little bit too small - they have other spaces but one of the parking lots they tell you to go to has too many rock and debris in the area which I didn't feel safe for my tires to be parked on.

Absolute worst customer service and so unorganized. I had booked this hall for my wedding and I had asked for them to set up the hall with a white and gold theme and on the day of had put gold table cloths when I had asked for ivory and “ran out” of the white flowers they had promised would be placed on all the tables. There was pieces missing from the bridal seating setup and did not place a coffee table. They promised to serve punch, coffee and tea during my reception and did not serve anything at all. They had showed me a bridal room that I would be getting access to for an outfit change and on the day of when I needed to change put me in a closet and said the other one was occupied. But they had known there was a booking for another wedding on the same day and had not shown me the closet then. My husband was supposed to make the payment morning of for the rest of the hall but with last minute wedding errands he could not and they came in mid reception threatening to shut everything down if we didn’t pay so my mother paid the full amount so we didn’t have to leave my reception. Currently speaking to a lawyer on taking legal action if possible as no ones wedding day should have this many problems. There was a table that fell and drinks and food spilled all over my guests. Instead of giving us another one they just set it back up again and it fell .. again. And they promised us until 2am and kicked us out at 1:20am I’m just so upset with everything. Did not get the things I was promised in the package deal I paid for. I am the bride and the name under the contract was my husbands name.

I hosted a "Women For, Not Against" event at The Princess Banquet Hall and it was a fantastic experience. The space was the perfect size for this event, it was spacious and clean. The service was excellent and so were the appetizers. I would definitely host another event there as the attendees gave me good reviews too!
Decent hall that can surprisingly hold alot of people. Parking is limited and you may have to park in the over flow lot across the street. Food, bar, and decor are great but food can range depending on how much you pay. It can be really good (for a decent price) but if you chose to cheap out don't expect to get what you pay for.

I had an overall great experience with princess banquet hall for my daughters birthday. Diana was amazing to work with!! I had a vision and theme for my daughters birthday and she worked with me to create and produce a magical princess themed birthday for her.
