An amazing venue with fantastic waterfront views. Every space was beautifully set up and maintained. There were so many people to see and meet, and everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time. Staff were helpful with directions and everyone was really nice. There were several small stairs and a large spiraling staircase, so I'm not sure about wheelchair accessibility. I didn't see an elevator, but there could've been one somewhere. Parking is decent, but it was a huge event and it overflowed to the general visitor parking. Super nice location for special occasions.

Magnificent! Our daughter's ceremony and celebration on 7/7/24, was amazing! Sandro and staff were spectacular. Everything was managed perfectly, the food, beverages and service just perfect. We couldn't have asked for anything better. Further more, the planning and organization was so helpful; gave us the confidence we needed for such an important event. The venue is magical. Bride and groom had a wedding they will always remember as being so special. Every guest had a wonderful time. Thank you to everyone at Glen Island for making this day magical. We were invited to a graduation event at the club. Perfect location, with a level of service and attention to detail that I believe is unmatched in the area. The natural setting of Glen Island is extraordinary - the views from the venue enhance the experience for the guests. Highly recommended.

Magnificent multi-purpose venue on the bay at Glen Island in New Rochelle. The venue is bright, fresh and scrupulously clean offering vista views of the Long Island Sound.
The staff were polite, courteous and helpful.
The food was magnificent with ample portions for everyone, served discretely by the competent team of staff.

We had our wedding at Glen Island, and we cannot recommend it highly enough! The venue is gorgeous (we got married on a cloudy, rainy day in January and it was still breathtaking), and the amazing staff went above and beyond to give us a calm, perfectly coordinated wedding day. From the moment we first inquired about the venue, Rodney guided us through every step of the process, responding to our questions and concerns so calmly and efficiently (even when we had to make a ton of logistical changes the week of the wedding). On the wedding day, Maria, Stephanie, and Rodney were all so incredibly attentive and helpful; I didn’t have to worry about a single thing my entire wedding day because they took care of everything, from reworking the timing when I ran late to carrying our bags out to the car at the end of the night. They even did the bustle on my dress and made sure I had all the best food and desserts to take home! I cannot thank them enough for giving me the calm wedding day of my dreams!

We also had some unique cultural and religious needs as Orthodox Jews, and the whole team was very knowledgeable about and sensitive to our potential concerns. On the day of the wedding, whenever a question arose, the staff would figure out all the potential solutions to the problem, then calmly present the question to me or my family at a convenient time, meaning that I still made sure everything worked for our cultural needs without having to stress at all.

The attention to detail at Glen Island is truly exceptional. We couldn’t be happier with how our wedding turned out!

I just organized a retirement party for my job at the Davenport Mansion and I must say I am extremely pleased with everything. First and foremost the food. The Davenport has a reputation for great food and I wanted my guest to eat well. The food was amazing and there was plenty of it. The entries were delicious nobody went home hungry. The bar was also fully stocked with cold bear, wine, and top shelf liquor. The staff at the Davenport were nothing but the best. The head coordinator, Guy, was very helpful in setting the event up. He treated it with such care it was as if was his own event. The chiefs were excellent and the servers and bar tenders were top notch. The staffed did everything I asked for to ensure my colleagues and I had a great party. The Davenport Mansion itself is worth the experience for it is a beautiful facility. It a historic building with gorgeous views of the Long Island Sound. I would use the Davenport Mansion for future events and highly recommend it to anyone wishing to do a wedding or any formal engagement.

We recently had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at Glen Island Country Club, and it was nothing short of spectacular! From our beautiful outdoor ceremony to an elegant cocktail hour and reception in the Terrace club room, every moment was perfectly orchestrated.

A special shoutout to Jack, our main representative at the club. His attention to detail and organization skills were impeccable, ensuring every aspect of our big day went smoothly. He was a true professional and a joy to work with.

The food at our wedding was fantastic – both in taste and presentation. Our guests were thoroughly impressed and many commented on the high quality of the cuisine. The service was top-notch as well, with the staff going above and beyond to accommodate us and our guests.

What truly made our day memorable was the feedback from our guests, who said it was one of the best weddings they had ever attended. This speaks volumes about the exceptional experience Glen Island Country Club provides.

Beautiful location with breathtaking views. Food was top notch!!!

We were looking for a venue to host a bereavement luncheon at the last minute. We found Davenport Mansion online and thankfully they were available. We had shopped around and Davenport seemed like the best choice. It was everything we were looking for and the price was right. The ambiance and beauty of the location is bar none, even on a rainy day. It was raining all day and the view from the main room was very tranquil. We were hoping the food would be tasty and they exceeded expectation. Our guests couldn't stop raving about the food. I even considered selecting salmon instead of cod fish because cod is usually bland. The cod was delicious!!! Several people wished they had taken more. The bartender's drinks were the perfect pour. We had absolutely no complaints. Guy, the venue host, went above and beyond from start to finish to assure we had a wonderful experience and that we did. While grieving the loss of a loved one, there can be so many details that are dismissed. Guy and his team had everything covered down to the centerpieces and screen for a slideshow. I highly recommend Davenport Mansion and would definitely return for other occasions.

I photographed Kayla and Peyman's beautiful wedding this past spring here. I highly recommend it! The views are amazing and the area around it offers a variety of photo opportunities. If you're getting married here definitely take the time to walk over to the castle for some unique photos. ig @konradbrattke

Before the pandemic, I had the opportunity to attend a wedding at this venue. Unfortunately, the experience was not up to the standard one would expect. The food lacked quality; the fish I ordered was overcooked and bland, while the vegetables were undercooked. The desserts we received seemed incomplete, and we later discovered they had run out of certain ingredients. However, we saw the complete dessert being served to others who arrived after us, which was disappointing.

The service was also below par. It took multiple requests to get our coffee, initially served black, without any cream, sugar, or napkins. Even after more demands and a considerable waiting time, when the milk was finally provided, the coffee had gone cold, and we were still missing sugar, a spoon, and napkins. The indifference and lack of motivation displayed by the staff were noticeable and negatively impacted our experience.

The venue's location offers a view of the Long Island Sounds, which is pleasant but relatively ordinary, featuring a vast expanse of water and a few scattered islands. The scenic views might not be as breathtaking as at some beach clubs, particularly during sunset hours. The alternate panoramic view of Glen Island Park is lovely. Still, it requires a considerable walk to find suitable spots for taking photos, which could be challenging for those with mobility issues.

Externally, the venue has a charming appearance, but the interior lacks the sophistication and style expected from such a place.

On a positive note, the reception staff and bartenders were friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, the same could not be said for the remainder of the team, who were less engaging and, at times, inappropriate in their comments. Based on my experience, I would advise looking for other options when planning an event.

My friend does event planning and I helped her out for the day. I fell in love with this super cute venue.The backdrop is beautiful and a perfect setting for any event. The Candie Cart did a beautiful job with the bee themed baby shower.

Everything was EXCELLENT! The cocktail hour was delicious as was the main meal. Those were the best mashed potatoes I ever had. You have the best help. They spotted a Senior that needed a hand and they hopped to it. All servers were quick, efficient and had happy faces. Also, the decor and table settings were gorgeous. Thank you for making our Holiday Party so memorable!
