It's such an incredible place. The architecture is gorgeous. Haven't been here in many years, but I'm always in awe. Brought my granddaughters to enjoy it. Girls' weekend was extra special, adding this stop.
Wonderful beautiful ° White dove of the desert" Such a treasure this reconstructed Catholic church is a joy to visit and spectacular to travel back in time ! Such a wonderful time to visit and enjoy the beauty!
Excellent example of early Spanish mission architecture. The intricate details of this historic church are fascinating. The blend of Spanish and Native American artistry is truly unique. It is very hot here so bring water and shade is also limited. There is a nice little gift shop there.
A very old mission. With a very old church. But it's definitely worth seeing. The history of this place is amazing. Take time to see this part of Tuscon that you wouldn't expect to see. If you're Catholic or not. It's still a beauty in the desert.
The sense of history, beautiful art, working church...just kind of hits you when you enter. So beautiful. Food vendors out by parking lot. Restrooms. Wheelchair accessible and a gift shop. Free entry however, they do have donation drops a few places.
This is one of the most beautiful missions I have ever visited. The interior is just as stunning as the exterior. This mission is built on Tohono Oodham land. At the time of its initial construction, it was part of New Spain. It dates back to 1675, which makes it one of the oldest churches in Arizona.
Great mission and piece of history/architecture. Gift shop in the mission was nice along with the shops across the mission. With just the pictures alone, my mom loved it and now wants to visit.

Just a reminder to people, this is an active mission/church. So you might not be able to see the inside if there is a service or event going on. Please be respectful.
This mission is an amazing site! Built in the late 1700’s, a pretty great piece of history for the Southwest! The carvings and frescoes are spectacular! You only need about an hour. Nice little gift shop around the corner, and great Mexican made burritos and fry bread options (we split a fry bread w powdered sugar for $4, other food ranging up to $10)
Nice church with lots of colonial art. This place is just minutes away from the airport, so it's worth visiting if you happen to be flying to or out of Tucson
It’s a beautiful Church in Tucson. There’s a lot of history and it’s worth the drive to go see this Church. It’s a historic Spanish Catholic mission that was finished in 1797. It doesn’t take too long to walk through.
There’s also a nice gift shop that you can visit on the way out.
I am so glad I came to visit. Incredibly beautiful church and well maintained, rich with so much history. Love the Moorish touches. The outside garden is also lovely and the gift shop was great. Incredible architecture and details. Burrito was also nice and filling.
This place is worth the short drive 15 minute drive south of Tucson. The main hall is very impressive. We were able to sign the guest book and even lighted a candle. I brough5 my mother in her wheelchair and there were several areas on the grounds that were wheelchair accessible.
When in Tucson, this is a must. The details inside the church are absolutely beautiful. They have a gift center where you can buy different size bottles for holy water, and outside the church, they have food vendors selling fried bread and other food. On the side of the church, they have a hill that you can walk around. It's short and sweet.
Here are a couple of photos of when my little family and I went. They are friendly, lovely gift shop, and delicious fry bread sold outside. Support locally run business. It's free but they do ask for donations so make sure you take some cash.
We stopped hereon our cross country drive. It was absolutely beautiful and the people we so kind! There are locals making fresh food on the ground and the architecture is breathtaking! Highly recommended stop.
Beautiful! We were not able to go inside due to a service that was being held. However, we heard the music and enjoyed it. The gift shop has some nice items and fair prices. The locals set up and made delicious fry bread.
