In town for a dog show. Great place to take my show dogs for some play time. It was clean and quiet.
This is a great place for my pooches to get their zoomies out ! Bring water and a poop bag, but other than that, it was nice securely fenced in ! Fun was had by all !
My dog could run around the place, but it is a little too small.
Can be muddy but very convenient if you're central Albany.
This dog park was just redone and I'm finding bits of glass
Nice people visit this park with their dogs. Very enjoyable.

So.eplace to swim, someplace to walk and someplace to run and play. Not too crowded, was good as first time at a park for my dog.
Could be larger with more seating and play amenities for dogs
Opal had a great time. She's a lab, and there were two pits and a bull mastiff. The mastiff was a male and did get a little tardy, but nothing that made us uncomfortable. The owners were very quick to discipline the dog, and everyone went back to playing.

The park is small and mostly dirt. There is running water, so you can wash your dog as I saw folks doing on the outside or just get water.

There was little league toddler tennis just up the park walkway. The parking is limited.
I came by today. The park gate isn't secured. Next to it seems gardening!
Need work done. Surrounding has wide land. It could be good place for neighborhood to bring dogs for socializing. Definitely needs attention for government
It's the only option nearby, so we're glad to have found it. Clean of poop. Dusty, as there is nearly no grass. I can imagine it's only a good option in dry days. No water or community toys. No dogs on sunday afternoon. Paid parking Monday thru Friday. Good size for big and small dogs.
It is not very large, but quaint. The nice fence is quite tall, so it is good for large dogs too. It is uneven terrain, so the dogs get good exercise. It is located within a small park, and one can see from the off-leash dog park that there are stores about a block away. There is metered parking nearby. I have not been there in several years. There were poop bag stations, but I do not recall water available there, unsure. It would be better if they enlarged it.

Peaceful and calm trail for walk with/without your dog. Sounds of the river clean your mind.

In watching dogs attacking other dogs at this dog park, I have come to understand that a dog park is a vector of disease and injury.

Because of the dog attacks at this dog park, I no longer recommend public dog parks.

Some people now rent out their fenced in yards or land to those who need this service. I think this is a much better option.
The park isn't anything fancy, but it is clean, has water, is fully fenced, and has dog bags.

Many dogs. Some owners are in cliques.

Others have dogs that are out of control.

I used to be a fan of dog parks. I no longer recommend public dog parks.

With the increase of dog attacks, I have come to understand that a dog park is a vector of disease and injury.

When you do not have control over which dogs show up, your safety and your dog's safety are at risk.
Such a cool place only ten minutes from downtown Albany! A short trail from parking lot along the creek to follow for a cool view or swimming for dogs (or humans). Halfway through is a large fenced in dog park, little shade structure with picnic table and open grassy and woodshed area. Next to a community garden. Would love to come back again next time in the area. My dog had a blast :)
Pretty small park but nice shade. Unfortunately it is on a hill and large grate fence could allow balls to roll out onto busy rode and no grass or woodchips so pretty much bald dirt. Nice to have an option for dogs downtown.

Great dog park with water nice fences in area and seating gazebo
This is one of the closest dog parks to our house and we go when we can to socialize our dog. The people are always nice who frequent it and it’s usually pretty clean. The only issue we have is that it’s pretty small and large or high energy dogs can’t really run very far before having to turn around, but it’s so cute and the neighborhood garden next door is so cute in spring and summer! We do tend to take our high energy dog to larger parks so he can run longer distances, but we come back here for the nice people and ambiance!
I love the secure gating and the benches for the dog owners. Only things that could improve is just some general cleanup of old items/toys and keeping the poop baggies filled. Otherwise, great space!
Always an awesome experience! All the regulars have such well behaved socialized dogs. Absolutely the best park with a scenic trail worth the hike! 🐾
I come here occasionally with my daushaunds, and everytime I do, the experience is pleasant. The other dog owners there are always friendly, the dogs are well behaved personality wise, and the park is also clean. There is a gazebo and several benches that owners / visitors can occupy. There are also bowls of water placed throughout the area for dogs, occasional dog toys sprinkled about and there are small pools of water for dogs to play / cool down in.

This was my 1st time visiting this park with my 4 month fur baby (BUZZ) and I wasn't sure on how he would be meeting other dogs. To my surprise this dog park was alsome, its clean fresh water and doggy bags. I will definitely return!! And buzz was very good with meeting other dogs.

Lots of well behaved dogs that play well with other dogs. Gazebo and a few picnic tables for seating. Shaded and open areas.
Come enjoy a caged dog park next to the Normanskill river. You need to bring water for your dog and your own toys. It is a great place for dog training in the fenced area past the main parking area. Drive all the way back past the building to the garden and dog park. You can also practice going off leash on a nice hike up the hill and around a short loop. If it is dark or winter you can even hike all the way to the golf course.
The dog park was great huge area for the dog to run around in, there was no poop bags so make sure to bring some.Watch out because other people didn't clean up after there dogs. Finding it was impossible and Google suggested driving my car into the river to get there. But if you turn down the road right before the self storage it takes you right down to it. Will definitely go again for the hiking trails .
Diamond enjoys coming here and seeing other dogs...and smelling... everything. Lol

Wish something could be done about the easy flooding & mud pits. I mean my dog loves it, but my car doesn’t. Gets very icy in the winter months because of the lack of drainage.

BRING BOOTS IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE OF RAIN OR SNOW, YOU WILL NEED THEM!
Nice little dog park close to dog-friendly dining restaurants. It is actually open everyday, dawn to dusk.
There are plenty of dogs there, most people don't mind the leash or lack of, as long as your dog is friendly, of course. The trail goes along the creek, and into a little woodsy area with shade. Bug spray is obvious, they weren't bad when I went a week ago. Water is good for swimming just find the little paths to the water created by dogs and people walking. You can enter by the vet office near the bridge on Delaware Ave, and go park there before the sign for the dog park. The dog park is a bit down. Some drive down. A good time for dog and person.
