Nice open space for dogs to run free. A couple of smaller gated off areas too. No parking. Just pull over to side of road in front of main gates. Bring doggy bags.
Poorly maintained by park dept. Grass is so high it obscures metal sculptures. Dogs can get hurt. Avoid.
Great place to let your pup unwind
Beautiful. Cleanliness
Total park for doggies, off leash

It's pretty small for a dog run, but the worst thing about it is it's all concrete instead of grass. They should remove the concrete and have grass there instead.

Great spot for dogs, mainly because the pet owners that frequent the park are people who are responsible with friendly dogs. Occasionally you'll have douchebags with aggressive dogs but this isn't always the case. The only issue with this place honestly, is that the ground is primarily dirt as opposed to grass or mulch, so expect your dog to get a little dirty or muddy (after it rains. There is a hose available to quickly wash the excess dirt off them) There are bowls available for water, just make sure you rinse them out. Overall a great place with great people and pets.
Unfortunately poorly maintained yard with a disheveled fence. Definitely some visible broken glass, etc making it questionably unsafe for pups to run around. 😕
the dog park is very good. it is big , clean and the big dogs are separated from the little ones.

This place is decently maintained. The car lot is farther away than expected.
Large, clean area for dogs to frolic! Surprisingly quiet for being near the subway. There's a water fountain but didn't see if there were bowls. No designated parking but people seemed to just park on the side of the road. Friendly dog owners and dogs when we were there. There was a second area that was also gated. Another reviewer noted mosquitoes - YES, even on a dry, summy day we were swarmed, so bring bug repellent for the humans. Fun first time!

It's the heart of this neighborhood. Nicely maintained by volunteers from the neighborhood. Occasionally there are some people there who make a mess or do not follow the rules - but in general it's a very respectful, pleasant, cheerful, neighborhood dog park - where most people know one another and control their dogs to be respectful of others.

Mostly good but unfortunately a few bad owners with poorly behaved dogs make this a risky place to bring your dog.

Some bad owners will bring their poorly-socialized, borderline aggressive dogs here and won't watch them nor discipline them. There have been multiple dog fights/attacks here.

Your dog may have an amazing time and make some friends, or it may get attacked.

If you bring your dog here, come when it's not as busy with only a handful of dogs and watch closely for your pup's safety.
I like the field I front of the dog park better. The dog park is gravel and my pup doesn't like it too much

Only meet one bad dog here .... and that lady lives out of her car and her large corgi is unleashed walking all the streets around. He dog picked a fight with my dog and that's when i realized who that dog was with and that they were both homeless and that's when my dog and i left. We dont want no part of that wildness unruly dog and it's owner. We left immediately!!!

Small and all dirt. It is nicely shaded though.
Haven't been happy with the mix of dogs. I go to Rockaway dog run off beach 86 and have never had trouble .. at K9 I frequently run into judgmental and stand offish owners . I much prefer to hike with my pooch through the kettle pond trails.

Small dogs & big dogs are separated. Waterfronts don't work at the entrance of the dug run.

Little dogs beware!! Went there with my dog and there was beer glass pieces all over the floor in the little dog area. Meanwhile the space is huge for big dogs (which i get they need space but the small dog area could have been bigger too) and they get a tire swing and a ramp, while the little dogs just have a small area with dirt and glass! No thank you, I’m not bringing my dog here again. Completely unsafe and boring for little dogs.
I like this dog park. Requires street parking and usually I find a spot. Haven't had any issues with other dogs or owners.
There are plenty of benches and a little obstacle course.
This park is park of Forest Park so when you're dine with the dog park you can venture out on the trails through the park itself.
The ground is a combination of grass and dirt. If it rains it can get a little muddy.
Must walk up stairs to reach the park.
Must bring water for your dog as there is no water source.
Recommend this little dog park.
Took my dog here for the first time this weekend and she had a great time! The gates can be a bit tricky at first but otherwise a really nice space for a dog to run around.
I’ve been coming here for about 1.5 years. We’ve had a blast most of the time in spite of the aggressive big dog behavior and inattentive owners who seem to not care when their dogs start harassing and dominating other dogs and people. I’m all for letting dogs sort that out but if you are paying attention you know when it’s gone too far and it’s time to intervene.

I will not be coming back due the last time I was there being nipped at by a Pit bull (1yr ish old pup) who became fixated on me and would not stop coming toward me. I had to beg the owner to “please
Come get your Dog”. The owner was on his phone and ignored my previous attempts to get his attention. His dog was fixated on me and wouldn’t stop. Ripped my sweatshirt when he nipped at my wrist It was pretty freaky.

Too bad because my dog loves it there.
Holes everywhere (including the fence). Reported it but still not fixed. I’ve noticed more aggressive dogs come in the evenings. No water fountains so bring your own water!

Plenty of room for my big dog to run around. Pleased to find some grass and not just dirt. Be aware there is a small burial space, so don’t let your dog dig there (or you might end up with something unpleasant).

After moving from Oceanside area to Forest Hills, I realize turf is better than dirt. Watering areas get extremely muddy and the toys/tennis balls get gross. However, it's a decent size and my dog still loves it. Walk your dog around before letting them in your car because they will tread dirt.
Clean and my puppy loves it! Fun and friendly place for humans and doggies

Great areas to bring your dogs. Large dog park for dogs over 30lbs and small dog park for dogs under 30lbs. Clean space. My dog loves it there.
The large dog park has some draining issues, it often has a large puddle in the center. So, the big dogs move into the small dog park.
Good space for any sized dogs to roam free. I come all the way from Jackson heights since Jackson heights has no Dog parks. My pup loves to chase the planes as they land and take off from Laguardia airport. There's also lots of free green space in the area near the dog park where you can walk or run your dog 🐕 on leash.
This is the dogs' favorite place to run and play. I wish there were more grass, and benches for people to sit ...Then it would be perfect.

There are good points to this run, but unfortunately, there is also bad ones. This coming from my perspective - had dogs all my life, majored in animal science, and work in the animal world.

The good: It’s a good sized space for the dogs to use and for their owners to still be near and keep an eye on the action.
The fences are in good condition and the side near the street is covered.
I have met some good owners and pups here.

The bad: This run may have once been a grassy field, well those days are gone. Hard dirt ground which makes the area very dusty, and your dog will need a bath afterward. Dogs with asthma - stay clear. Can’t forget the mud when water is involved.
No separation in size, large and small stay together. This is challenging as even if they are friendly and just playing (as many like to say) smaller dogs can still be injured while running or colliding with bigger animals.
No water source so bring your own. A community bowl is there, but it’s advisable to always have your own bowls to prevent communicable diseases anyways.

And unfortunately as with possibly most dog runs, this is also frequented by dogs that are not very well socialized and can at times be paired with owners who do not see issues with their behaviors or worse may not understand it’s importance.

Great for small to medium size dogs early in the day. Gets crowded later. Water readily available and friendly people to chat with. No obstacles.
Nice but no division of small or large dogs and no place for water
I happened to bump into this park by accident, and I can't think of any better accident to have. @Cheweries absolutely loved the park because she got to run around without being judged.
I used to give this park 5 stars for its location and cleanliness. Understandably, it hasn't been taken care during quarantined and now it's borderline abandoned. Weeds growing, the liner under the messy sand/gravel is slowly exposing itself. Due to all this change, the park isn't frequented as much but should be maintained just to keep the bare minimum of requirements for adevent park. I go once in a while but after today, I'll stick to Sherry Dog Park for a while.
It is fun for dogs and owners to socialize. Kept clean 90% . However, there are a few dog owners that are irresponsible with aggressive pups.
Had a great time with my dog and spent a quality time with other pitbulls.
Always a good time for our Blake. With the warmer weather the run has a good amount of dogs. Sections for aggressive dogs separate from the main run, I never have to worry that he's in danger. There's also an agility area sectioned off. Great people and wonderful atmosphere. Really a great place to let him get out that extra energy! Highly recommend this place.

This place is great. We got there early before the after work rush and got to work on some jumps on the ability course. When the crowds arrived they were friendly and the pups all had fun running ground together. Could be a bit cleaner... people can be so lazy, leaving everyone else to deal with it 🙄
Great lil dog park. They need to fill the large hole in the back that fills up with muddy water after rain. Bring plenty of towels for cleanup.
Nice dog park with two separated areas (one larger). Very popular park, common to see upwards of 10 dogs or more on weekends. Awesome views next to the water, under the bridge. I like that theres a water fountain for humans and dogs located inside the park.

Friendly people and the dogs have been mostly well behaved when I go , but it’s cause people usually get distracted on theirs phones lol , it’s cute , can get busy but it’s a cute thing to do on the nice days and good for the pets
