Busy park but met a lot of dog friends and nice owners.

Great shade and parking is plentiful. Best place to eat lunch in peace for out of town workers with hour lunches or 30 min lunch surrounded by two 15 minute breaks equals 1 hour lunch (;

A small, uneventful dog park if you just drive by when it’s empty. But when there are dogs at play it’s a joyful, fun little spot. I have typically had great experiences there, but others have not. The main thing is open communication. If you see canine or human behavior that is disruptive, just tell them politely and firmly. I have met wonderful people there. It’s a spot where road trippers sometimes stop on their way through NC to give their dogs a chance to run around. I have enjoyed my interactions with travelers and locals.

Okay dog park, but can be muddy when it’s been raining. Very quiet at 8 am on a Saturday. Only 1 other dog around but my guys had fun running around with him.

Homestead park is great especially with the addition of a new turf. The dog park is average sized. Lots of other things to do next to the park.

Shady, part grass, part dirt fenced in area with plenty of seating. Big bonuses are running water, kiddie pools and sprayer for those really hot days, poo mitts, and donated balls and toys. It's just not big enough!

Place is great for letting the pooch release some energy. I’d recommend bringing a towel to clean them off though, a little too muddy most of the time, Daisy doesn’t care though!
