Top Picnic grounds in Conneaut, United States

Well kept park, but not a well kept town. A lot of vacant and run down buildings unfortunately. The park maintenance guy was extremely unfriendly about us having our service dog with us. We stopped so our 8 week old could feed and our pup could stretch his legs. Not worth pulling off the highway. First time in Ohio, and next time we’re driving through we’ll stop somewhere else.

Windy day—but sun was shining. And as an added bonus we saw a bald eagle!

Visited the park when the solar eclipse was happening. It was such a beautiful location to sit on the shore, viewing the majestic view of Lake Erie before the event. It also had tons of walk paths to stroll around and benches to just sit under the trees. Very clean and relaxing!

On a very windy and somewhat cold day, I drove from Erie to check out this park. It was late in the day, so I had limited time. But I was very impressed! I loved the "dual level parking." By that, I mean that you can park in an upper lot that offers a great perspective of the beach and the lake. Or, you can park on the lower level and have easy access to the lake at beach level. Add to that the nice boardwalks on the beach for accessibility and you have a real jewel of a park to go and enjoy Lake Erie! I will definitely come back here again!! It's a beautiful park! This is a really nice local park.
We were driving through and decided to stop after breakfast to see the lake (didn't step in, though).
Pretty views, especially of the lighthouse, and good exercise with the stairs down and back up.

We spent two days here. It was beautiful. Parking was easy; boardwalks made it easy for us to carry cooler, chair, etc. down to beach. Beach was raked & clean when we arrived in the morning. We loved it there, will be back!!
