One of the four receptionists that greet you with a smile will guide you in the right direction. The administrator to the social worker and all the ones in between are very professional and caring. The nursing staff and aids are both professional, caring, understanding and will try their hardest to make your stay as comfortable as possible.A shout-out to my wound nurse, Maggie. Her and all the other nurses that saved my leg. Last, but not lease, the entire physical therapy group.You put me through things that I thought were impossible, and with your persistence of not allowing me to give up. I thank all of you so very much!

My elderly father was not able to care for himself and relied on staff to do their jobs. Before I would leave I always left fresh water or something for him to drink on his bedside table near him. The same beverage would still be out, sometimes on his bedside tray that was no longer near him. He was not being repositioned and developed a large open pressure sore. His meal tray would be taken before he had a chance to eat unless family was there to ask to leave it. He was not cleaned up his first week there and after a few weeks his teeth looked horrible. Other people who were there for a simple short rehab stay may voice better care experiences and enjoyed the activities or getting their hair done. However, if any family member has someone who requires a high level of care, this is not the place to go. Not to mention staff moral appears low, nurses complaining about the aides and vice versa. Smoke breaks don’t appear to be an issue. There is a clear lack of communication between physical therapy and nursing, which if done, may prevent Medicare Advantage plans from prematurely kicking patients to the curb. From first hand experience, poor reviews of this facility by patients and family members, should not be taken lightly.

I was in Avenues of Medina in Medina for rehab for about a month. I was amazed at the care they give their patients. I listened and watched how they went into rooms of the elderly and bedridden and were cheery and compassionate to them. They took time to feed them. I could not get my cast wet and they made a way to cover my cast and help me take a shower. Now let me tell you …. It was not just the aides or nurses, these people are worker bees, I had the Director of Nursing pitch in and shower me ! I had the Director of Housekeeping wash my hair quite a few times. I had aides making sure I did or did not need a shower that day. They have a cute little Elvis restaurant, great food if you and your family want to eat there ! NOT expensive at all. I was in rehab and they worked with me every day except Sunday’s, great physical therapists. The food is really pretty good too !

I was a caregiver for my awesome parents for 12 years. I would know good care. My parents lived in Parma Heights and I took care of them both until they passed into Heaven. They went to rehab in a nursing facility in Parma, I know a bad nursing home and a good nursing home, I was there all the time for that month of rehab, I could not trust them.

Avenues of Medina in Medina is a safe and caring facility. I highly recommend it for your loved ones. Employers and employees love their job and definitely their patients …. They get attached to them.

As the Executive Director of The Echelon of Medina I can truly say I have full confidence in the care provided at The Avenue. Many of our members have been or currently are receiving therapy services with their team and we couldn't ask for a better experience for them. I absolutely love their social worker- she is truly on top of everything ALL the time. Bonus is they have a fabulous Medical Director :)

BEST FOOD EVER! Kitchen knock it out of the park EVERY meal. Nurses, aides, housekeeping, dietary staff are all wonderful to talk to. Managers and staff truly care about their residents and the care they provide. Would recommend to any loved ones.

This nursing home has been very heart warming dealing with my father. He was not always easy to deal with. However, the staff were very respectful and always went out of their way to accommodate him and our family. Before my farther decline the facility told us about Serenity Hospice. They both worked together to ensure my father's last days were pleasant and comfortable. Thank you to all of the staff from housekeeping, cooks and nursing. You all did a wonderful job.

Had a great experience when my uncle came to stay. The facility itself is beautiful and feels like a little community. The staff is phenomenal! The activities director, Sara, was so helpful and kind and caring and understanding and patient. Monica and Jamie were absolutely amazing as well. They listened to our families needs and concerns and treated my uncle like he was their own. If I ever find myself in need of care or rehabilitation I genuinely hope my family chooses The Avenue at Medina.
