This was such a nice stop. Bathrooms were very clean. We enjoyed walking the path that went under the bridge. Beautiful and peaceful spot despite the traffic on the interstate.
Beautiful rest stop just outside of Glenwood Springs. My husband and I stopped here to stretch our legs and enjoy the scenery. It was gorgeous and we got beautiful photos together
I know I often say that a place is my favorite… but O M Gggg! This place is heaven on earth. Those places you feel like you only see in movies is here. My smile was from ear to ear to see so much beauty in one place. It’s mesmerizing and I personally did not want to leave. Don’t take my word just go and explore for yourself but don’t blame me if you never want to leave.

This rest area has extremely nice views. It is worth the stop, if you have to go to the bathroom. The picnic tables are well placed to enjoy the view. The bathrooms look like something from prison surplus. The have a nice grassy area for dogs plus poop bags.

Very Quant place to stop and use the facilities. They keep this rest so clean as I'm sure they can, and the grounds are beautifully kept up and is a great place to stop and go for a hike. Berry pretty for a rest area!
Most beautiful rest area I have ever seen. Next to river, which you can walk down to. Nice walking paths as well. Bathrooms were clean.
Five-star rest stop. The Grizzly Creek intersects with the Colorado River here and it is stunning.

Located directly under i-70, it was still a pleasant evening. Nothing to complain about especially since this overnight stop was free.
Grizzly Creek Rest Area is a popular stopping point located on Interstate Highway 70 in Colorado, USA. It's situated in Glenwood Canyon, a picturesque area known for its scenic beauty and recreational opportunities.

The rest area is a great place for travelers to take a break, stretch their legs, and enjoy the natural surroundings. It offers amenities such as restrooms, picnic tables, and scenic viewpoints, making it an ideal spot for picnics and relaxation. The Grizzly Creek runs nearby, providing a calming atmosphere with the sound of flowing water.

What sets the Grizzly Creek Rest Area apart is the access it provides to hiking trails and outdoor activities.
We almost just drove right past this 5 star gem!! We had to go to the bathroom so we took this exit and discovered so much more! Access to the Colorado River, nice bathrooms and beautiful scenery to enjoy and take a break from your drive. Loved it so much!
The Grizzly Creek Rest Area on I-70 not only offered not a nice restroom break but a fantastic view of the area and panels describing the history of the I-70 Glenwood Canyon project.

Added to that was the beauty of the mountains, terrain, and a walking bridge showing the extreme power of a tributary flowing into the Colorado River.

It also seemed to be a popular place for exploring among hikers and bikers.

This was definitely one of my favorite stops.

Beautiful Rest stop "No Name" offers a beautiful view of the hillside, as well as an excellent place to walk your dog. There is a paved pathway down near the water, so visitors can enjoy a relaxing stroll! Although I didn't see any wildlife, there is evidence of beavers. You can hear the birds, signifying warmer weather is almost here!

If you are in a semi, odds are that you will not find a spot here. There's enough space for two tractors with trailers to line up on the side of the road as you enter. It is not easy to get in and out of.

This was our first stop in Colorado, and we watched the sunrise over the mountains. It was breathtaking. We were able walk down by the river and let our fur baby run for a bit. I saw birds I've never seen before and while it was freezing cold, it was also exhilarating!

Great place to stop along I-70 for a rest or walk. Beautiful spot along the river. Great for walking hiking family fishing. Good for rest as well. Plenty of parking. Plus it's called "No Name" so that's pretty cool!

Come on, it's a rest area! This rest stop at No Name, Just east of Glenwood Springs is super clean and actually open! It's a nice place to take a rest and stretch the legs while on a mountain drive, plenty of parking for pretty much any vehicle, a grassy area for pets, and the view is spectacular! Also, there's a hidden cantina at the very end of the campground for a quick bite while enjoying the canyon!
This hike is intense, but so worth the effort. The hike up is full of rock steps, narrow walkways, and seven bridges. No dogs allowed so those who like to take their furry kids along won't be able to on this one. The views all along the path are breathtaking, it's like Narnia mixed with bridge to tarabitha smashed into a pretty little package. The top of the hike doesn't disappoint with a waterfall you can walk behind and friendly little chipmunks, please no matter how much little Theodore begs don't feed him. If you are deathly afraid of heights, stick close to the walls of the cliff you have to climb up to get to the lake. If you love hikes this is a must do!

Beautiful landscape, lovely building nestled right off the highway. You can see wildlife roaming the area and a green background of the mountains. Restrooms are clean and well stocked
This lake is absolutely beautiful! The hike is difficult in areas. But so worth it.
Awesome trail, definitely worth the hike to the top. Nice clean facilities at the parking lot area with plenty of warning signs about needing proper shoes and plenty of water!
The hike was a lot longer than we expected and it gets pretty extreme near the top, definitely more than we bargained for. We saw plenty of children and a few older folks but it wasn't exactly a fun time for them; it was a workout. It took us over an hour to summit going at a leisurely pace, but the view was well worth the climb.

In the future the hike may require a day pass to enter in order to cut down on visitors, and it's definitely needed. There was a line for the parking lot with a half hour wait and we were constantly picking up plastic bottles other people had thrown down.

The journey was definitely worth it though. At the top is a breathtaking waterfall with a crystal clear, blue lake with a fantastic view. The climb is well shaded (after a point) and follows a gorgeous stream with multiple small waterfalls every few feet. Near the top is a narrow, rock staircase that was by far the most treacherous part, but a handrail made it much easier.

Would definitely recommend to anyone, but please, clean up after yourself, leave the kids at home, and leave nothing but footprints.

P.S. No dogs allowed
Very steep hike but amazing when you finally make it to the top
The hike to Hanging Lake is challenging, but well worth the time and effort. Parking is limited, so expect to wait for a space on the weekend.
Hanging lake is truly stunning! However parking is difficult so expect to wait to park as there aren't too many spots and lots of people. The hike is about 2 miles uphill but isn't too strenuous so it's still possible with little hiking experience. I recommend hiking a little past hanging lake and going behind the waterfall!
The hike to Hanging lake starts at the cdot rest stop along interstate 70. The rest stop has some nice restrooms and a good paved trail along the river. Those wanting a more challenging hike can take the well marked turn up to hanging lake. The trail is not paved, and is quite rocky and steep all the way to the lake. The last hundred yards are the steepest as you come out of the trees and on to the edge of a medium-sized cliff, at this point there is a hand rail and large bolder steps. Then you arrive at the small lake, filled with super clear water and a several nice waterfalls. Partly surrounded by a nice boardwalk and benches. It took me about 45 minutes to reach the lake, and a bit less to get back down. The trail is busy but worth the hike. If you are East bound on the 70, and take this exit, and wish to continue East after you stop, you'll need to get back on the 70 heading west, take the next exit and then get back on going East. Have fun, don't litter, and use the bathroom before heading up the trail!
