Interview was good, but the recruiter lowballed me - to the point where it was not a feasible job opportunity when I factored in transportation needs to Tysons. Government consulting firms have been terrible at valuing my past experience, so I have had to leave it for now. I need a refund for all that money I spent on ubers to and from the interview please! Stephanie Gibney of Accounting 4 DC LLC was absolutely superb. We experienced a death in the family in March of this year. One of the many outstanding things that needed to be completed was a particularly complex tax return. Despite the lateness in reaching out to Ms. Gibney in the middle of a busy tax season, she graciously took on our situation. She even filed an extension for us to preclude any IRS penalty fees for what would be a late filing. The portal used to upload tax documents is super easy to use, she communicated directly with us to let us know what was completed and that she received the necessary documents. To top it off...Ms. Gibney DID get the taxes done and filed well before the tax deadline for this year's filing...simply amazing! She took what was a major stressor for us and made it go away. AND for an incredibly reasonable fee...we will continue to engage her for all our family tax filings...she is that good! Strongly recommend Ms. Gibney and Accounting 4 DC LLC for your tax and accounting needs.

WARNING! DO NOT USE FIDELIS CPA

If I could give Fidelis zero stars, I would. This man is incompetent and should not be allowed anywhere near your finances. I hired him for basic tax services and working with him was nothing short of a disaster, resulting in hours of wasted time and piles of penalties and fees.

To begin, his first attempt at preparing my tax forms was incorrect. Luckily, I reviewed the filing he sent me and was able to catch the error, saving myself thousands of dollars in potential erroneous payments.

The next major issue occured during tax filing. I provided Fidelis with the required forms and payment information to file and payvmy federal and state taxes. The issue? He never submitted my payment. When I contacted him for information as to why the payment had not been taken from my account, he assured me several times that there was no issue. It was only after contacting the IRS and state tax office on my own that I was able to uncover his error and the resulting penalties and fees he caused. When approached with the issue, he became hostile and unwilling to help. He claimed the payment must have been a "glitch" in his system, but would not provide any documentation to support that claim.

This man is at best incompetent and at worst a fraud. Do not trust him with anything.

A well recognized account firm in DC, conveniently located. I came for a professional association event hosted/partnered by KPMG. The lobby is an open floor with beautiful lighting and marble. Friendly security desk. The conference rooms are located right by the lobby, on the ground floor, so it's easy to access as a guest without getting lost in a building where signaled would otherwise be needed. Great space for the small to medium size event I attended.
