What an amazing dining experience. When I accidentally put the reservation in for the wrong day, they were super accommodating. The hostess sat us right away, and the server was outstanding. His recommendations really made the meal special.

Wonderful experiencing dining out at Forest! Our server, Vince, was fun and knowledgeable and able to make meals that didn’t fully exist for us. The food was amazing! The salmon was perfectly cooked and the truffle pasta was to die for. The atmosphere was very upscale and chill, and they played great music. Will definitely dine here again!

I had the pleasure of dining at Forest in Birmingham, Michigan, for a dinner date with my husband, and it was a truly elegant and memorable experience. The restaurant exuded an air of sophistication.

The food was nothing short of amazing, and the service matched the high quality of the cuisine. I had the salmon, which was delicious and left a lasting impression. My husband opted for the New York strip, and he thoroughly enjoyed it.

Overall, our evening at Forest was simply amazing, combining excellent food and top-notch service. It's a place that offers a remarkable dining experience, perfect for a special night out.
Only one word describes this place. Wow! We ordered the savory quiche and crepes and they were amazing ! Claude and Estelle were so welcoming.
Next time we are in Michigan we will eat here every day. It’s nice to see the owner take so much pride in her food. Thank you French Lady for the best breakfast ever!
We had our wedding shower there and they made a custom menu for our private event. Claude & Alexander were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They made our day feel very special. Both are incredible chefs and the cake they made us was amazing. I can’t say enough about our experience. I highly recommend this place.

Went for my wife’s birthday dinner. Beautiful restaurant. Small menu. Great pasta and drinks. She ordered the only steak a NY strip, very fatty and not worth the 65$ I think it cost. They should have a better different cut for that price. I have veal which was great. Elegant restaurant and great service. Seems like a regular spot for Birmingham elite.
Very quiet and cozy cafe tucked in Birmingham. You notice extreme friendliness of the owner and the staff as soon as you step through the door. Cozily decorated and furnished, the tables will remind you of those nice, soft home dinners with family at the table.

Now food.
For the appetizer we had Vichyvoisse soup - delicate potatoes, leeks, and cream pureed soup, a heavenly cloud in a cup, served cold.

I ordered cheese and ham crepe and my wife ordered goat cheese and mushroom quiche. Both came with the salad. The crepe was generously stuffed and cheese and ham, with some melted cheese on top. The flavors are perfectly balanced, a definition of a savory crepe. Quiche was so light and puffy, almost souffle-like, one tender bite melts in your mouth.

For deserts we ordered chocolate mousse and blueberry vanilla tart. If you thought about the perfect ending to any meal, this was it. The perfect pairing for that was freshly grinded coffee with French sugar on the side.

Can't recommend that place enough! Absolute gem of a place with a true French cuisine that's extremely hard to come by in Metro Detroit!

Bon appétit!
Viva la France!
We stopped in yesterday, excited to try this place! Such an intimate atmosphere; my attention was immediately drawn to the Camac. I love that they included it as part of the restaurant!
Now on the the menu - simple yet SO complex with something for everyone.
We ordered the carrot bisque and the sun-dried tomato quiche. They were worth the wait - you can taste the LOVE and PASSION they put into the food! The ingredients are so fresh and wonderfully combined.
This is definitely a "sit back and relax, enjoy the atmosphere" restaurant. I can't wait to go back!
Okay, I haven’t been so ecstatic for a while now! This place has been my discovery of the year! We found it by accident on Google and I fell for the reviews and the menu.I’m so happy we got here! We got carrot bisque, it was incredible. Silky soft, smooth, rich and creamy. It felt like this dish was making love to my mouth! We also got quiche with mushrooms and goat cheese. It comes with the light salad, tomatoes and balsamic a sauce (I think..). The quiche beyond satisfying. The crust is there, fresh and light, quiche mouse has a rich creamy, and cheese flavour, it’s lighter than air and melts in your mouth right alway. Bomb! And we closed it with beef bourguignon. Braised beef in wine sauce was very soft, glistening, and juicy, comes with rice and a some vegetable (forgot it’s name). On desert we got chocolate mousse and crème caramel, delicious! What can I say, this place is exceptional! They use only fresh produce bought only at farmers markets, they cook fresh daily from scratch. I believe they also change a menu every day. Claude and young women that helps her are so nice and lovely. It was simply a pleasure be there and chat with them! A few customers came in and Claude welcomed them personally. Some reviews were saying the food is pricey, but since it’s fresh food they use and Birmingham, that’s totally makes sense.
Overall it felt more than just a lunch, it was a great experience meeting someone who loves what they’re doing, and getting a gastronomic satisfaction.
I will most definitely come back here again.
Such a cute place! Claude is the chef and owner who mostly runs the whole place herself! She is a very cute, kind lady. We went here for lunch and got a savory crepe and quiche. The menu changes daily since Claude makes everything from scratch also based on seasonal ingredients. The food was amazing - the quiche was so fluffy and soft, perhaps even better than the quiches I’ve had in Paris! The crepe was similar to the authentic crepes I’ve had in france before as well. I appreciate that the portions are filling but won’t leave you uncomfortably full. Go here if you’re looking for authentic French cuisine - very cute ambience as well :)

Delicious food and great atmosphere, I'll definitely return.

The farm egg is everyone's favorite, and yes it's very good.

They lost one star by adding bacon to their bolognese which was only good after the first bite, then it became offensive.

The pasta special with shaved truffles looked nothing like the dozens of photos on Yelp and Google.

The baked Alaska was an item I got to go but it's not traditional.
Soft meringue that wasn't frozen and unusual center.

For the most part it was enjoyable.

My experience at Forest trail is very nice. The ambience was relaxing and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The quality of my meal was great and beautiful to look at and full of flavors. Do you believe the pricing to be quite high might be due to location and service received as I've been to very similar restaurants I have not paid as much for the amount of food served.

I would definitely return in the future.
OK so this was a new adventure for me and my godson. We are trying new culture of food. This was a new flavor. My godson was not the biggest fan but I thought it was OK. The carrots were amazing and the beef was tender. The sauce was different. It's a up and coming restaurant
Very small and cozy. I liked it.
What an amazing restaurant and a truly authentic French dining experience.

Before I talk about the food my wife and I enjoyed I feel I must give my hats off to the honor and chef for a phenomenal job.

She informed us ahead of time that due to some staffing issues she was there by herself.

Please understand that servicing a nearly full restaurant full of patrons by yourself when you are cooking everything from scratch is no small feat.

On to the food. My wife and I decided to split a mushroom and goat cheese quiche and salad as an appetizer. This was the most delicate, rich, and delightful quiche I've ever had.

Our appetizer was followed by a cod dish and an oven baked chicken dish. Both were prepared to perfection and very well seasoned. The food presentation was incredible as we both expected.

This was our first time here, as my wife decided to take me here for my birthday dinner.

This is a restaurant that you must experience multiple times, as to me you changes often. Please do yourself a favor and try this restaurant if you are in the market for authentic French cuisine.

If I didn't mention this before, the chef and owner is actually from France. Please visit, you won't be disappointed.

I've been to Forest a few times before but not in years so I was excited to go back. It did not disappoint. From the relaxing patio environment to the service to the food, everything was practically perfect. Seared scallop appetizer was a generous portion and perfectly cooked. The Wagyy tomahawk was the real star. It's one of the best steaks I've had in the area and came with a choice of two sides. Drinks and coconut sorbet were tasty too!

Food was top notch as usual and service was in point. We had the carrot salad and the farm egg to start, wow they were really very delicious. Had the trout and agnolotti with squash which were both very tasty. Just felt a bit rushed at the end, felt as though they wanted to turn the table, or would be 5 stars.
