Long lasting bistro in busy Wyndham St. I came just for a snack - frog legs tapas - and a Chardonnay. Great people watching though local car traffic is horrific.

Everything is perfect from the beginning to the end. Ambience , grand with a touch of art nouveau, harbour view. Food, not the most creative french restaurant, thank god, just extremely well prepared food that tastes amazing, loved the wine pairing as well . Service, top notch, every little detail is taken care of. Lunch menu is so reasonably priced for a Michelin 3 stars restaurant. Bravo!

Was disappointed with the overall experience and would not recommend given this price. Went for the tasting menu with wine pairing. The wines selections sucks big time. Not sure if the normal wines are like this or they giving us cheap wines and charged michelin 3 stars price. Worst wines ever! Ive never left so much wines ever! Basically just one sip and we cant bring ourselves to take second sip. And the male waiter’s English proficiency needs major improvement! I can barely understand him. I seriously dont expect these standard - be in svs or wines for michelin 3 stars to be this bad. For the price, i can get better food and svs and wines at even normal restaurant. Never again!

Cordon bleu was okay, I expected it to be the flat smashed kind instead of the rolled up one. But the beef tartare was immaculate but I do feel as tho they used to have an option to give different grams of beef, now it seems they have taken the option away and they don’t show how much grams of beef they put in it. Interesting. The first time I came here I could’ve sworn there was more beef, however this time it looks a lot smaller, the price is 208HKD, they also need to update their menu on their website. I was very keen on trying out the onion soup since I saw it on their menu on their website and soon found that it was not on the menu at the actual venue… a bit disappointing

Other than that, really nice ambiance, interesting people that this place attracts. Securing a seat by the entrance is always nice for people watching and having people chat you up, lovely stuff especially when hungover :)

Food was great. Frog legs was awesome. However I felt I was inconveniencing the staff. Perhaps I was the only one person customer that they had so they'd rather put efforts to others. They are friendly and all once I get their attention, but I felt like the staff wouldn't miss me if i never showed up.

Disappointing experience.

Upon arrival, I was informed by the staff that I had not booked the afternoon tea set, despite having made a reservation in advance online. This initial confusion was already disconcerting, as I had been looking forward to experiencing your highly anticipated tea set offering.

After some further discussion, the staff then informed me that they had attempted to reach me by phone but were unsuccessful. While I understand the importance of confirming reservations, it is disheartening to learn that this miscommunication resulted in me being denied the opportunity to enjoy the complete tea set experience.

What was even more disappointing was the response I received from the manager. Instead of offering a solution or attempting to rectify the situation, the manager dismissively stated that I would not be able to receive the present that comes with the crossover tea set. Furthermore, the suggestion to book at one of your other branches if I was dissatisfied with the options presented was both unprofessional and unsatisfactory.

As a customer, I believe that clear communication, attentiveness, and flexibility are vital components of exceptional service. It is unfortunate that my experience today did not reflect these qualities. I had been eagerly looking forward to indulging in your special afternoon tea set, and the way this situation was handled left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer.

With the exception of the steak, which was very grisly, the food was not bad. Simple French bistro grub. My only callout is that the steak was not very tender and of poor quality.

It was our first visit to the Michelin 3 Star Caprice. Great atmosphere and staff were excellent and attentive. The signature crab dish and the yellow wine mint oil on the langoustine dish were just another level. It was overall a fantastic fine dining experience during our short stay in HK!

Nice place for lunch in sunny Central.
Onion soup was authentic and the red snapper fillet is nicely cooked, which was surprising.
Good CP ratio esp for lunch set.
But the road outside is rather busy in the day and something noise.
Overall an enjoyable lunch.

Excellent for the iconic dish such as photo 2, for the lunch set you have to spend more money around 400 HDK for that but for other dishes, it is just fine. However the service quality is quite good and professional.

100% Honest Review Here! If you're looking for an exquisite fine dining experience in Hong Kong, look no further than Petrus at Island Shangri-la. The views of Victoria Harbour are amazing, and the attention to detail in every aspect of the restaurant is truly impressive.

What really sets Petrus apart is the service. The staff are attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, and they go above and beyond to ensure that your dining experience is nothing short of exceptional. From recommending wine pairings to offering personalized menu suggestions based on your preferences, the staff truly make you feel like a VIP. (Kudos to Eugene who served us lol)

Overall, Petrus at Island Shangri-la is a restaurant that is worth every dollar. The attention to detail, professionalism, and exceptional food and service make it one of the best fine dining experiences inHong Kong. I was truly impressed by my experience and will definitely be back for more.

The service was absolutely remarkable. The staff went above and beyond to make sure that my experience was enjoyable from start to finish. They also made great wine recommendations, which added to the overall experience.

As for the food, it was exquisite. The presentation was also impressive, it was clear that a lot of attention to detail went into each dish.

Ok, it’s a 3 Michelin star place in Hong Kong, at the four seasons. If you want the luxury experience this is it. For the price we paid I was close to give it a 4 star if it was not for the steak, service (assistance manager was awesome) and the cheese platter. Not exactly my normal thing but worth a try once if you want to spend over 3 to 4 k per head. Beautiful views

The environment is so nice and cozy. The cake set comes with a piece of cake and a drink. I tried the lemon tart and my honey had the yuzu cheesecake.

The lemon tart is so crispy! With very lemony flavor and well balance of sweetness and sourness. The yuzu cheese cake is kinda creamy, not overly sweetened and refreshing.

The rose latte is creamy, with nice hint of rose flavor and the coffee is mild.

The apple tea is light and smooth, even it is unsweetened but goes pretty well with the cakes. We had a good time .

Absolutely great. The food is not the most innovative, but quality is excellent. The fish is very tender and the best I had in a while. The service is also matching for the Michelin 3 stars. The cheese plate has a huge variety, and the servers are also very knowledgeable.

The French yellow chicken is good. One is slow cooked chicken breast and another is pan-fried chicken. What you need to expect is slow restaurant service.

Fine dining is always about the experience as much as the food. Dome-shaped ceiling, crystal chandeliers, elegant drapery - the fabulous dinning room is like an art piece, but it also comes with the unobstructed view across the harbour 🏙️

Despite the traditional and classic vibes that Petrus has, their food, however, shows a certain modernity. Went there for lunch on a weekend, food quality was average (probably because it’s lunch set?)🙈 But given the vibes and unbeatable service, it was an enjoyable dining experience afterall 😙🤩

💌 Was slightly disappointed by the Boston lobster in terms of its texture, it was not as soft and tender as we expected, may be overcooked a bit 🥲 Meanwhile, we are all surprised by the lychee desserts, rich layers of textures and flavours explode in your month, was a delighting finish of the meal! 🫶🏼

There's something about traditional fine dining that makes me feel out of this world. Whether it be the perfect table setting, the widely spaced tables or top notch service, it carries a whiff nostalgia of what fine dining is and should be.

Tableware, cutlery, glasses were gorgeous and perfect. Especially the tableware...

Nowadays for the same price point and hype from the newer fine dines, you could be sitting at a table lined with parchment with no place but the napkin to hide your legs and eating out of industrialized tableware. Anything nice and the staff would alert you that it was especially sourced by the restaurant... errrrrr.. what's become casual chic is really just a lowering of standards in a way. But anyway, it's nice to refresh yourself by coming to restaurants such as this and enjoying the ambiance and service.

We ordered off the a la carte instead of having 2 sets of the tasting menu. We took all of the starters (beef tartare, cep, prawn and slow cooked egg) and opted for a lobster with corn, black garlic and coconut sauce, as well as the river trout with potatoes, sweet jam and yellow wine sauce.
You can see from the photos that the two mains looked similar, something for the restaurant to think about.

We ordered separately 4 glasses of their wine from the museum collection, but the waiter selected both our white and red from their "Unlocking the Cellar" series (they were the same price). I think next time we would ask for more full bodied red although their recommendations were nice.

All of the dishes were delicious and I cannot recommend any over the other. I was surprised by this. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ deserves a few of these.

We ordered the Fig dessert and cheese platter for the dessert. My view here is not to order the chese as it was after all only a cheese platter and not so eventful and you may as well order another dessert and see what they have in store for you then. The brilliant Savarin cheese was notable and we went out to look for more after lunch.

Great experience, would definitely do
this again, I miss these restaurants ❤️.

Surprisingly impressive! Maybe due to too much competitions so It’s very easy to book with compare to other fine dinning restaurants. So it’s very quiet with high level of privacy and not to mention attentive services too! Food is amazing, surprisingly pleasantly impressive! Better than one of the very famous Michelin star restaurant!

Beautiful environment, very attentive service, and the food is of course both lovely to see and to taste. WE opted for the 6 course tasting menu and ordered a bottle of a la carte wine. The food presented on each plate was a piece of art work, almost too pretty to eat. The sweetbread was surprisingly delicious and the veal was perfectly tender and juicy. The dessert was absolutely outstanding...I only wish the portions were bigger and I could get a few more bites !
