Great finding in Toulouse, serving local specialties like the famed cassoulet. The ambiance is classic chic and service attentive. They have a good wine list with focus on the local appellations. The quality of the food is the main attraction here though.

Went here because of some good reviews. It was busy but we got a table at noon on a Wednesday. The salad and the dessert were fine but the main course was very skimpy on the protein and over zealous in the carbs with potatoes and pasta and either it was cabbage or artichokes and everything covered in a very heavy weird flavour of a rich cream sauce. Couldn’t even tell what was under it. I don’t recommend it as representative of good French country cuisine or any kind of French cuisine!!

This place is not recommended! Let me explain why. We went out for dinner here but were left very unsatisfied… There is this waiter/runner here, a slim tattood guy with mustache, who is simply arrogant and cold as ice. There is no hospitality or smile on his face to be found… I understand that hospitality can be stressful, but come on, it is your job to be helpful. If you can’t handle it; at least try.

About the food. We received our chicken tenders which were as cold as that waiter’s attitude, so we sent them back. You know, these things can happen. But what annoyed us was that we mentioned it to that waiter, and without even saying a word (or apology), he grabbed it from our table and took off. Then when we received the chicken tenders for the second time, and he handed them over to us stretching his hand over another person’s table. What the heck? Unbelievable! I apologized to the other guests for this, and they were also surprised by his behavior. Later, it happened again with a bottle of water. Just.. seriously, where is the hospitality from this guy?
After receiving the chicken tenders again, which were clearly just reheated because we spotted the pieces where we took a bite from, they tasted okay.

I ordered the salmon fillet, which actually was great. I did enjoy it. However, my girlfriend ordered the burger and found that the meat was too raw from the inside and too well cooked from the outside. We didn’t bother sending it back again.

It also took ages before we were given the bill to pay… I signed to that waiter a couple times and I know he noticed it because he nodded to me every time. But then he proceeded in doing something completely different. I understand the pressure and I don’t mind waiting a bit, but this was just absurdly long.

I must say that all other waiters were very nice and helpful.

So, please go here if you would like a disgraceful experience with that particular waiter. Otherwise, I would avoid this place.

Funnily enough, the bill was €66,6. So, maybe this place is cursed by the devil. I’m kidding, but seriously, get it together.

Came here for a Cassoulet and that's precisely what I got. Took some time (25min) but it was worth every minute. Great staff, great mood, great service and even better food.

We received half of our order within 30 minutes of ordering and the remaining food after a further 45 minutes, wait time between drinks orders was 30/40 minutes.I would not recommend dining with a group larger than 4 people as I believe the staff would be unable to cater for anything larger than this.

Very nice atmosphere, enlightened by a violin player. The food is good and well cooked. Service fast. We enjoyed it.

The cassoulet is said to be the best in Toulouse (hence also in the world). We visited and tried Menu Emile, all dishes are great. Definitely worth a try!

A true hidden jem! This restaurant doesn't look impressive from the street, but opens into a large courtyard that is beautifully appointed for dining. The lamb was delicious. Good selection of drinks. Great service!

Excellent restaurant, recommended to me by a local, and didn’t regret the recommendation for a second. Located in the popular St Georges area, the restaurant boasts among other great dishes a superb cassoulet confit canard and a delicious soufflé Grand Marnier, as well as an impressive wine list.

This is a nice restaurant where you can experience the traditional french cuisine. They have a small selection of entrees, main dishes and desserts, but the ones I've tried are very nice.
A nice touch is that in addition to the regular menu, there's a version of it available in English so that it is easier to order when you don't speak French.
The service was good an efficient and I didn't have to wait log for my dish to arrive.
Regarding the price I think it is on the cheaper side, but that without sacrificing quality.
I do recommend this place id you're interested in traditional French cuisine and you don't want to shell out.

I had an unforgettable meal at Monsieur Georges. The restaurant is beautifully situated with a lovely outdoor seating area. People were dancing next to us. The service was impeccable, and the food was extraordinary. The tapas were very good. The deserts were highlights of our meal. A must-visit! We highly recommend !!!!

Potatoes were very undercooked. Some of them were almost inedible. Portion sizes very small. We ordered a bottle of wine from the menu but were later told it was sold out and offered a different bottle which we were told was very similar, which it absolutely wasn't. In fact it was very poor. Overall a bad experience.

Great neighborhood restaurant. Our waitress was adorable and efficient. Thé steak was perfectly cooked and thé fries are good, thé gnocchi with parmesan and a creamy truffle sauce was very tasty. The lovely garden is very pleasant in summer.

We had coctails and beers at the bar inside due to being cold outiside, and no heaters were insight. Shame because the view was good. But is nto a problem, the atmosphere inside was also 5 stars.

I had a margarita, which I asked if it was frozen, but I was told it wasn't but that they could do it. It was not a frozen margarita. It was just ice crushed into slightly smaller pieces, but it is not the same at all. Would be preferable if they were straight away being told of that so I would order something else. Also, the fact that each round we ordered we had to be paying instead of paying at the end once was also less prectical.

Make sure to call and reserve beforehand, or else you will likely not be seated! The food is great for the price! Got the three course meal for €21. Loved everything except I probably wouldn’t get the steak again. Very burnt and bitter to the point of leaving my teeth looking like I had chewed on charcoal ^^; Service was very good and efficient, and dessert was amazing.

Food was not very good and highly priced. Have eaten at many fantastic restaurants around Toulouse and this was a major disappointment

The marinated anchovies were great. Duck comfit was good. The steak with cheese sauce were also good. Mont blanc with chestnut was good but the sauce is too sweet. The service was good. In general the restaurant is good but offered great value.

You have to reserve your table in advance especially on weekends and holidays.
We ordered smoked salmon and duck liver for starters. Both were great and better than expected. We ordered duck breast and grilled cod fish for our main dishes. Both of them were good. For dessert we ordered warm chocolate cake and orange sorbet which was very good. The service was great and fast. The atmosphere was cozy and nice. I recommend it to anyone's who wants to try French food.

We needed respite from the rain and stopped into Cafe Maurice for a drink. However, when we saw the menu we needed to try some items. Everything was great but definitely try the sausage in brioche with red wine sauce. Friendly service too.

Tagsüber Restaurant und abends mit Abstand der beste Club für ü25. Die Preise sind okay, aber die Bedienung an den Tischen bringt nur Flaschen und so und für normale Getränke und Cocktails muss man an der Bar teilweise 30min anstehen. Ansonsten super Musik.

Recommended by our hotel (Pullman). We wandered down here. Got a seat easily at midday on a Monday. Took the option of 3 course special.

Amazing nice french café and restaurant, very tasty food, my favorite Les Jamelles wines and cheese plate. Possibility of lunch menu or a la carte, Entrecote, Toulousian sausage or burger etc... The athmosphere is nice during the day as well as in the evening. The staff is super friendly, i guess the owners are working there as well and you can see the passion of doing their job with love.

Having stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, we were pleasantly satisfied. we tried some typical dishes such as cassoulette and duck. generous portions. Wine always delicious everywhere in this city and here too. friendly and helpful service.

We had a 2 day layover in Toulouse, on a Sunday + Monday. Not much open so we decided to walk over to this place.
Glad we did! Cute little spot, delicious food! Foie Gras, Duck, homemade fries, steak. All delish! Nice wines, and nice friendly service. I would definitely go back there again! Nice atmosphere also

Kinda slow service but great rooftop and cocktails. Go at sunset for the best vibes 🫶🏼 around 10-15 euros per cocktail.

They served us the driest shrimps I’ve eaten in years, we couldn’t finish them. Calamari and octopus from can most likely tasting of old fish. Pretty good wine and trout. Service was nice.
We’ve eaten way better for this price.

We booked a table as it was busy the night before. Staff was very friendly and helpful with our little French. We got first drinks (4) for free. Food was good. Delicious. Home cooked. We had duck ,beef steak and some starters. Wine was good. Good value for money.

The atmosphere is lovely and the food selection is nice. I guess that the staff was quite young and needed a bit more training before attending to such a huge crowd. I do love that they reinvent themselves every summer but still keep their character.

It’s a really good place to have a dinner in Toulouse. The staff is really nice and friendly (I went there with my two dogs and they were really nice). The staff is able to attend you in France, English and Spanish. Do not think more about it and head up there!

I had an amazing time at this restaurant / bar! The spacious terrace was perfect for a relaxing coffee break. The friendly service and delicious coffee with milk made my visit unforgettable. It's a must-visit spot, especially during summer 🌞

Great meal with a view. Went for lunch while the sun was shining. Refreshing cocktails, great thai shrimp entrée followed by fish and an avocado dessert (would highly recommend). Attentive service. The iinterior definitely gives an old Vegas vibe. Would recommend if you're visiting the area!

A really nice restaurant in Place St George. The service was very friendly and helpful. I had Tartare of Salmon which was great and my parents both had Mama George pizzas which were really excellent. Place St George is an excellent place to find a restaurant and Monsieur George is one of the best!

Horrible service staff, were rude to all of us. As they snapped at us when we asked for help with ordering. When we needed their attention some just took ages to notice that we had to keep ordering from the payment counter. No wonder the restaurant was empty despite being dinner time on a weekend.
We wanted to order more but seeing how disregarded we were we ordered light food and drinks and left in a haste. Prices for food were pricey and felt worse when service did not make up for the money spent to dine. Fries were serve cold. Usually a customer easy to please but the time here was not pleasant at all especially visiting as tourist.

We really enjoyed our time in the restaurant. The cassoulet was just superb as well as all the other courses...however, the chocolate desert with bloody orange sorbet was on top of that...simply wow...On the other hand, service could be better - more professional...

We went here for dinner on our last night in Toulouse and were not disappointed.

The food, service and location were all excellent.

It is on the 6th floor of the department store. They only serve dinner inside in the evening but we took our drinks outside onto the terrace to admire the view while they prepared our food.

The waitress then came to find us when our meal was ready.

They were very attentive and helpful. I had the pork cajun style and my wife had sea bass. Both excellent.

They also do a fixed price lunch. Or you can just go for drinks on the terrace.

Highly recommended.

The place is great! I think it's misjudged by Google reviews. It's a spacious and green with very nice and friendly stuff, from the hostess to the waiters. Drinks and food were served quite fast. Tapas menu is good, not exceptional, but good. I definitely recommend it!

Visited this evening for my boyfriends birthday, the food was amazing, the staff were so lovely, and the environment is really pretty! We are rubbish at speaking French but they were super patient and accommodating and even brought out a little cake with a candle. It was a lovely evening, thank you guys!!

Oh and I’d just like to add that it was the first place I’ve visited this week that I didn’t feel stared at constantly by everyone around me, which was very nice as an autistic girl that struggles with that kind of thing 😂

Work dinner with the local team. This place was chosen by a colleague who lives here and it did not disappoint. The food was awesome. We ordered a bunch of appetizers (oysters, salt cured salmon, calamari, shrimp,etc) and everything was really really good. I ordered pizza which was also very good and my team also loved the food.

Will be sure to make it back when I visit next.

Simple restaurant with a very friendly waiter. Scores highly on the price/performance scale. 19 Euro (at time of writing) for a three course meal. Can't argue with that. The food overall was very nice if a little rough around the edges (only let down was the steak, which was as tough as leather). Almost a home made feel, which is no bad thing. The Flan Normand with garlic cream sauce was delicious!

Nice atmosphere, however the octopus was disappointing.

Great variety of cocktails but a little high on the pricing😀and although I was initially served a non vegetarian dish instead of my vegetarian, they happily replaced it and we had a great time! Well, what to say: a beautiful place in the Ile du Ramier in Toulouse, in the middle of trees and nature there are tables, it is so very well kept, so much choice of food amd the atmosphere is great. Even when it's hot the temperature and the island just make it fresher. A bit of a weird path to get there bit it's worth it. I can't wait for it to reopen (only open during the summer season) to go again. Definitely suggested!

Went here on this beautiful sunny day. The weather was colder then expected. The place is located on the rooftop of the is shopping mall, was asked for my covid-19 pass before entering.. was informed where everything was by the staff. We choose to sit outside to enjoy the view.. the outside seating is good, especially for the view. The view provided a great over look of Toulouse.The services was good and efficient.. had a drink and coffee then paid the bill. The prices are reasonable and fair no complaints,will return.

We go to the Carthel at least once per week. We love the food, drinks & overall atmosphere.

The restaurant is moderately busy most nights & the food is always super delicious.

I recommend the Carthel to small & large groups.

Finally, the restaurant is situated directly beside the tram & bus routes so you can easily access from anywhere in Toulouse.

This place is super judgemental! I was invited here for an event of my good friend so I checked the website (which is basically just meant to see the ambiance) and arrived there simply dressed. Since it was a hot day who wouldn't. But I was not allowed to enter the 'OPEN BAR' because I didn't put on a shirt and trousers. (I had a sleeveless along with jogging pants). What is the point of an outdoor bar if you must suit up in the summer. Useless and disgraceful! The people at the door are super rude and do not understand what a client is! (Judging a person by his clothes)

After make a reservation by telephone, we arrived there and at the door they told us is a dressing code :/ you must wear a Shirt or nice T-shirt. Its frustrating after 35 minutes driving from where we were..

Lovely place with a nice outdoor full of plants. The staff is nice and offers some free homemade chips with our beers. The prices are not cheap but the food is good. And nice musical taste! Totally recommend. Wheelchair access available.

Very cool place in an area that will develop very soon. Food is above average for region and so are prices.

Went there this Sunday morning.
People were rude.
We sat next to a stand where they waitors were coming to bin the leftovers without closing the lid of the bin. I was literally sitting and eating on a stand next to it.
Also the menu had a price of individual pastries such as croissant but they forced us to do the whole menu.
Impolite waitors and not respectful.
Nice place but the disrespect ruins the whole ambience.
