Top Surf schools in San Clemente, United States

This hotel is top tier. It’s close to everything we wanted to do, the rooms are beautiful and the staff is so helpful! We stayed in the California patio room and it has a large comfortable bed, awesome street view and a large bathroom. The room was clean and stocked with things we would need. The staff was helpful with early check in and responds to questions quickly. We will absolutely be back!

My son found us Nomads for a quick family trip to one of our favorite beach communities, San Clemente. I'm honestly not accustomed to staying at non-national branded hotels, so I was initially hesitant. The process was unique and the communication was very thorough, and when we arrived we were greeted by the owner himself!!! That was a first!!

The rooms are charming and spacious. My two older boys shared a room. And my youngest son and his buddy stayed with me and my wife. There were three beds in the Bali room.

We were able to walk easily everywhere in town. The hotel is connected to one of the better bars/restaurants in town, so that was super convenient.

Thank you for the hospitality!! We will be back.

Halfway thru a stay here and loving it so far! Excellent location, right on the Main Street with a short walk to the pier and lots of shopping/food options nearby. The design of the rooms is beautifully unique but they’re quite comfortable and spacious. The owner’s artwork is featured throughout and really adds to the surf vibe of the hotel — I even plan on booking a surf session tomorrow. A real hidden gem!

Wonderful location. Great communication, making check in easy. The San Clementine Patio Suite was perfect for our family! Kids enjoyed sleeping in the built in bunks and having access to Apple TV. Great boutique hotel.

Amazing spot in San Clemente!! Have stayed here a bunch of times before and my wife and I keep coming back. Awesome location just a street over from the main strip of Del Mar St. where the wife spends the mornings shopping. Hotel room is great, beds are super comfy and the sheets are nice and soft. Rad cantina above it as well to get a bite to eat. They also offer surf lessons through their Surf Camp if you’re trying to get out in the water. Hit them up and give it a try next time you book a stay here. 100% recommend!

Really loved this place. Room was very clean, bed very comfy, near where we wanted to be -about a mile from the pier. Loved the decor-felt like we were in a beach house. Bathroom big and shower huge. Will note - the rooms are below the bar-you can hear some noise from it. Just expect that. But quiet otherwise. Didn’t get to go to ‘Surf Camp’ but maybe next time.

This is our first time here as a couple and my husband is quite pleased. We reserved the Bali room that is very inviting and colorful. Nice comfy beds with sound machine in between beds. The high stool/chair table and double sinks in the vanity room were a plus. Will be eating at the cantina with outside seating. Can’t wait to tell my friends with grandchildren about the surfing camp and other activities that this hidden gem offers.

We absolutely loved our experience at Nomads Hotel in San Clemente. I've been coming to the restaurant for years (and love their shrimp bowls), but I am beyond glad we finally stayed at the hotel. It had European/Surfer vibe (if that's a thing). The service was impeccable and so easy to use their online service. We will definitely be coming back and this time doing their surf camp. Thanks again for a great stay!
