Hi i been trying to enroll for LPN but the telephone number does not work
I passed my course and state board (NCCT) but I’ve been applying at jobs for 3 going on 4 years. I have great work history, drug free background clean I’m literally a great employee I’ve never been turned down for a job until I tried applying as a phlebotomist. it’s very odd and I feel like my money time and education was all for nothing. I am still paying to renew my license and completing required continuing education hours it all feels like for nothing.
Good University with a solid CS program.
The healthcare institute is a terrible place and offers subpar services for aspiring nurses. I attended the school January 2023 and was dismissed May 2023. I did not score well for a certain course and brought my grade below satisfactory. Despite other students have been given opportunities to remain enrolled after failing a course without needing to appeal, I was not afforded the same opportunity. The school would not have known I was unsatisfactory if I had not emailed them regarding my grades. This lack of attention to detail on their part underscores their indifferent attitude toward students. During my appeal I explained what clinicals was (going to a facility and creating a care plan for a patient) and that the assignment that was given was a not apart of clinical grading. Tiffanee Merritt, the part-time “Director” of the school, responded that the assignment fell under the same course as the clinicals, and thus was subject to the same grading standards. This raises the question of why the school would intentionally give a failing grade for an assignment that was not meant to be part of the clinical component. I argued that the only assignments created specifically for clinicals, such as the care plans, professional conduct in clinical setting, and participation during clinicals, should be entered under that component. I was not given the opportunity to ask why this grade was not entered under other components of the course, such as exams, participation, or other assignments. Katrina Robinson response was “You cannot write my curriculum” and I fully understand and was not trying to write the curriculum I was merely stating that she was not practicing what she preached. This school is designed to make students feel inferior while charging an exorbitant tuition fee. I have never felt disrespected by anyone before I entered this school. The school is very unorganized and expects you to be ready for an exam that was taught the day before. Being at this school I have witnessed yelling from the professors, disrespect, uncertainty, poor interaction, belittling, and more. Our class started with eleven and after dismissing me has left the cohort with two students within 5 months. Doesn’t this tell you something isn’t right about this school? If the school adheres to the policy and handbook then why were students in the cohort above me allowed a third chance to take the HESI exit exam out of pocket when the school policy stipulates two chances? The school picks and chooses who to bend the rules for. I should have listened when I was warned that this school was solely interested in making money and wouldn't care about the students in the end. If you choose to attend this school despite reading this, I wish you good luck. It is crucial to be mindful of the reputation of educational institutions and their owners. As a result, attending such an institution is not advisable for those who seek knowledge and growth. It is essential to find a better school with a trustworthy reputation and one that prioritizes the needs of its students rather than solely focusing on making a profit. Choosing an institution that aligns with one's values and goals is vital in ensuring a positive and fruitful learning experience. It's only a matter of time before they dismiss you as well.
I called to inquire about the LPN on Monday 4/17/2023. Let’s just say I had to cut the conversation short. The young lady who answered the phone was VERY rude. I didn’t even finish my conversation. I just had to say “ok thank you” smh.
On January 13,2020 my instructor caught an attitude with me for asking a question..She state’s that she wasn’t going to answer my question and she didn’t have too.. She was doing all this while yelling, screaming and using violent hand movements toward me.. I then ask her to finish the conversation outside the classroom.. And nothing got resolved.. It actually got worst my instructor told me that she will no longer give us information that we need to pass the course.. I was told she would no longer teach lecture, give study guides or give information that we need to pass state exam. I didn’t like her response and voice my concern about her new method of teaching. I was them told to write an report and they would investigate and let me know how they could help me. I explain what happen again and told them to watch the cameras if they needed validation. This is because they are cameras in the classrooms. January 15,2020 I had a meeting with Mrs.Eunice. During the meeting I was told to go back to class and act as if nothing happen and not to ask any questions.. I did that... After lunch, I was told to leave the classroom and to bring my things.. I was then told THEY WERE PUTTING OUT THE PROGRAM.. I then ask why and Mrs.Eunice reply with because of your behavior.. I then ask did they view the cameras before making there decision.. I was told no.. Do not go to this school!! They prey on the young ladies that wants to become a nurse. The total price for the program is 17,987.00. My monthly fee was 1000.00. They promise you loans that you will not be able to receive.. They will also trick the student into signing a computerized loan by clicking a mouse. Please don’t waste your time or money..
Thank you for giving my daughter a great experience she loves her job and is excited about going through the LPN course. Awesome
I really want to join this university in coming fall, actually I am from Afghanistan 🇦🇫 and I am studying in India now!
Hopefully I got the chance to have study there in CBU.
I attended THI in March of 2016. I was apart of the first CNA night class. I am proud to say it was a great experience. I loved the staff and my classmates, it was very helpful and fun. Honestly I am not a school person. But, this was the best experience I have encountered. I am proud to say that I received my CNA license and presently I'm a proud associate of Methodist healthcare. I appreciated the opportunity to better myself in a fast paced program that changed my life. I draw more income than ever and I am at a job that I love, not a job but a career. I recommend THI to anyone who is seeking an upgrade within themselves. This is the place for you!!!!!
The food in the main cafeteria was terrible. I liked the benefits but that's it, they have small dorms that share a bathroom.
Smh going through the advanced course was cool but They are just unorganized when it comes to scheduling for the state board test. This is supposed to be a quicker way to get the information you need to go ahead and get your certification. You have to constantly call them to ask about test dates! They will not call you at all! My class had to "graduate" (not really a graduation) with classes that went through the course before us and even those classes hadn't been scheduled for the board test yet. My last day was May 4 and I have not been scheduled for the board test! Everything I learned has been forgotten Abe the receptionist told me "that's why you should study"..NO! Its going on 2 months! That's why y'all need to do better with getting students a damn test date. First time I tried to get a date the computer "died" and when she logged in the spots were already full. I tried to be understanding because she said it's only 10 spots so I told the receptionist to just schedule me for the next test date which will be June 28th but she told me she got "locked out" and the next test date is August 25th! Now I'm pissed off cause I paid what I had to out my pocket and they just treating this like they give free courses or some! No. You have to pay to apply, pay them to hold your seat, pay them more money before going to clinical. Like, they really should have a state board test date for students on their last day of class ! Because if they keep doing things like they are now people will never get scheduled and they will have more low star reviews!
100% one the best choices I’ve ever made in life was to attend CBU for undergrad & grad school. These incredible professors believed in me when no one else did, including myself. Now, I desire to become a professor like the ones who’ve so lovingly and wisely imparted their knowledge and good attributes to me. Recommend strongly to anyone considering this university.
GRADUATED FROM CBU IN 1969. BECAME A CORPORATE SALES TRAINER FOR TOP COMPANIES LIKE WRIGLEY GUM, HERSHEY CHOCOLATE . IM NOW RETIRED AND THANK ALL THE PROFESSORS THAT WERE MY TEACHERS...
Pricey. Not worth taking out student loans for. Overall not a good investment for African Americans and 1st generation college students. Your achievement gap will be wide due to you being an expensive quota just to get you there. If you have student loans on your financial aid package, run because its not a good ROI.
My son starts in August . both times we visited staff and students were amusingly friendly and helpful.
I am a current student and I dislike this school for many reasons. Campus is far too small, feels just like high school, majority of students are stuck up, arts department might as well be nonexistent... just to name a few.
