Short but pleasant hike around two lakes. Nice wildlife observation point. Easy hiking, trail maintained at a fair level...could be better.
This place is a hidden gem! There’s so much to see, in a relatively small area. Absorb views of ponds, forest, wetlands, all teeming with abundant wildlife: beavers, porcupines, ospreys, turtles.
I enjoyed a beautiful Fall day on the Ayer conservation trail. It has rained recently and the trail was muddy. However, the section I walked was easy.
Long trails of quiet wildlife. Some climbing but mostly walking up and down small hills. Highly recommend for a nice hike or nature walk. Spent 2 hours there my first time.
