Removed some trees and limbs, but still a bit over grown in some spots. This is a muddy trail and worth a hike. Now recently cut back back a beautiful trail to experience nature and admire the Tennessee River.
We are a family of five. Our kids are 14, 9 and 8. We are a very active family and this trail was perfect for us, it was challenging, but not to much. We made a pit stop at the waterfall for about 20 mins, it was absolutely gorgeous and so relaxing! I highly recommend this trail!
This is a moderate hike. I am a big girl and I struggled a good bit. But I did it. The hike is up the side of a MTN. But the waterfall at the top is absolutely incredible. Definitely worth the hike.

The hike is great until you cross the road onto the river side. Trail essentially turns into a bug infested swamp, and theres a long, dangerous stretch of road walking. Don't do it, just turn around when you get to the road and hike the trail back the way you came in.

A moderate out-and-back 2.8 mile nature trail featuring two small waterfalls plus a magnificent one at the very end. In the middle is an incline with stone steps making it a slight workout. Lots of moss-covered rocks and various seasonal flowers can be spotted along the way. Old shoes are recommended as there are two creek crossings and possible mud puddles on the trail (depending on rainfall).
Beautiful hike really enjoyed it. No bathrooms on site though so something to keep in mind.
Awesome views of the scenic city! Easy to get to bluff views without a long hike. Actually the view of Chattanooga and the Tennessee river adjoins the parking lot!
Incredible view. Shout out these kind strangers for taking our picture!
Closed..without warning..and no parking..
What’s good? Great view of the city. Very shady in the summer season. Trash cans and a few picnic tables available.

What’s bad? Nothing bad, but not much here. The view is nice, but basically it’s a small trailhead parking lot.
This trail is GREAT! It goes straight up the mountain and connects directly to the larger guild/hardy trail system.

This is a beautiful way to experience the Tennessee River. There are gorgeous views the entirety of the pathway. I believe the start and endpoint of the trail can be found online as well as the hours the trail/park are open to the public. Parking coincides with various entrances to the Riverfront. There are also emergency call stations along the walkway. I don't think any area of the path exceeds a moderate endurance. In my opinion, the brisk, quiet hours in the morning and evening are the most enjoyable and refreshing. Happy Trails!
Went on this trail today. I really was trying to make it to the big waterfall but didn’t make it there as I didn’t know how far it was. Other reviews said it would take 30 mins but it was past that and only saw small baby falls. I did like the views of the lake approaching the trail. The trail itself is very shady. Lots of rocks, some were like rock steps. The path switches up between rocks, flat land, then up or down hill. I enjoyed it. I would have loved to find the waterfall
gorgeous

River point is a place that I find peace and love to go there and meditate. I walk and also ride my bike and the trail is rewarding as the Tennessee experience. If your looking for one of the greatest scenic tours and tranquility. You have to experience River Park. This is my praying well. I do not fish but I watched guys catch some of the biggest fish. They keep the park so clean. There is security in the park. You never see anyone out of order. The rest rooms are very clean. If you have children perfect place for your children. This park is a highlight of Tennessee.

Very good place for walking cycling very big are neat and clean neat and clean siting are adequate banches for resting and sitting overall worth place to visit.
Beautiful scenery! Peaceful! I thoroughly enjoyed my run along this stretch of trail. I was compelled to just keep going to see more of it.
Beautiful walking trail on top of the flood control levee.
Construction of the levee was to reduce flooding, but it created an unexpected added benefit of creating a marvelous upland wetland area that is wonderful for birds and wildlife!

Beautiful, quiet, serene, clean, well lit, lots of benches, perfect for a walk or bike ride .. long, really long or short.
Probably nice if you are on foot on don’t need to park a car, but google maps will direct you down a residential street that has no parking. If you’re in the car, I recommend trying the other Stringers Ridge trail access point.
Awesome find. Loved the view
Perfect for a good run while not thinking about anything

Most of this forest trail is moderate with occasional rocks and boulders. You will cross over a couple creeks that may have a little water but the actual waterfall is about 45 min into the hike. Depending on time of year the waterfall may not have a lot of water but still a beautiful place.

- Some section as you go farther have a decent incline and could be a challenge for some.
- Wear decent shoes and remember rocks are slippery when wet😁
- This trail is not a loop so although it is easier going back down just remember however far you hike in, you have to hike back out.😓
Foot trail is overgrown to get to this location but the view is amazing! There is also a primative campground just across the trail.

Three bearded coal-men and brides beyond.
Decent short trail but has a good potential to be very muddy after rain. A couple decent views of the river and there are tons of birds.
The owner of the Cat Cafe told us about this location and he was right it was beautiful!! Stunning veaw of the city. Many great hiking trails that are dog friendly. It's also a beautiful drive. If you want to see lovely over look but maybe you are not capable walking to a over look this is perfect. The only reason for 4 stars were the bathroom. They were trashed. I feel so bad for who ever has to clean them
Beautiful Place And Atmosphere, You Can See Chattanooga Lovely View From The Mountains.... There Are Benches You Can Sit Eat, Read A Book Are Just Enjoy The Beautiful Peaceful Atmosphere. There Is Also Trails To Walk Or Bike Ride.....I Really Enjoy My Visit!! Have A Blessed Day Everyone 😊
Very nice trail - It crosses two creeks before climbing up to a beautiful waterfall. The very last bit is steep but not bad at all, and the rest of it is pretty meandering. There are lots of stone steps in places, and overall it was hard on my knees, but a great trail nonetheless.
Always a good hike. Many miles of trails and much to explore and find. Some really cool things from the past to find and look at. The overlook is awesome during the day. Though is worth the short hike at.night to see the city. I would definitely recommend this place for a fun filled day to spend in nature in the middle of the city.

Very muddy after it rains, but its a really good loop and you dont run into a ton of people. Plus in the late winter/early spring, the trees let off gases that turn the water to either a rainbow color or pink.
This is tougher hike because of a steep incline that lasts a good stretch, I found it quite hard but it’s labeled as moderate. The hiking path is clearly marked and there is some fun rock formations and fallen tree logs to climb over at certain points. It’s not too busy only passed a couple of groups and you go back the same path you came. After hiking up the mountain we got a reward of seeing a beautiful waterfall. When we started hiking back down the mountain our legs felt like jelly, a great workout!

Great place for a cycling, running or just short walk with children. A lot of playgrounds for children or rest areas.

No views, the lower part had lots of trash and skeeters, confusing signage on the lower regarding the trail vs private property, a large part of the loop "trail" is the street, and the wood walkway near the parking lot was in terrible condition. Will not do this trail again.

Reflection Riding charges $15 to park for a day across the street from the trailhead. Highest parking fee in Chattanooga!

Love the trail, hate that Reflection Riding turned into jerks a year ago over the parking that was free for over 15 years.
A pleasant 2 mile loop trail that passes through the woods, along swampy ponds, and the Tennessee River. The trail is mostly flat, with only about 25 to 30 feet in elevation. The trail has several areas that hold water or are muddy. As a result, you should avoid this trail for a couple of days following a ring. Do NOT leave anything valuable in plain sight in your vehicle, as this place has a history of car break-ins.

Although I did not hike as much of this trail as I wanted to, the trails that I did find myself on were poorly marked and easy to get lost on. If you do not mind taking it slow and quite a bit of looking around for trail markers then you will enjoy the hike. Also as a note, sections of this trail are highly rocky so keep this in mind before starting the trail.
The Blue Blazes Hiking Trail is a beautiful yet easy trail in the Moccasin Bend area. It is close the the Northshore and minutes from downtown Chattanooga.

Ran here the day after Christmas, 8 miles out and back. 18 degrees cold! Great place to park and free too. Lot was pretty empty at 8 am. Plenty of shelters and bathrooms on the way. Nice views of the river, but also lots of manufacturing plants and the water company. Plenty of signs. Trail is mostly concrete and a little boardwalk. A couple nice bridges.
My favorite place to go and hike!
Two excellent hikes at this trailhead, pot point and richie hollow.
The trail maps are somewhat confusing, luckily we bumped into somebody who had been there several times that put us on the right path.

Beautiful! This is right off of mile two of the Riverwalk. It's called the S Chickamauga Creek Greenway. I didn't know it existed until a month ago. 5 miles one way of extra sidewalk that is along the S Chickamauga Creek and which presents beautiful scenery and is still a well kept secret, as there are hardly any people on it. I just happened on it out of curiosity of where the split in the sidewalk went at Riverpoint on the riverwalk. It gives you 10 extra miles of bike riding in total serenity.
Great view!!! Went from spears to hill to spur to main easy to get to!
Great hiking with children :)
Nice diversity along an easy shaded trail that winds through swamps and a pine forest. The trail is flat and narrow, boardered by lots of poison ivy. feilds and  Muddy after heavy rain, but still manuerverable in tennis shoes.  A few areas with stairs, boards and tiny hills. Good trail for running as there aren't many roots across the path. Has several water features wines through the swamp. It was a quiet peaceful 40 minute walk, no one else was on the trail. Long pants, closed toe shoes and bug spray are recommended.

Just completed the ~10 mile mullens cove loop yesterday. Beautiful and moderate hike with plenty of diversity in vegetation. We started the loop with the river view which I wouldn’t recommend as the final three miles were primarily up hill after an exhausting hike. Hiking along the river was beautiful though and you’ll enjoy it nonetheless.

Lots of waterfalls and creek crossings. Trail is well marked and wasn’t overly crowded even on Memorial Day weekend.

Check for ticks! Plenty were found on us during this hike.

Signs are wrong . Says you have 1 mile to go then a mile later you have gained nothing . Very steep n view is not worth seeing . Go somewhere worth your time instead of zigzagging through small path in woods

The trail starts out well (after you pass the barking dogs) and is great well marked. When tou cross the street and get closer to the river the maintenance on the trail isn't great.. There are areas with trees down, thorn filled vines. Not good.
Parking is sufficient, probably for 10 cars or so.
Beautiful hidden gem, just outside of Chattanooga on Raccoon Mountain. Never crowded or noisy. As you drive up the mountain, there are a few different places to check out, including the overlook. You are above the clouds. There are biking trails & good fishing spots. Tons of great photo opportunities & just a cool spot.

Pleasant hike with Sunset Rock as the reward at the end. Plan for about 2 - 3 hours round trip depending on pace and how long you stay for the view. The trail is fairly well marked and easy to follow. Well maintained on this trip. Mostly uphill with steepest sections near Sunset Rock. If you go up for the view make sure your dog is leashed, steep rock dropoffs abound.
Only a few parking spaces
Nice hike great view of Chattanooga
A lot of things to look at and pretty neat little walk in the woods. Very swampy conditions especially after the rain so bring your rain boots! Make sure to pack tick/bug spray and that you’re dogs have been treated before you go! Great loop (about a mile) that leads you back to parking.

Great trail and lots to see and enjoy
Just ok. Easily traversed but a bit boring.
Beautiful!!! The overlook is an amazing view of Chattanooga and the TN River. The Visitor's center looks great from the outside (was closed when I went). Very informative signs around the area. The views are awesome. The McNabb Graveyard was interesting (if you like to explore old graveyards...maybe find some distant relatives?).

Trail was very muddy and a under several feet of water towards the back, we had to turn around and back track. The swamp was covered in pinkish red algae or flowers of some type and was really pretty to look at.
This is my new favorite nature spot in Chattanooga. Prentice Cooper on Signal Mountain is cool but this place is really awesome too. Tons of awesome mountain biking trails and recreational places all over the place. The views are breathtaking, some of the best around Chattanooga
After all the good reviews I was really surprised the this Trail was in such poor condition. In one area I could not find the trail at all and just have to walk through a grassy field for a while until I found the trail again on the other side. Also if you're going to do this hike you need to wear pants because the grassy area is completely overgrown and your legs will get really itchy when you walk through it. The first part of the hike is mostly uphill then it goes back down and then levels off for a while. The trail was actually okay until it got to the road. Once you cross the road and it goes toward the river it just really falls apart. The second part of the trail looks like it has not been maintained in a long time.

Nice trail. Started at the dam and rode the bikes down. I recommend the Amnicola Trailhead. Nice quiet trail thru a wooded area with a mix of paved and wooded pathways. Only encountered one cross street on Amnicola, so no real worries about traffic on your walk/ride.
This is the most beautiful place in Chattanooga that is both easily accessible and basically devoid of people. It's always quiet, beautiful, and peaceful every time my wife and I come up here.

Great place to take folks who have never been there before.
So far we enjoyed the hike..we haven't finished the hike yet though..

Beautiful hike! Went mid January. Not real green.... but loved the mini waterfalls and ice off the rocks. Did not make it all the way to the big waterfall. But will most likely come back.
Fun times- little rock slide on part of the trail you should stay off of, but a good area!!
Limited parking. Puts you at the base of the Mountain w\several trails to fork off to. 👢😎

Good hike overall. One of the paths was blocked by a downed tree, so that trail ended prematurely. We went back the other way and another trail seemed to lead nowhere. Heard a couple of ATVs and a little noise from the shooting range nearby. But there was a Starbucks on the way back home and it was double star day. We couldn't even. 5/5 stars. Thanks Starbucks!

Historic coal mining site. Good trails, not often traversed, so paths are small, more natural, and not as maintained (which is perfect for me). 3/5 on difficulty, do not wear flip flops. Parking for two cars, trailhead is hidden. And grab a brochure in the box so you know where all 11 historic sites are. Some ruins, some collapsed mines, a dried-up riverbed. Definitely a locals' spot.
