Beautiful sculpture. A nice, peaceful place to sit and rest while walking around the reservoir or forest. A pity that the information board was removed (? Stolen) sad to see it at the moment in low water. Looks it’s best when Entwistle Reservoir is full and it create the illusion of the heron floating on the surface.
Good walk ,easy trails enjoyed

Brilliant walk around the reservoir and easy to follow path, also suitable for running (which is what we did)
There was a good sized car park but didn’t catch whether there are fees.
Entwistle is a lovely walk. It's about 5-6k from start to finish. There is only 1 short incline and the decline has steps. There are many locations for a great photo, my favorite being at the mid point of the longer side when you are crossing the reservoir. Really good for a dog walk and can also be used as a nice countryside jog
Great place for a walk come rain or shine. Boots or wellies a must in wet/damp conditions. Plenty of benches for a brew/ munchie stop. Wish people would either bag dog poop and bin it rather than bag it and throw it in the vegitation (no point) May as well leave it be and let the rain do its job!!
Wow! what a beautiful walk absolutely tranquil, especially with my dog Tia she loved it.

Great dog walking. Lovely views across the reservoir. Parking is on the road so golet there early for space. Great all year round but wear wellies if it's rained a lot. End the walk with a pint in the excellent Strawberry Duck pub near the station.

Beautiful uphill walk to Rivington Pike. This area is fantastic for walks and lots of stop offs for lunch or a nice bru. Lots to explore and different routes too. Defo worth a visit.

Well recommended, obviously more of a locals spot as we seen dog walkers and kids with bikes although the trails here are a lot harder to get around! Several waterfalls and a tyre swing which was so fun!

Quick trip out as it's been raining a lot which helps with the wow factor of this place. I've been before but my daughter hasn't so rather than have another day stuck in because of the weather we headed out. We took the treacherous route avoiding the proper paths and had a scramble on the ledge walk bit. Water was cascading down and it was so loud. Very enjoyable trip.

Was fantastic experience, nice nature view, waterfalls, amazing for Hiking,no any toilet facilities or shop or even car parking
A very popular and sometimes busy local beauty spot. Path around lake can be very narrow and muddy in areas. Avoid at peak times unless you like crowds.
This is a part of Entwistle Reservoir. You can walk around just this part or you can walk around all 3 parts of the reservoir. The water gets higher / lower in different seasons. You can choose to walk greater or shorter distances. There are no walls between the path and reservoir. There is parking.

Beautiful place to walk at anytime of the year and day although quite low levels today but that means to see a different side to the reservoir. Many different walls that can be done here not just around the reservoir itself. There are routes to the other linked reservoirs and a moderate amount of parking although be careful on the road in and out as passing is hard and there are deep gullies at the side of the tarmac.

There were 2 waterfalls at this location that are pretty much next to each other. The route to the waterfalls is not sign posted so I found it difficult to locate as I had young children with me. I had to cross the stream 3 times using stepping stones. When I eventually reached the waterfalls it was well worth it. It's a shame that it does not have sign posts.

A super area for hiking and jogging. Fresh, scenic and easy on the eye. Loved the paths and well kept woods. I will be coming back here very soon.
Went for a lovely family walk over Easter bank holiday weekend. We originally went to Jumbles but it was that busy there was nowhere to park so decided to try Entwistle which was about a further 10 minutes away. We are glad we went though as it was much quieter and we were able to enjoy the walk with much less people about. It is lovely and clean and very calming. There are a few benches along the walk around the reservoir and a few small areas closer to the water that you can get down to if you want to like we did. Well worth a visit if you like walking and nature.

There is parking nearby although we didn't find it. There is a walk around. You can either walk around just a part, or around the entire reservoir. Most of the way is flat. Part of the path is downhill, very little uphill, and there is a bit with steps up. You can see the reservoir most of the way around. In dry weather it is mostly dry.
Great place for a day out, after some sunny days. Good hiking place, with rocks, trees, small waterfalls. Nearby, there are several natural and historic wonders to look for to complete your day.

My most favourite place, no matter what the weather it's always gorgeous. Great for a dog walk.
Lovely walk with fantastic views. Roughly 5k. If you take the 2nd bridge at the west side, it cuts back through the woods and joins the main path again at the edge.

THE WADER (HERON) THIS 2.7M TALL GALVANISED STEEL SCULPTURE BY LOCAL ARTIST MARJAN WOUDA STANDS, PERMANENTLY WATCHING FOR ITS NEXT FISH ON THE BANKS OF ENTWISTLE RESERVOIR.
Well maintained paths, spectacular views, great walk around. Well worth a visit.
Amazing place for a good hike.
An easy 2.5ish mile walk around the reservoir starting from the car park and not hard to navigate as it literally follows the banks of the water. The car park and narrow lane in does get congested at peak times so best to get there early and enjoy a little more peace and quiet. It was a beautiful clear day when we visited although very wet and the bridle path around the reservoir does get muddy.
Great place for easy walks round resivoir and to see wildlife. Free parking . Can also walk from here round the Wayhoe resivoir for those that like to extend a walk note not as flat as Entwistle
