Absolutely gorgeous hike. Tons of mushrooms, lots of wildlife, gorgeous little creek and the beautiful Athabasca River if you make it to the end.
Beautiful place, gorgeous falls and an amazing naturally formed ogre face in the stone

Beautiful area but access is limited due to huge puddles along the road to the trailhead.
This is an epic mountain ⛰️ I realized I was afraid of heights at second checkpoint 🤣
Great hike. Very steep. We just went halfway.

It's an amazing trail and full of adventure.

Unfortunately, when we visited this trail, we found that it is not maintained at all. So if you like adventure as you go, give it a try.

Scenes are amazing from the hill up there and as you go down, it becomes even more adventurous and challenging, I loved it though.

One strong advice, please use proper branded hiking shoes or else you might get in trouble.

✌️👍👌
Steep for the first 2 km then levels out till closer to the summit. Great hike!Trial is well used and easy to follow.

Beautiful views but trail needs more maintenance to be enjoyed. Me and my daughter had multiple thissels that we're unavoidable.

Fabulous Trail! Gorgeous views, moderately marked trail. A few steep inclines but not unmanageable. You walk along the creek area as well on the edge of the canyon for portions of the trail with some views of Hoodoos peeking through. Trail map suggests there is a washroom at the trail head, but none that we saw. It took us 1hr45min to complete the trail, when we were done I had wished it was longer, it was so beautiful. We did not opt to go down the leg that goes to the Athabasca River though, so we could have extended our hike.
*Road to get here is a gravel logging road, so be prepared for that.

This is a short 1 hour 20 minute hike Beautiful scenic trail great for a novice fairly flat with a few areas of 30% incline but overall a great hike for anyone.

Beautiful walk. Mostly easy with a couple intermediate level hills. Amazing viewpoints.
Road is washed out east of this spot. (As of June 10th 2022)
Not passable by cars/trucks.
Possible go around for OHVs but not advisable.
Can turn around here and go back up.
Minor campsite location with access to OHV trails that are seasonal (June 30th to October)
What a fantastic hike. Not too advanced fairly easy and only takes 2 hours maybe 3 if you stop and chill at river
The road is heckin ROUGH but well worth it

My girlfriend and I needed a quick hike to squeeze in before dinner. We came here and it was a nice quick hike that had many really nice stops along the way. There were some small bridges and rock outcrops along the way which gave some very nice photo opportunities. There is also a waterfall along the way and access to the Athabasca river. You can access the Athabasca river by crossing a fallen tree. There is a nice picnic area by the river. It's definitely a nice small 1~1:30 hour hike!

If you own an agile doggo then its an excellent place for you and them to hike. Beautiful views and clean.
Gorgeous hike. We skipped the scree at the very top as it's quite unstable and still had beautiful views!!

Went here once with in-laws decades ago. Absolutely beautiful and a bit mysterious!
Beautiful hike with amazing views at the top! And best part is Folding Mountain Brewing is waiting for you when you're done the hike!

Deep slot of a canyon with lots of hidden caves. Go left for a few hundred meters on top of the ridge and you’ll see what I mean. After you climb around the canyon bottom do the ridge hike, you won’t be disappointed. The ridge provides beautiful views and a hidden waterfall.
The terrain up top near the falls can be treacherous use extreme caution as someone has fallen to their death in recent years. There are plenty of bears in the area so bring some spray! I don’t recommend hiking in so bring 4 wheel drive with a lift as the ruts are deep and filled with water. From the interpretive sign at the end of the road give yourself at 3-4 hours to do the canyon and ridge to take it all in.
This place has been shared by generations of my family and others, therefore needs to be respected So please do!! Local ranchers lease the land and there are horses grazing along the road. Close the gates behind you and again please be respectful.
Good trail overall. The first scramble gets you some nice views, but the summit is fantastic. Be ready to walk fairly far if you want to summit Folding Mountain.
Steep, slippery and 4 seasons! Started warm, hit the snow line, followed grizzly tracks for an hour, lovely views, rain and windy on way down. Great brewery at the bottom - can't complain about that!!
This trail is really something!! But be prepared! It was almost 7 hours for the round trip. First two kilometers are really tuff, but the views... Amazing! I loved. You will have forest, rocks and some flat terrain with just grass. Goes to my list of best trips of my life.
