Top part at UTSC has a ramp that goes halfway down, with a mobility scooter charging station on a few of the benches along the way. Whole ramp is about a 10 minute walk, and connects to Highland Creek's trail. It also connects to Morningside Park via a bridge (the brown bridge near the end of UTSC's paved ramp).

The front entrance of the trail is at UTSC, nestled outside the Starbucks and Humanities Wing.
The path is not well built for biking but overall it's a short trail, great for walking and beautiful view of bluff from a close distance.
I took this trail on a rainy morning, and it was perfect because the temperature was ok, I got some protection from the sun, and there were no bugs around.

From the side that I started the trail is barely marked and it is easy to miss, just by the community garden. There are two trash bins just by the beginning.

Be aware of the inclined pathway on this side, as anything on wheels will be hard to control on the way down, and cumbersome on the way up (like a baby carrier, for example).

In the middle of the trail there were a couple of rocky bays/Beaches that made the perfect spot for a quick stop.

Beautiful in the evening time with the cute lights they have set up.
Its a dangerous trail to walk but for a photoshoot, this is a beautiful location.
The trail is about steep initially, so make sure you wear shoes with decent grip, because the chances of slipping and falling is pretty high. It's a small hike down, not that much of a task tbh. It's very calming and beautiful though. I don't know if it's because of the timing I went and there were very few ppl down there. Regardless definitely worth coming once in a while especially during the summer just to take some time out, and release your stress.

Halfway through got this beautiful scene couldn't make the whole trail but it was refreshing
Beautiful trail. I thought it will lead to the Scarborough Bluffs but it stops you halfway and you’re forced to take the super steep uphill back.

The trail connects UTSC main campus with the Highland Creek watershed. The built structure has an accessible design that perfectly blends with the ecology of the sensitive ravine system.
I believe that this pin location is talking about the bad hill portion of the full trail and I agree. I hope the city redevelops this but I think they resisting as it will draw more traffic. This area already gets so full that police block the road way during most weekends once the parking lots are full. They could still improve the bike and walking path from top to bottom and I hope this poor rating for this portion of the trail will get official attention. Yes, it is a really long way from the top all the way down, especially if you are on foot and heading to the beach. Take water and snacks as there are no stores and only the one restaurant at the bottom. Please do not bring glass to the trails and please, always take any trash out or at least to the nearest bins which are provided.
This is great little hike. It offers you more solitude when compared to the more popular trails around the bluffs and it gives several vantage points for great photos. If you pick the right time of day, you get the secluded stone beaches all to yourself. There are several other llittle beaches along this trail offering unique views of the bluffs and the lake.

You need good shoes for this trail and it is not friendly to people with mobility issue. There is one steep section and many areas of large lose stones - be careful in wet weather.

There is ample street parking near the trailhead. The trail begins right behind the yellow gate posts. You start by descending a steep hill. At the bottom of the hill, the main trail is on your left and to your right is a less travelled trail that goes down to quiet stone beaches - I save these beaches for the end of my hike.

So if you follow the main trail you will get a peaceful walk and if you willing to climb over some large stones, the trail will lead you into Bluffers park. I usually turnaround at Bluffers Park and head back for those secluded stone beaches near the start of the trail.

So when your back at hill by the trailhead you see a little trail to your right descending into the bush . Follow that trail to some of the quietest beaches in the city.

It is about 5k if you do both sections of the walk.
One of the best places to enjoy the bluffs with the least number of people.
A short trail and you've entered heaven. It looks the prettiest in July and August. With ducks and geese just roaming around in groups. It's beautiful. The pictures that am sharing were clicked mid June 2022.
I agree it is dangerous to walk here, but it isn't exactly a pain as the other reviewer said. It's crazy for sure, with deers and cars running all over and you just trying to dodge them when you can. Take 175 during summers which is available Friday to Sunday, or else, there's a trail that begins where the resident area ends. But that one doesn't really lead to the bluffs (well it does, but there's a hefty fine in case you are caught doing that).

Overall, it is an okayish and below average trail, the bluffs region has far better trails, you will not regret traversing this by a Bus or a Car instead.
Absolutely awful. Walking here is a pain and dangerous. There isn't exactly a place for hikers and cars. The sides of the roads are ugly for walking on and the "sidewalks" are horribly made, risky to walk on, near the road and it even ends at one point before you reach the park. It's not like people have a choice though but this city should spend money on making proper sidewalks and not on more useless condos and pointless subway lines.
Absolutely gorgeous! Ensure you’re wearing your hiking or running shoes when you visit. Great exercise trail (steep). View is worth it.
It's a few people but it's a beautiful place. You also can see the cliff and lake views.
The walk down from the university into Morningside park is a lovely one. The winding walkway is beautiful and accessible and view along the way is beautiful. I love it when it lights up at night, brings a little magic to the air✨

We enjoyed a stroll through the valley land trail today, just to get out and get some much needed exercise & fresh air. We appreciated the very well maintained wheelchair accessible (walker/rollator) paved paths, close by parking, beautiful architecture & breath taking views! although it will really be something of beauty come the spring and summer months, we will definitely come back! ♡
The newly built portion by UTSC was very nice, with lots of paths and places to sit. It was wheelchair accessible (with a wheelchair charging station midway down the path). You can also walk into the forest area and along the creek toward Morningside Park. Not too busy when we went, and it was not too difficult for our little one to do the trek. Parking on campus was $4/hrs when we went.

Nicely made accessible-friendly connection between campus and the trails below. Nice twists and turns with shrubs and trees. Nice wood, bronzs and concrete design.
