Fancy library with three floors, people there are helpful and maintain the place to be quite for you as best environment for reading and study.
I love the library and all the services they provide. It goes beyond books, music and movies. In addition to the Link+ service and the discount program for museums, they have a maker space and park pass for state parks.
Very helpful with helping me sign-up to get a library card to check out some Manga books, they even held on to them for a week until I complete my identification process
I may be biased, but the building is just stunning. Add to that the amount of art all around the building, both the permanent and constantly changing displays in partnership with the Hayward Arts Council, make this a worthy destination.
The library has a wide array of programs, and the various interactive features in the children's room as well as the beautiful Heritage Plaza right across the street, make the library a fun place to visit for the entire family

It's very clear which direction the library is headed. 20 minutes after opening there should not be a person nodded off asleep on the furniture, taking bird baths in the restrooms. Groups of street folks eating, laying about, drugging in the stairwells, fighting, yelling and stinking - they are coming from San Francisco via BART. Wish the city would take notice and send these folks back to San Francisco. They are not from here, don't belong here. Hayward gets something nice for once and it's soon to be ruined by transient druggies from SF. The library is for reading, studying, and community activities - it is not a place for drugging, sleeping, eating, stinking, and causing disturbances.
It's a wonderful place, I'm so glad that I can visit it with a child. Always clean toilets and a great area for children and activities, we appreciate it. It's a pity that homeless people can't be kicked out
Nice place. Good design, a large selection of books. The only thing I didn't like was that there were few places where you could sit down and read. You can also take English language courses there. I really like libraries. It's always quiet here. I love this atmosphere. You can come with children, because there is a lot of interesting things here for them too.
Very cool place to visit, various study spaces, computers, cafe, and seed lending library. Nice manga collection. Teen and children areas, as well as a bookstore. Worth visiting
