Another amazing temple this is.
We were really impressed with the site and again the details around it.

We are not sure if they are going through some construction/maintenance but we felt the place needed some tidying up and cleaning.

Still highly recommended and worth seeing it.

Clearly somewhere that has great potential and is undergoing renovations at the moment. Reasonably quiet when we were there and tourists are not common here. Lots of rubbish and a shame to see this in the holy water. Monkeys everywhere (which was the main attraction for us). I think in the next few years this is somewhere that will get out back on the map if improvements continue.

Such a beautiful temple of Lord Ganesha. Very neat and clean. During noon hours " darshan's are closed so visit before 12:30 pm or after 4:00pm

They call it monkey Temple. Very quite and peacefull place. There are children who are educated as brahmans. Temple is inside of mountains which I find magical. There is wonderful energy

We were really exhausted. The inside is quite good though.
One other thing that, they charge 100 rupees for even phone camera and guards roam around to check anyone without ticket is clicking pictures or not.

In the region, we discovered several enchanting temples. We reached the area around 11 o'clock in the morning and stayed until evening. There are two ways to get there: one on foot and the other by vehicle. If you opt for the Galta Gate route(by foot), be prepared for a hill ride.

After exploring the two temples at the entrance, we headed straight to the water tanks. The view from that vantage point was truly breathtaking. Don't forget to come prepared for the ritual bathing in these tanks.

In conclusion, this is an underrated gem and a must-visit spot in Jaipur, appealing to both tourists and locals alike.

Architecturally the temple complex itself is stunning and set in picturesque hills. Unfortunately they have got a bit of a scam going on to charge foreigners, and try to short change them, then once inside continually harass you for donations. Pick one funding model and go with it, either it’s ticketed entry or donation, but you can’t do both! I’m not sure where the money is actually going, since there is trash everywhere and no preservation / restoration works seem to have ever been attempted.

The temple of monkeys was one of the most interesting visits in Jaipur. We were almost the only tourists that morning, which helped improving the experience. Be ready for the many monkeys and quite a lot of trash, but please do enjoy the different temples, façades, etc. You’ll find people performing diverse rituals.
And if you keep climbing towards the Sun Temple, you’ll have magnificent views of Jaipur.

Ganesh temple is located at the top of a hill.
There are many steps to the temple, so though the journey is scenic, it can be challenging for the elderly.
The place is surrounded by beautiful scenery.
The temple is simple and modest. You'll find ample small shops, and sellers of offerings and garlands as is the norm outside all Indian temples.

I visited this temple first time in 2008. At that time this place was very Calm, Clean and beautiful. Not because of the tourist attraction proper care is not taken care of by the organization.
People are feeding the monkeys and because of many tourists, the food is too much for the monkeys so because of this waste can be seen everywhere. Even the water is not clean. Management should work on keeping this place clean as this is a tourist place of Jaipur. Water in Kund should be cleaned regularly as this is stored water.

Good Parking facility is available near by.

Jai Shree Ganeshi Ji. The temple is itself an emblem of serenity and solitude amidst the rush of the city. It takes you to climb more than 200 stairs to reach at the top and seek blessings from this famous temple, almost making it a kind of trek pilgrimage.

Very famous temple in Jaipur. Very neat and clean . Very well constructed. No entry fee . Well mentioned garden area. A must visit place. But the toilets were very dirty not usable.

It was a very beautiful area with many temples around. We parked outside and bought the tickets at the ticket counter and we had to buy the ticket for the phone/camera, too. If you don't buy a ticket for your phone/camera, they will charge you more inside. We were there quite early in the morning. The road there was very quiet with a few people walking to the temples to pray in the morning. We visited 2 temples at the entrance and headed straight to the water tanks. It was a breath taking view from there and I was happy that it was a must-see place on my list. There were people who cleaned themselves there like a ritual although the water was not quite clean and there was trash there. We walked to the top and surprisingly we saw a cow there. There were many monkeys there and I was quite scared of them. The area around brought me a nostalgic feeling and if I have a chance, I will be back there again

We visited Shree Akshardham in Jaipur for the first time on New Year's Eve and we loved it. The temple was beautifully decorated as you can see in the pictures. The atmosphere was very serene and uplifting. Also, there was a large seating space outside the temple. There is no fee for visiting the temple. The parking is very limited, but you can park outside the street shops.

The temple looks magnificent, especially at night. It's a must-visit place in Jaipur. The temple is full of fine sculptures and details. However, the temple complex is not that big. It's best to visit at night before you finish off your day as you can sit and relax there for a while.

Another weekend another place... So this time we visited Akshar Dham temple, which was due in Jaipur for a long time. It's a calm place with no hustle bustle. In my opinion Noida Dham is grand in comparison to Jaipur one.
The only thing I question about, is that ladies cannot visit the front row. I didn't understand the logic behind it.

You can find snacks just outside the temple.

The best part was the heavy crowd was not there.

Disgusting mess. Absolute disgrace and rip off to charge tourists to see the filthy litter everywhere. Couldn't bare to stay longer than 5 minutes before leaving. Be better, management.

Holy old place between mountains ,nice place to visit , cleaness is not good but place is nice .
Own vehicle is good for visit because taxis are not going on top ,u can drive till top if you have own car.

Too much monkeys is there

It looks like an abandoned place that is dirty, smelly, ignored, and badly maintained. They charge tourists 100Rs + 150Rs for the mobile phone. The guy at the ticket office was rude and terrible. At first, he refused to take my 500Rs banknote, claiming it had a scratch, and then took another one and didn't give the change.

One of the less visited but must visit place of Jaipur definitely you should include this in your bucket list if you are planning for Jaipur. This temple is also known as monkey temple because of lot of monkeys here, don't worry they won't harm you. This temple is surrounded by arravali mountain ranges which make it more beautiful.
Best time to visit here is in morning.
There is A natural spring emerges high on the hill and flows downward, filling a series of sacred kunds in which pilgrims bathe.

A very beautiful palace

Beautiful architecture, very silent and peaceful. No crowd on weekdays. They have a beautiful well maintained park by the side.

The mandir and Sri vigraha is divine for sure. Mandir is located on a hill and the access route to the starting point from where the trek starts is very clear. The trek is approximately 350 steps and there is alternative of ramp too. The stairs might be a little uncomfortable for newbies. The view from above are definitely worth it. There is an ancient Mahadev temple located nearby the Garh Ganesh temple, you can pay a visit there too. The Gaitor Chattri i.e. the Royal Cenotaphs of the Jaipur Royal Family are adjacent to the hill on which the temple complex is present. It was a good experience overall. You can also pay a visit to Nangal Waale Ganesh Ji located on the ground nearby to this location.

Off the beaten track and hence almost no tourists. If you want to have monkeys eating out of your hand take a packet of crisps (they like salt and vinegar). It costs extra to take a camera or phone in so leave any others in the car.

Excellent example of Beautiful Temple, it's a very quiet place located near the mid of city with beautiful idols of swami narayan bhagwan . Fully equipped with all the facilities for the bhaktgans like washrooms and eateries and a fabulous well maintained garden in front of the temple.

Would need a little investement but anyway worth the visit. Amazing views. Monkeys are calm if not provoked. We walked all the way from gate and it was a nice change to noisy city. Its all nature with great views.

The temple is a gorgeously located near a hilly area and hence there is no access to the main shrine. You will find monkeys lingering around in enormous numbers. A wonderful experience is ensured. It seems difficult to get a cab here. Hence it is recommended to take necessary precautions. The premises were not very clean during my visit.

Unfortunately would not recommend. While it was lovely to see all of the monkeys roaming around, for a popular tourist attraction the temple was not well looked after and there was trash everywhere, arguably the most littered temple I’ve been to so far in India. Quite sad to see all of the monkeys and other animals eating the rubbish that was in the river, which ruined the entire experience. The people that work here are only there to get your money, they commented that the rubbish situation was awful but had no incentive to clear up. There were no bins anywhere either, which would have significantly helped. There is an additional charge to take pictures, which costs more than the entrance ticket and is an outright scam!. Hope someone with authority sees this comment and decides to take action. Very disappointing.

Very beautifully designed, entry point to the Galta ji temple , there are two entries for Galta ji, one from forward and another from backward . And in between there is a series of temples and the Galta ji kund ( the main attraction and devotion point ) .
Went here from both sides , sometimes for kawad yatra and other for fun , roaming in the mountains.

It's really a good place to visit. And the view from here is spectacular. But you willl have to do a bit of trek to walk up. It's around 2 - 3 km. But it's really worth it. I would say take your own vehicle to reach there. Also, it's a bit away from the city and you might be out from your network.

This temple is situated in the lap of mountains. This place provides shelter to lot of monkeys and cows. Temple is situated in the mountain valley. View is very beautiful and this place is looks like more adventurous when you travel without any vehicles. The temple is dedicated to Lord Hanuman alongside Lord Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Goddess Parvati, and their son, Ganesh. The temple has 2 water bodies inside, where you can take a holy dip. However, the locals are seen using it as a swimming pool more than a holy place of worship. The temple is home to a lot of monkeys and stray cows, and the locals believe you can even spot a leopard in the mountains. The temple premises are extremely dirty due to cows roaming around freely, and one may find cow dung almost everywhere.
It is good for peace and happiness... A lot of devotees come here for holy dips. There are no entry charges. Rs.100 is charged for taking cell phone inside the temple. This place has a different peace offering. There are three natural water reservoirs. The source of water is unknown.

Amazing geography and architecture, the temple is set in between the mountains. Vibe is immaculate - people singing and playing music and swimming in the holy water.
Great place to see and feed monkeys (they're Macaques). Paid entry and you can get a guide. It was also very cool here as the breeze flows between the mountains.
Note that the monkeys are given so many bananas that they sometimes won't eat them. Our guide used salty chips, which the monkeys loved.

It's a peaceful place and the view of jaipur city from the hills is so good , you can sit and enjoy it all day without getting bored. The freshness of nature makes you feel good. The opening time of the temple is 5am To 12pm and 4pm to 7 pm in the evening. Wednesday seems crowded.

I went BAPS shri swaminarayan mandir on sunday 11-06-2023 with my family. There are many entrance to enter. Only thing is there's no proper parking. On weekends there's so much rush.

Very good experience.. it was divine experience. Known as akshardham temple . Very big and spacious. Neat and clean campus. Marvelous architecture. Pure stone building. Temple of swami narayan, bhagwan ram with seeta mata and hanuman ji. Bhagwan shiv with Parvati and Ganesh ji. Restaurant inside campus serves delicious food. Dharamshala is also there for stay. Can feel peace and happiness while visit the temple.

Very religious and pious place hosts multiple temples.

Architecture of the place is all natural as the place where the bathing ponds are situated is naturally placed in between two rocks which looks amazing and marvelous.

This place is also a habitat for monkeys which is found in enormous quantity.

The route to reach this temple is also very beautiful and scenic.

The place is very beautiful and quiet. The old buildings are renovated but still there is a scope for cleanliness. The water in the pond is clear but the around area is not that cleaned. Children take bath in it and people wash their clothes.
The temple uphill is the oldest temple of Lord Hanuman. Many people come to this temple often. And there are other temples also.
There is some trekking area also uphill side.

Our driver took us here but we found the temple buildings to be in a very poor state of repair and there was rubbish everywhere you looked. The sacred bathing pools had plastic bags and other rubbish floating in them. You have to pay 100INR admission plus an extra 150 INR each to bring your smart phone in to take pictures. Not recommended unless you have a spiritual connection to the Hindu temples located here.

Tourists! Please use the entry on the other side of the hill to enter, only in the case you are planning to cross the hill. Use this gate for exit only as it is easy to get taxi from this side, the other side taxis are triple or four times the price, as no one accept uber pick up that side! You will be exhausted to come back and take taxi from here. So better get drop off by an uber on other side and save yourself from taxi scam.

And yes it is a beautiful historical walk with temples in mountains with lot of monkeys! A must visit!

Surrounded by mountains and greenery,about 10-12 kms in east of the Pink City, the famous holy pilgrimage centre GALTAJI is situated.With many ancient and beautiful temples, you will find thousands of monkies here, if you will not bull them,bother them, they will love to get feeded in your hands otherwise may be harmful or dangerous to you.

Naturally beautiful place.
But the area is not well maintained.
Can be beautify by cleaning and arranging the things.
Visitors should avoid the bigger in and around the temple.
So called Pandits/Babas demand money from tourists. Also force to take entry fees and camera fees, but there is no official permission for this.

I found the whole area of Galta ji is a bit dirty, poorly managed. So many clothes thrown here and there.

Rather than the heritage this place, we next to the entrance of the fort. Ours is Mahindra Bolero Neo new vehicle. Strucked in sand. When we tried to our best but vehicle strucked in sand. Local people don't guide us like where to park. Finally every one helped us by removing sand and finally exited.

There are many temples in this site and one the special attractions of the place is a natural spring that flows downwards from the hill top. The water from this spring fills up many kunds or water tanks which are considered very sacred and the pilgrims visiting the temple take bathe in this pious water. The temple comprises of 7 holy water tanks or kunds out of which the Galta Kund is the most significant of all. The water of this kind is believed to be different from anywhere else which makes it even more fascinating for the visitors to watch.

The temple is often called as the Monkey Temple as you will find many apes roaming about here within the complex. This famous temple of Jaipur is dedicated to Lord Hanuman who is also called the Sun God. This wonderful holy temple of the Hindus is made of pink sandstone and the temple appears more like a palace than a place of worship. As the temple is located on the Aravalli Hills, it offers a fantastic view of the city of Jaipur from the hilltop. The surrounding of the temple also creates a lovely landscape with green vegetations on all sides. You will also find small temples dedicated to Lord Rama and Lord Krishna being established within the complex. The walls of the temple are beautifully painted and decorated with curved pillars and rounded roofs. This holy shrine experiences a lot of crowd every year during the occasion of Makar Sakranti when a large number of devotees visit the temple to take dip in the holy waters of the kund.

Galtaji is an ancient Hindu pilgrimage about 10 km away from Jaipur, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. Built within a mountain pass in the Aravalli Hills 10 km. east of Jaipur,[2] Since the early 15th century Galtaji has been a retreat for Hindu ascetics belonging to the Vaishnava Ramanuja sect.[1] It is said to have been in the occupation of yogis for a long time; Payohari Krishnadas, a Ramanujite sadhu, i.e. a follower of the Ramanuja Sampradaya) came to Galta in the early 15th century and, by his yogic powers, drove away other yogis from the place.[3] Galta was northern India's first Vaishnava Ramanuja Peeth and became the one of the most important centres of the Ramanuja sect. The temple features a number of pavilions with rounded roofs, carved pillars and painted walls. The complex is set around a natural spring and waterfalls that create 7 Holy Ponds.[4]

History About Galta Ji

This 'Galva Ashram' is named after the famous Holy Saint Galva, who performed penance for about 60,000 years in Satya Yuga and, according to the ancient beliefs, brought the sacred Gangaji to Shri Galtaji, which comes out of the Gau-mukh (Cow's mouth).
According to 'Galvashram Mahatmaya' on every full moon day of the hindi month 'Karthik', Brahmaa, Vishnu and Shiva, the Trinity of Gods of Sanatan Dharma visit this holy place as the reason of which taking bath in the holy ponds provide divine blessings of God into multiple of trillions. Also the holy pilgrimage to all the four Dhams and the Saptpuris is considered to be incomplete unless the pilgrim does not come to take the holy bath in the pond of Galava Ashram.
This famous Galva Ashram is made popular in the name of Galta Gaddi (Peetham) by the founder Acharya the Miraculous Holy Saint Payohari Swami Shri Krishnadas Ji Maharaj in 1503 A.D. (Samvat 1560), who was named Payohari as he lived on the Cow-milk throughou.

A very beautiful place and a very very good example of architecture........ Very nice temple and a visiting place...... A place situated in vaishali nagar Jaipur very peaceful place..... But you can found crowed here in every evening..... But you must check timings before going to the temple...... Because its not always open..... Very nice and beautiful place for family and children .......surely you will live it

Marvellous temple. Mesmerizing engraving, stunning design, amazing infrastructure and most important, peaceful environment 😌. Very good facility for spending night within the temple which has amazing guest house. Rooms are quite large and clean. General rooms are also available which are very large. Common hall is also available which is very very large with capacity of almost 80-90 people. Simple food is also of great quality and very very tasty. Overall an great experience of visit and stay.

Take an Uber or a Tuk Tuk and head to Galta ji Dham. You get off at the huge door to the city and start your walk uphill.
You will pass the big temple and after 50 meters starts walking down to the valley where more than six temples are scattered around.
I went twice during my stay in Jaipur.
I loved the Monkeys and watching them.
It s true at sunset they are more numerous as well as at sunrise.
I loved the place!
Don't take flowers from guards. Just say no. You won't enjoy them much ... monkeys will snap them off from your neck.

Galtaji temple is located between the arawalis,away from the crowd and noise of Jaipur city. We were reluctant to visit this place at first but as soon as we reached the place we were amazed with the raw beauty of the temple complex. This place is exoctic at its best with lots and lots of monkeys welcoming you, playing and teasing in their own world.

I go there on frequent basis, to feed monkeys. I love to spend time there, with these friendly creatures. They are good if you respect them and understand their warning too. Don't try this straight away until you understand the way to tackle them.

Spiritual and heritage place of Jaipur.. peace and nature is at its best..

Very beautiful place but extremely poor access if you don't have personal vehicle.. No network coverage, No CABs, No Public Transport and Auto rikshaw... it's very risky to visit in evening with old aged, children and people who can't walk long or climb.. There are only 2-3 local auto rickshaws, who are very rude and they extort money... Be very careful... I would recommend go/come by walking and climbing from Galtaji Gate. I was caught there in late evening with family (2 ladies and 1 senior citizen)... It was horrible experience

Beautiful temple with a park. A clean, green and peaceful environment. Also you can enjoy fast-food at nominal amount in the temple. This temple is manage by BAPS. All the saints are well educated and have a good knowledge and nature.

Kings build such entrance gate to show way direction and border of their limitations of power .

I visited many time at here but i feel always something new at here. if we are talk about temple than i wanna tell you whole temple made by a unique stone. here is 3 small statue back side of temple here is a guest house and under of the temple a small museum camera is not allow in this museum and visit fee is 20 rupees and for guest they charge 1200 per parson and on the time you can book the room you must visit it.

This place is really speciall, our driver guide took us here and we have been amazed. Probably the most speciall thing to fo for most western people is feeding monkeys by hand. The place is normally crowded with monkeys which are living in this place without any boundaries. Probably you would enjoy it. :-) also the place is vey nicely historicall.

This place provided me immense peace to my mind. As soon as i had entered the temple premises, i felt peace and all my worries and tension were just out of my mind.
I was so much relieved from all of my worries and was experiencing a moment of joy which i think i have never experienced before.

Very nice place. And some very nice buildings. The water is beautiful. It's about an 15min walk before you reach the temple but it's worth it. The monkeys are cool, but be careful if you are carrying food. They will approach you if you they smell something.

First of all Galta ji temple, monkey temple, hanuman ji temple, ram ji sita ji temple, all are at single place...google shows them as different and through different roads. Now the place is very good. A must one time visit if you are in jaipur. Place is not that well maintained. Proper cleaning is required there mainly at bathing ghat.
