Could not have found a better place to get married! Shae and Sarah the wonderful ladies who assist with events here are one of the main reasons we had to book our wedding here. They are friendly, kind, understanding and all around great people to have on your side. During such a stressful and financially taxing event they were so easy to work with; it was truly a "treat you like family" experience. They were able to work within our budget and still make it a memorable/exciting event. They were able to accommodate our guests who had some food restrictions with no issue and took it seriously. Very flexible with our set up and take down time frame. One of the owners Sunny is amazing as well; he hired a team of truly amazing people. He was available for our special day and took care of us all night.

The food was to die for; everyone who attended our wedding raves about it! The drink menu is quite impressive compared to some venues and the bartenders will happily make you any drink you wish. They have a bridal suite semi attached to the venue; i did not make use of this room but for any brides who need that space it is quite lovely to get ready in and be close by for your special moment!

If you're looking for a venue that at first glance may seem smaller or not your typical wedding venue; i highly recommend The Baron. They far exceeded my expectations and were an absolute pleasure to work with.

I cannot say enough good things about this space and the team at The Baron. From the moment I reached out and even after our event Shae, Sarah and her team have been so highly organized, friendly, and supportive.
I hosted our company awards gala at this space in February and was so happy with how everything turned out! The staff had everything organized ahead of time and were so easy to work with. We encountered some sound issues during our presentation which the staff helped out tremendously with. The food and drinks were lovely and our attendees loved how much parking was available!
We’re excited to host our 2025 events with them!

The Baron was amazing to work with for our October wedding! The space checked off all the boxes for the mood of our wedding. The food was so delicious and had a great variety to choose from. The staff was always responsive and provided top-tier service. Highly recommend if you are looking for an intimate gathering for a great price!

The Baron is an INCREDIBLE wedding venue that we used in August for our special day. I loved that the staff provided so many options for our day and allowed us to do a tasting of food before making a final decision on the menu. They were accommodating of all our extra needs and so attentive during the day. Everyone invited had compliments about how fabulous the venue looked and the food. The staff also helped my family take down decorations after the reception, which we were so grateful for. I would highly recommend this venue for ANY event!

We used The Baron as our wedding venue in April of this year, and cannot recommend them enough! The customer service during the wedding planning process, as well as on wedding day, was excellent. The whole team was prompt in responding to emails and phone calls, answering questions, and making accommodations for us as needed. We had to postpone our wedding twice over the course of 2 years due to Covid, and the venue staff did their best to work with us on moving things around. As a pregnant bride, the venue staff made accommodations for me as needed which were much appreciated. Everything was set up to our standards and photographed beautifully.

Professional and friendly service! Organized my pre-wedding dinner here, and everything went so well. Their foods tasted amazing, the venue looked cozy & beautiful, and the staff, especially Angie, were cheerful, helpful and flexible. I received good feedback from my guests! I would highly recommend this place to those who are looking for a wedding venue.

We happened upon this place on Stephen Ave on a walk about. The Fillet Minion Alberta Steak, wonderful patio on the boardwalk. When it got to cool - we were invited in- Romantic areas, and Sports Dining - plus a bar. The smoked Brisket was also outstanding. Our wine selection was understandably sparse post Covid and Stampede. The waitress found a very good wine and gave us free desert. Picture sugar cinnamon donut balls filled with vanilla cream and chocolate cream filling - very unique and outstanding. Well Done. I highly recommend

What an amazing venue and team! We had our wedding here and everything was perfect. We had so many compliments on the food. The staff was so helpful. I would very much put them at the top of my list when planning any type of event in the future.

Great place for big gatherings - formal & informal. Lots of seatings for formal presentation. Layout is more like cinematic, very limited space for socializing

This last weekend I attended the metropolitan centre for a wedding, when I arrived I was impressed with the look of the place and thought it was a great place for a wedding until I interacted with the staff. The wedding was supposed to end at 01:00 am but around 10:30 to 11:00 pm staff began to clean up and it felt like the staff were pushing us out of the venue. Most of the people were on the dance floor having a good time, I had left a half full drink on the table and also a 3/4 full box of candy provided by the bride and groom from the candy table as a wedding favour. I left the dance floor to find my table completely cleaned off... and when I spoke to staff about it they informed me everyone had left so they had thrown away everything, except all our jackets were on the chairs surrounding the table. I then saw a staff member walk over to the candy table and stick their hands into a candy jar stealing some candy as they walked into the back room. Another member of the wedding spoke to the staff and they brought out a random half full box of candy from the back room almost an hour after they had “thrown out” all the candy. Near the end of the night around 00:30 am I observed a staff member attempt to sneak out of the venue with a box of candy tucked under his arm... when he saw me look at him he turned around and walked back into the back room. This made me believe that the staff were stealing the candy for themselves. I was very very disappointed with staff during the entire night

Amazing place to have conferences, workshops and trainings. Was there for two weeks doing our Mobile Klinik training for mobile repairs technician . Mobile Klinik is coming to Calgary. It's a great place that is in the Central Business District of Downtown Calgary.

I would to say thank you to the Metropolitan Centre for their hospitality on our wedding day (Aug 18, 2018).

2 months before our wedding date, our previous venue went south, leaving us scrambling to find another venue. The Met took us in right away, relieving tons of additional stress and we couldn't be happier (turned out to be a million times better than the initial venue we chose). They were able to bring in the Chinese Cultural Restaurant to cater a traditional 10 course Chinese meal (which was absolutely delicious!).

We would highly recommend this venue for any type of wedding! Special thanks to the marketing managers Howard and Sabrina, operations manager Jason and catering manager Jon and the rest of the Met staff for all of their help. Absolutely made our day extra memorable.

Best Wedding Venue Ever! We couldn't be happier with our decision to go with The Baron for our wedding reception. The staff were incredibly accommodating and kind. The food was fantastic and we got comments from quite a few of our guests on how much they enjoyed it. If your looking for Calgary venues and wondering about this one, let me save you the trouble, just book in here. You won't regret it.

I've attended a wedding here and my overall impressions of the place are around a 7.5. The reception hall is pretty good but you can definitely find a better venue for the ceremony.

We recently held a 4-day workshop at the Metropolitan Conference Centre which by all accounts was a great event. The booking staff were helpful and courteous describing the different options for us, the set-up and AV staff were knowledgeable and informed, and the catering staff were on-time and flexible with our last minute changes.

We held this same workshop at the Metropolitan Conference Centre ten years ago and then moved it to Banff for the last decade. We have decided that next year we will be back at the Metropolitan Conference Centre, as the ease of logistics and pricing can't be beat!

Special mention should go out to Jason. He is without question the best host and representative that the Metropolitan Conference Centre has to offer. He has been there for at least 15+ years, and it shows.
