My work place held a function at Melrose Reception recently and found the staff very easy to deal with. They were accommodating and listened to our needs. On the night, the event ran smoothly, wait staff were courteous and the food was delicious.

Tonight we attended a Deb ball excited to see the kids do the formal dances and beautiful gowns. Sadly we left very disappointed.
700 people, absolutely ridiculous amount which couldn't see, and for the poor elderly that came to see there grandchildren was unable to see because of everyone struggling to see standing in front of them.
The food entrees was great then took forever for main course which vegetables where left on the table for at least 20min going cold before meat came out.
I have been to at least 5 debs at this venue and I haven't walked away disappointed before.
A debutante ball is supposed to be intimate and with reverence and about the young ladies and ball gowns not how many people can be jammed in.
I understand that this is the venue and that there is an organisation that runs the function but for $125 per head I would consider carefully next time.
The poor waiting staff where so busy that they forgot to come back when asked for assistance.

We attended a function at this place last Saturday.
The venue is beautiful and perfect for the event.
But we were greatly disappointed by the old chairs there , with their sharp corners that snagged our outfits and damaged our clothes.
Hope the management will take it into consideration and replace the old chairs.

Raj the main chef went up & beyond to cater for my children’s anaphylaxis dietary requirements and my own. Very happy, great venue and great staff. Thank you for making our experience enjoyable.

The reception hall is great.
The food need is okay but need little bit of care when serving. Specially we got dishes in to tables without serving spoons and when we asked the waitress said they are coming but never came. It’s a simple action to add spoons when they are coming out of the kitchen.
Other than that no issues.
Recommend this place.

Went to a soccer presentation function which was attended by 700 people . The venue is spacious and well set out giving a ‘grand’ feeling. The food was great and the staff were attentive and quick with service.

We went to a Deb Ball here on Saturday night with over 700 people. This venue was outstanding. The service was excellent food was amazing delicious good size serving and served hot. I would recommend Melrose to anyone for a function. The staff on the evening did a fabulous job and are a credit to this business. Thank you
