I got stopped because, well, honestly I am not the world's best driver. The officer mentioned it, and I agreed with her entirely (I think I put my turn signal on at the last minute, or something equally as stupid). The officer who pulled me over was considerate, understanding, and very kind. She even laughed when I said that I was sorry, but I sucked at driving. These people put their lives on the line everyday. The people who complain about them should volunteer for the police department and see what it's like to put up with people who complain constantly (I can feel them rushing out the door as they read this . . . ) Our police force is great. They can't see it, but I'm giving them a standing ovation as I type this. Many thanks.

My disabled soon who is on a plethora of psych meds and while enroute to his destination his tire started to go flat. Thanks for the Valparaiso citizens who think it is criminal. He did make it to his destination. But the.cops thought he was acting strange. Hello???? Could it be the 5 psychmeds he is on? Was arrested for DUI.
If it comes out the way I think there will be a shot to protect our disabled citizens!!

Had a very small, non emergency problem I needed help with after hours and the officers were overly helpful and friendly. Very nice people. Think about all of these negative reviews....somebody does something wrong/illegal and are dealt with accordingly. Of course thats the "police dept's fault". Nobody holds themselves accountable anymore. Thank you officers for your service.

Very scary that these criminals have badges and are walking around this country armed. The officers here just like the rest of NWI are a good example why we need to get Law Enforcement. I was shocked by the way I was spoke to and how I was treated by an officer today. The first thing I thought was that these punks must not be wearing body cameras because there is no way they would by so hostile and refuse somebody every single right if they had. I suggest protecting yourself with a body camera, and a CCW if having to deal with such hostiles in an area such as this one. We need law and order and I will petition for the state of Indiana to do something about this national security threat.

The customer service is terrible. All I wanted was a 911 recording. It took a 8 days. They gave me the run around. If I could give them zero stars I would. Worst experience of my life. Remind me never to contact these people again. Oh and that 911 operator was a nasty chick.

I had 2 pure bred german shepherd stole and ALL of Valparaiso police know about it. Been 6 months no call back or interview set. The police were suppose to get evidence of who did the crime but i found out with physical proof and they still havent charged the criminal and her mother that was involved. Very sad that police department doesnt care bout hill top area

We had an issue with some guys at our coffeebar in downtown Valpo so we called the police. Three Officers showed up within 5 min. and handled the situation very professionally. Thank you so much.

Was pulled over about 1 month ago for speeding. The officer was very polite and respectful. He gave us a break because he saw we were on our way to school. All in all, it the officer was very polite and courteous to us.
