Stunning venue for a beautiful concert. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.
The candlelight evening of Vivaldi was perfect in its beauty as well as the length of time for the performance. It was organized and a breath of fresh air...a perfect relaxing time. I would love to do it again.
Beautiful. I enjoyed every moment and plan to attend another
God Bless everyone at this location. I would like to mention Gregory especially. Thank you, all. With Love in Christ, Emmanuel.
Good afternoon,
I am looking for a sponsor for the U4U program. Pls help me, sent a message by mail. Thank you so much
beautiful structure and iconography. the priests, psalti and choir work seamlessly during the liturgy. the sounds are beautiful. the solemnity of the prayers are truly inspiring.
Very Beautiful I don't really interact with anyone I mean if they know an olympian was in the church they might have questions and I sit in the back for a reasok to avoid people and focus on prayer, Otherwise very nice and actually seems like a real church where they are not just spewing things from their mouth and specifically calling you up to the altar to call you out of your name
Wonderful although small Greek Orthodox Church. Father Sophrony holds Bible study and discussion after Paraklisis service and it is always edifying. 🙏🏻☦️❤️
Great architectural find!
What a wonderful community of fellow Orthodox worshippers to be part of! This church has had a strong leadership for years. The priests that have led and who continue to lead the fellowship are the epitome of what the Greek Orthodox faith stands for. They welcome everyone from the Orthodox community: Syrian, Coptic, Ethiopian, Georgian, etc. Come one, come all for a meditative and profound spiritual experience with Jesus Christ! Again, I cannot express fully how lucky I am to have been a part of this wonderful community.
Headquarters of the Greek Orthodox Church in America stop by and say hi.
Simply love the people and the edifice!
Always easy to reach out to
It's like a Paradise Island on earth. A place where every Divine Liturgy raises my heart to heaven. Beautiful and prayerful Sunday services, beautiful singing, useful sermons. Thank you for your service.
For my company, I needed some meeting space for a theatre workshop for a group of college students in from out of town. Andrew from the church board was wonderful to work with, and the space was beautiful and very affordable. A really welcoming community!
Absolutely gorgeous on the inside, while the outside is strikingly simple. Definitely have to visit.
Too bad it is closed on January the 7th for an orthodox place
Wonderful religious temple for Greek Orthodox practitioners but also interesting to visit by agnostics or atheists for its architecture and iconolatry!
Historic Church with a newly appointed young enthusiastic priest, to enhance the revitalization of the community. You feel the warmth and presence of God as soon as you walk inside. Always been one my favorite Manhattan Greek Orthodox Churches.
Built by Greek immigrants to the USA, who excelled and prospered in this land away from home, and celebrating 100 years from the day it was founded. I am not an impartial observer, but here you go.
Another friend of mine who goes to the Russian Greek Orthodox Church and I had not heard of such a congregation so I wanted to research it myself very interesting they say that the religion was actually written by Jesus Christ himself.
Sayedna Elpidophoros is the greatest Archbishop in the Greek Archdiocese and has great vision. His Eminence has reinstalled our faith and assembled us in the presence of Christ our God in a new Church we so desperately needed. Love and respect always!
Beautiful church. Originally a Prespertarian Church converted to a Greek Orthodox Church. Beautiful strained glass windows and icons. One if the best Orthodox chanters (Greek) and English/Greek choirs. During non Covid times there are coffee hour after Sunday service. Sunday School for the child
What a special place to be. Enormous, grand, yet so humble.
Wonderful and energetic priest! Friendly people. The building is historic and elegant, was built by Heins and LaFarge, who also built the famous St John the Divine Cathedral in Morningside Heights
Very exotic interior to this church. One can certainly identify that it is Orthodox. The security man is one of the meanest nastiest curmudgeons I have ever seen.
I was baptized here at St George in 1953. Amazing little beautiful Church and still stands.
Poor....it was closed! At least say so o your website! Travelled from UK would have liked to lit candles for our departed.
Welcoming parish. Energetic and committed priest. Lovely choir and chanter.
I spent a whole year in New York and enjoyed the cathedral services almost every Sunday. Thanks a lot for being there and make us feel like Greece. Father John Vlachos is extremely active and truly cares for every member of church family. I wish the web link for live services could work and give us the opportunity to share cathedral's life while in Greece...
A beautiful neighborhood church that's easy to get to if you are in town for conventions at the Javits center.
