Dr. Huffman is a fantastic doctor and genuinely caring person. I have been a patient for many years. He takes time to explain procedures and treatments.

Dr. Huffman is a very intelligent and remarkable pain management doctor. He takes whatever time is needed to thoroughly explain your diagnosis, treatment plan(s) and effects your condition may have on all aspects of your body and life. The doctor I saw before him left me scarred with his treatment and bed side manner. He told me there was one way to do things when in fact that is not true. I am so very thankful that I found my way to Dr. Huffman because he treats you individually and not just as a number in his practice. He and his wonderful staff really care about the patients and their wellbeing. That is very apparent in their tone and actions. The staff are all warm and welcoming and definitely try to accommodate you in anyway they can. I recommend him to anyone needing pain management treatment where you are an active participant in your care. You will never regret choosing this practice.

If you are looking for a Pain Management Specialist look no further! Interventional Pain and Regenerative Medicine Specialists of Virginia is the practice to go to and Dr Talal Ghazal is your guy! My husband has been in excruciating pain for over a week due to a recurring sciatic back pain episode. It was determined he needs an epidural injection but the specialist we went to can not administer an injection until the second week in June. Additionally, our son is getting married that week. My husband is managing his pain with pain medication and a muscle relaxer but can not wait this long. Our primary care physician recommended this group. We were scheduled for initial consultation yesterday. The staff is amazing! I initially called on Friday 5/13 and spoke to the medical assistant Kathy Tran. Kathy asked how my husband was and how I was. She said she knows that being a caregiver can take a toll. Wow!!! I made quite a few calls to other offices in search of someone who can help my husband. Not one person asked how my husband or I were doing. Kathy was pleasant and accommodating and responded promptly to all of my questions. She listened attentively and provided their fees, code numbers for insurance reimbursements, etc. She even asked if my husband was on blood thinners as patients would have to stop blood thinner medications prior to the procedure (3 days in my husband case). Dr. Ghazal's office will submit a claim on our behalf. I shared the information with my husband that evening. They do not take insurance but after contacting the insurance and finding out the benefit coverage details, we decided it was worth it. I called Saturday morning to schedule the appointment. The office manager Dalal Atef expected my call and knew my name. She asked how my husband was doing and congratulated us on the upcoming wedding. We were scheduled for Saturday, 5/14. YES!!! same day!!! The office manager Dalal Atef helped us understand what we needed to complete and/or provide prior to the appointment. Dr. Ghazal reviewed my husband medical records prior to our appointment . He took his time with us answering all of our questions during the initial consultation. He provided clear and easy to understand information. My husband will have the injection administered on 5/19. We have the utmost confidence in Dr. Ghazal and look forward to this Thursday. This is what patient care should look like!!! There are not enough words to describe how we feel about Dr. Ghazal. He really cares!!! The best saying to summarize our experience is:"In the absence of value, cost matters!" This practice delivers an abundance of value!!!

I have now been a patient of Dr. Huffman for about six months. He implanted a pain stimulator in me in early Nov '21 and he is now in the process of slowly getting my body used to tolerate the new drug (Dilaudid or Hydromorphone). He is very thorough with his explanations and seems to truly care about his patients, inquiring about you and your family to more fully assess your situation. There is never the sense of hurry to get you 'out of there'. I am impressed and satisfied with the care I am receiving and believe that if you are considering a pain stimulator that you will do well consulting with Dr. Huffman.

Doctor Huffman has treated me for pain problems for many years. He is terrific at treating all my pain ailments. Also, he is extremely understanding, friendly, and caring. He is one of the best physicians, if not the best doctor, that has treated me in all my many years of seeing doctors. I totally trust him.

His staff and office manager are very friendly and go out of their way to please me.

This doctor listens!! I have found that a rare quality in doctors, especially male ones. Dr. Huffman took the time to answer our questions and seems to be genuinely interested in his patients. The staff is very warm and friendly. Altho I have only been to the office twice, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Huffman if you are looking for a pain management doctor.

Dr Ghazal is amazing. He listens to his patients, analyzes test results, uses physical exams, and his brilliant knowledge to address the problem. I drive about an hour and 15 minutes to see him. I am confident in his care and admire his compassion. I would drive even further if I had to, just receive such high quality competent car.
