We had no problem with the process of getting a unit. The storage area and walkways are clean and free of obstacles.
The only reason we stopped renting was the $40.00 monthly increase notice after three months of renting. That was unacceptable.

I had a wonderful experience finding a storage unit thanks to Tonya Sutton. She really made things move fast and easy for me.

Every time we have visited to take totes to storage or pick up, the crew at Extra Space Storage has been awesome. I had a question today regarding our storage space and Mike did an awesome job working with me on a solution. Our storage area is always neat and clean and all of the crew we've dealt with have been friendly and very helpful.

Tonya is great, it is clean, and the security of your belongings is on point besides that, I am giving this in particular storage one star and would give them less for how greedy they are. They will randomly go up on the rates, I am paying 201.00/ month for a 10×10. If late they will blow up your phone, send text messages and send emails back to back. I had to ask them multiple times to please stop calling so much or I will get them for harassment. I have used multuple storages, in multiple states, for years at a time and I like to say that I am the storage Queen. However, this is by far the worst in cost comparison , also the auction dates come up a lot quicker then any other storage
I've been with, they will not work with you, if your auction day is coming soon, they will want every penny of their outrageous charges that they are asking or your things will go straight to auction. I will never store with them again. If you or anyone you know are looking for an AFFORDABLE storage with reasonable pricing that you can have access to after hours , will not constantly change the rates, does not have high late fees on both the storage unit and the insurance, will work with you on payments and or auction dates, Is available when needed and generally shows care and concern for the customers not just their money, then this is not your place. Honestly speaking. I hate to speak down on any business. My wish is for them to get better with these things for the sake of their customers. This is my experience. Everyone is different especially due to circumstances. Hope this helps. Thanks for your time.

This Extra Space facility is very clean, with great employees who really understand the stress of moving. They were flexible & work with me every step of the way. I really appreciate them. Don't hesitate to use this location in Monroe, NC.

Management was friendly and easy to deal with. The facility was clean and well kept. Got into my unit on an internet special and after two months the price doubled. Was informed that it would continue to increase every three months. Took my business elsewhere.

Mike his staff are doing a phenomenal job and treat the customers with the upmost respect! My family and I needed a few storage units due to an unfortunate house fire we endured not long ago, and from the time I stepped in the store Mike showed compassion to our situation and accommodated us to the best of his ability! The process was quick and easy and they look to help in any way the possibly can! A I wouldn’t recommend any other storage facility in the Monroe area just due to great customer service, price, a cleanliness of the facility! Unit was clean and well-lighted upon arrival. Ours was a short term rental due to move. We wanted to store family heirlooms too dear to trust to movers. Two months later, we ended our rental. Very smooth exit complete with a VERY timely confirming email from Extra Space manager. Highly recommended.

Tonya Sutton is an awesome worker and makes sure she helps you out with your needing and the units are very clean and she is very respectful hard worker and a lay back person

David Tapia was very professional, and polite. Every question was answered thoroughly.
The business is also very clean. I’m absolutely satisfied with my experience. I like feeling like I can sleep at night knowing my personal belongings will be kept safe and secure. And extras space storage provided that.

They close at 9 pm. I need 24-hour access to my stuff.

We probably went to that place a dozen times at least. They had dollys available like twice. Even when there was no one else in the building. Pain in the butt to move everything by hand or bring your own hand truck.

They charged me another month’s worth of storage after I moved out of my space two days early and notified them well in advance and specifically made sure that I would not get charged another month. It took 2 phone calls and 2 online chat sessions to get them to refund the charge. Then, I come to find they’re sending a check that will take 6-8 weeks to arrive (and, obviously, they didn’t even bother to check that they had the right address on file). So, I have to wait 1-2 months to get MY money back for an error THEY made.

Spend your money somewhere else.

Crystal is absolutely the best. She helped me find the perfect size and what I need to pack up. If it hadn't been for her I would have gone elsewhere. Thanks again Crystal !!

Love the pricing by square foot that they have and the easy access. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great storages as areas.

The fact that you are paying this place to store your items and that you can’t access your unit at your convenience is ridiculous!!! What happens if you are in the middle of moving stuff in or out and the doors lock you out?!? Extra Space this needs to be changed!!! The Mike was very nice and helpful and facility was clean..it was nothing against the Monroe location itself just that we can access our belongings at our convenience.

After 5 years sad to say but I'm moving and if you want a calm place to store your belongings this is the best place in monroe no doubt about it the owner of this place was so good to me that I cant be more thankful and grateful for the time I store my stuff here.....great place great place

We have been a customer for a few years and have been very happy with this facility. The grounds are very clean and well maintained and the hallways are always clear of debris with all lights in good working order. Recently we changed ownership on this unit and Darlene really was helpful in making the transaction an easy one. Darlene has always been very helpful in answering any questions I might have and is prompt to return my calls if I have to leave a message. We have never had any problems with the gate either, something that has been problematic at other storage companies. I feel the property is safe and secure and really appreciate Darlene's continued assistance.
