Great food options, lift tickets are much more reasonably priced than Whistler. Friendly staff, the lifts and gondolas are all nice. The mountain is incredible skiing and very big. Even though there can be a lot of people the slopes don't feel crowded. Well worth the drive.
Beginners BEWARE! The green trails here are for “advanced beginners” I would say. I write this review from my “beginner/sporadic skier” point of view. The magic carpet is great and actually has a pretty nice area, you can take a second magic carpet for a longer run. After that the “easiest” green is easy street which starts out pretty flat but then it becomes somewhat steep. It merges with the last part of an advanced run, so go figure lol. It’s doable and we enjoyed it a lot but would not even try the other greens which I’ve been told are even a little more difficult. I liked it because it was a challenge for me and I think it helped me progress but some people may find it overwhelming.
The service however is great, the staff is super friendly and well organized. The views are breathtaking. Overall a great experience.
Oh! They offer a “progression” pass which includes only the magic carpet and easy street. You can upgrade it later (paying the difference) if you find easy street too easy for you. I probably should have done that.
The mountain is amazing. The service is well organized. We spend half a day trying different runs and nothing got repetitive. The views are so beautiful you just want to stop and admire.Next time definitely a full day for this awesome ski resort.
I'm from the US but I've also been to a few resorts in British Columbia including Whistler.

That being said this resort blew me away in terms of views, ski able areas, fast/high lifts, and especially... short lines! It's probably the best resort I've ever been to so far.

Parking can get a little bit unwieldy and there's spots on the road for a while but you might have to walk a short distance.
I was disappointed! All the ads suggested that I’d have a great chance of seeing wildlife, especially grizzly bears and I didn’t see any bears. Not even a deer. I saw a squirrel and a gray Jay. It was a beautiful ride though and the scenery was spectacular. The Wildlife Interpretive Center was great and even offered free coffee and hot chocolate. The restaurant at the main building was fair. I had a burger there. Had to wait a while for it. There’s a lovely gift shop. There’s supposed to be a restaurant at the top but it was closed.
Ski resort is awesome. The log building are extraordinary. Took a gondola up the mountain for views, saw 2 bears. Nice gravel trails, bear fencing, great view platform. Unfortunately the bistro and deck were closed for the season. Would recommend.
Breathtaking views and overall a great experience! I've been here multiple times, but this is the first time we caught the golden hour colours of the mountains reflecting on the calm lake. It was such a wonderful moment. Make sure to arrive early to get a praking spot! This is absolutely priceless!!!
On our recent trip to Lake Louise, we decided to take the Lake Louise Gondola ride. We were pleasantly surprised to find free return transport from Lake Louise village to the Gondola which was prompt and comfortable.

You enter via the Ski Lodge which in itself is a great visitor attraction. It has all the charm you would expect with a great café, visitor shop and friendly welcoming staff.

The ride to the top of the Gondola was comfortable with full panoramic views over the lakes and mountains but the best part of the view was the grizzly bear we spotted casually munching his was along the slopes.

At the top there is a great interpretive centre that has animal exhibits and information on the local area and history. There are several hiking trails at the top that aren't too strenuous and deliver top class views, there are also plenty of picnic areas to enjoy the pristine wilderness when you’re at the top.

Overall if you are visiting Lake Louise in summer, you should really give the gondola a visit.
