Had a wonderful trip on the Gasters Food tour! Avery was our wonderful guide! The tour was educational and a lot of fun. Would highly recommend and will absolutely check out the ghost tour on the next trip to Chicago!
Avery was our guide and he was amazing! He was so knowledgeable and had great way of telling the stories. Time flew by for the tour and there was a bathroom break which was nice. Would definitely recommend this tour and if you can request Avery!
So glad a group of four of us decided to take this tour. Joseph was our guide and he did a great job making the tour both interesting and engaging. He also did a great job of speaking loudly and clearly, pausing when loud noises would have otherwise drowned him out. As multi-time visitors to the city, it was really awesome to get some history about the things we’ve walked past many times.
I had a wonderful tour with Avery. He’s considerate and knowledgeable. I got so many stories to dig into. Chicago is beautiful at night, and it felt safer to walk with a group of people. Recommend it!
Great tour around very interesting places. Guide Avery left no question unanswered. Real cool guy! His English is very good understandable, also for non-natives.
Absolutely Highly Recommend take the tour with Avery. I had the tour today with him and it was incredibly amazing!!!!! Definitely one of the highlights of my Chicago trip!!! He is pretty supportive protective and friendly. He ensured everyone hear the stories clearly and his storytelling is very easy to follow and understand. I am very happy I decided to take this tour so I got to know not about the interesting histories behind Chicago. I definitely will bring my friends and parents for this tour. Thanks again and shout out to Avery I loved this tour!!!!
This tour was absolutely amazing! Karinna’s personality and story telling abilities made every minute of the tour worth it while in the rainy weather. Definitely recommend this tour to any tourist or Chicago residents! Great job Karinna, we loved you!

I was looking for a charter bus for a group outing and United Bus was wonderful! Jana helped with pricing and scheduling. She answered all my questions in a flash! Jana was so easy to work with. On the day of our event Willian, our driver, showed up 5 minutes early, was friendly and professional and most importantly - a safe driver! We were very pleased.

I found this organization great to deal with. Reservation of service was easy, clear, and answers provided promptly. Driver supplied, Octavian, arrived promptly and was a pleasure to deal with. Definitely would use them again. Thanks Jana
So glad I found United Bus! We rented a bus to take us to a local concert and the whole process was super seamless and easy! The driver arrived early, got us there early & the bus in general was super clean! Our driver, Moe, also had very clear communication where to find him after the concert - which was very nice since this part can be super hectic in a big city!

Anyway, I’d definitely recommend this company to anybody!
We’re visiting from Denver, CO so we were looking for something to do on a short weekend. Thankfully our tour guide was Avery. As a tourist, I didn’t navigate downtown Chicago the best so I was a bit late. Thankfully Avery called me, made sure I knew where to go, and helped me catch up to the group. He was lively, educated, outgoing, and kind. If you have two hours to spare, I would definitely attend this tour. Was so informative and fun! Thanks again Avery, we loved our tour. ☺️
We recently hired United Bus for transportation to/from the United Center for a Blackhawks game. We ordered four buses to accommodate about 200 people between hotel and venue location. The drivers were fantastic, and we felt they went above and beyond to ensure passengers were transported efficiently, safely and warmly. The lead driver (Moe) was exceptional and you could tell he had a personal vested interest in making sure everything went smoothly. Highly recommend United Bus for transportation around the Chicago area.
I highly recommend this company for transportation needs. They were very prompt and they have impeccable communication from letting me know when the buses were on the way, once they arrived, and when they completed the drop offs. I was also provided a direct number to the driver to make coordination of the pick-ups easy. I would like to recognize our driver, William, as being amazing to work with, extremely communicative and accomodating and very professional. He was early along with the driver of our second bus and made sure everything ran smoothly. He braved the terrible weather with us and got everyone to and from our event safe and sound! Thank you William and United Bus for everything!

Very professional service. They run a clean operation with the newest and latest model buses. Booked them for 2 corporate events, chauffeur showed up early and very well dressed. Route taken was very efficient. The bus was brand new 2023 and exceptionally clean. Will definitely be using for all my corporate events in Chicago. Highly recommended!
We did both the River Architecture Cruise and the Lake View Cruise. Our guide on the architecture cruise, Jim, was very informative and entertaining. We originally just booked the architecture cruise and at the end they said we could add the lake cruise for an additional $16. Later in the day we just happened to be near Navy Pier and decided to check out the lake cruise. It turns out it was only $5 for some reason. What a deal.
our tour guide Tori was incredibly talented, she kept has entertained, and shared so much fun facts about the buildings. it didnt feel like an hour your at all! it was great and i highly recommend it<3

Definitely a highlight of our trip! The tour guide was great. We took the 5:30 ride when it was dark out and the city looked magical. Our ship was pretty empty, which made things feel more personal. Definitely dress warm if you are in a colder month!

Brooke (sp?) Did a wonderful job on this tour. I have no idea how she can remember all those details about all those buildings she described. This cruise is well worth the money. Make the time and do it if you're visiting Chicago.
Very nice trip with friendly staff. The guide is very knowledgeable about architectures around the canal, I'm impressed that there are so many stories behind Chicago. The whole landscape is very stunning, however, I wouldn't recommend it if it's too cold, try to make good wind production before boarding, and don't get up the cruise without Sunglasses.
This river cruise was very interesting we heard about the history of the architectural of these beautiful buildings very interesting these are just a few pictures
The bread was really hard, the ravioli was a little under done, but the flavor was great. The waitress Heather was so great and the experience was the best. We have done a few other boat rides by the same company and this was by far the best. Blake was very polite and friendly. He made sure to keep our water glasses full.
Enjoyed the Architectural River tour. Tory our docent was very enthusiastic, humorous and knowledgeable about the architectural history of Chicago. Would love to do this again on a nice clear day to better see the reflection off the glass buildings.
This was a great way to ease into Chicago! After a long flight, we didn’t have the energy for a walking tour or museum so this was a perfect alternative. It was a great way to see the city’s famous architecture, and our tour guide was entertaining and informative. Highly recommend!
The cruise itself was on a beautiful night.
However...incredibly pricey. We were kind of shocked. Dinner cruise on a Saturday (non-fireworks because they were over for the season) was roughly $180/adult. Buffet ran out fairly quickly, so pile it up your first pass through. Because there may not be any left of that favorite item if you try to go back. Drinks were not included.
My cousins ordered cocktails. I stick with bottled drinks when the bartending skills are unknown. So, I ordered a bottle of wine.
Each of them hated their cocktails. So, they all drank my wine. I had to order another bottle.
Two bottles of wine + tax/grat cost me another $167.
So - for just me alone (given I paid for the wine), cost me $347.
One of my cousins paid for the cocktails they didn't drink. I have no clue what his bill was.
I will also say, I swung by the bar later and ordered a Bulleit Bourbon on the rocks. Said "excuse me" to the bartender 3-times because he was glued to his phone texting (yes - behind the bar).
The bourbon was perhaps all of a 1 - 1-1/2 ounce pour and cost $17.
So, make that $347 - $364 instead 😒
Great cruise and an incredible, beautiful, and breathtaking view! My partner and I took our cruise aboard the Spirit of Chicago, and the entire cruise was an absolutely unforgettable night. I highly recommend taking your partner on this cruise with the added romance package. Also they where very transgender friendly!!!

This was probably the best and most informative tourist thing that we did while here in Chicago. Our tour guide, Joe, was very knowledgeable and provided a plethora of information on the buildings in town while making it fun. I learned some great things about the architecture and design of the buildings. The ride itself was very smooth. They do have a bar and bathroom downstairs (on the boat we were on). Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to explore Chicago.
We had such a wonderful time for our 15 year anniversary ❤️. The package came with a window sear guaranteed and a starter meal an meal and desert. We had Sam as our server made the experience sp much better. The host when around asking if anyone wanted a shout out, for us it was 15 years married they announced it and people cheered us on 🍾🎊. The view was perfect 🥰 at around 10 30 we went to the deck there was an aritist playing soft fun music, shoetly after we saw the fire works 🎆🎇, and by 11pm we came back down stairs to the dance floor and the desert table was waiting for us. Overall I had a great experience experience, they carrie a bar, the washrooms are clean and there is a changing table for babies.

Great staff- we actually came here by mistake when we got mixed up with which company our prepaid boat tour tickets were through. We were going to miss the tour at the correct place because there was no way to make it there in time, but these guys were awesome and let us go on their cruise! They said it happens a lot and the cruises all reciprocate the favor, but they certainly did not have to at all.

The cruise itself was great and the docent was extremely knowledgeable and interesting. I was totally mesmerized and lost track of time- no idea how he crammed that much info in!

We had a lovely time!
The cruise was great, food was really good. However we got the ticket for the air show and the ship went back to dock exactly when all the planes came out and the view was blocked by the dock buildings. 30 min later docking would have made it perfect, especially since the tickets were specifically priced higher for the air show!
I really enjoyed this cruise and so did the 20 people I brought. Everyone was surprised with how good the food was. Staff was great and the views were top notch! You can go on the top deck with drinks and nice outdoor furniture to enjoy the views. They do have a dance floor and DJ on 1st floors
Price is steep but certainly worth it if you go at the right time. Thus is the architecture cruise which is 90 mins and goes through town on the river. It doesn't go out to the lake. Please keep in mind that there is a tour guide speaking the entire time explaining the different buildings and their history. Very informative!!

We booked this company because of its positive Google reviews and it was all true. On our day of our excursion, we wanted to do an earlier excursion and to our surprise, they were able to accommodate us so this was the first plus! Then once we’re on the boat, there were complementary non-alcoholic drinks and our guide Ed was very warm and knowledgeable. The tour started on time and lasted for 90 minutes. Learned Chicago history and architecture designs. All in all, it was a good time and glad we did it with this company. Highly recommended if you want to learn about Chicago’s downtown architecture.
Don't waste your money on this overpriced boat ride. We paid $500 plus for 3 people. We paid extra for window seats and four drink tickets. I've been on dinner cruises before so I was expecting a wonderful meal, excellent service and beautiful boat. The views were nice, but I could have sat on a rooftop for less. Or I could have rented a personal smaller boat.
1) The boat was rinky dink. Old supplies and rusting kitchen equipment was out in the open. The floors and windows looked dirty. I wore heels and I was constantly worried about tripping on the small ladder leading to the roof.
2) The atmosphere was lame. The music was pretty boring. There's no music playing outside the boat so it's really quiet. There was dancefloor, but no DJ? We also went on a Thursday.
3) Our waiter was ok, but the rest of the staff was slightly rude and unprofessional.
4) Everything is a buffet which kind of sucked. I've paid less on dinner cruises where the staff served us. We were able to get in line first. But everyone else had to wait in a long line, staring at us while we ate.
5) The drinks were ok. But even though we paid for the drink tickets, we couldn't get anything off the menu. Just regular bar drinks.
Don't waste your time or money! The 90-minute Architecture tour is better!
The 1 star is for the experience.. we paid about $300 only for our cruise to be cancelled and no one had bothered to reach out and tell us we had to ask around other ships.. then they placed us on a random ship with completely different food options. Is was not the buffet we were expecting. Service from the waiter was great though

I would like to thank United Bus Lines for supplying us with a comfortable and clean 55-passenger bus and a friendly and professional driver, William, that made our trip to Silvis, IL phenomenal!
We departed and arrived safely to and from our destinations.
I will definitely utilize your services in the future and recommend you as a reliable, safe, friendly, and professional company.
What an amazing time! My mom and I booked a dinner cruise on the Spirit of Chicago. I would definitely do this again. Checking in was a breeze and our table was perfect with a water view and close to the dance floor. The food WAS amazing!! I totally surprised at how good it was. The staff is so down to earth and there to make you experience great. I cannot recommend this enough!
Ship was a bit dated, but overall fun experience. The crew was very helpful, The music was good, it would have been nice if they had put furniture on the top deck so that we could enjoy the views from up there. Unfortunately there was nothing up there. The entire cruise was a good amount of time and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would certainly go back and try another one.
Booked the architectural cruise to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. Upon boarding we were led to our table adorned with a rose petaled heart which was a nice touch. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, and the architectural commentary was both informative and humorous. We had a wonderful time and felt very special. 100% recommend this cruise!!!
Loved the architecture cruise! Very knowledgeable guide, informative and fun. We did the 10am, free coffee was good and plentiful. Sit on upper deck near the ramp for great views.
A splendid way to experience the rivers and diverse architecture of the city. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and it added to the experience. This is a great way to see the city and it’s definitely a must do.
This was a fun cruise. We went in the middle of the day, but it's like to take one of their evening cruises.
Great tour. Staff was very knowledgeable about the Chicago architecture and history of the city.
Plus, the served drinks on board.
Had a great time with the family. Staff was welcoming and attentive, drinks and meal were excellent. It was a memorable experience. Would do it again!
We had our wedding reception on the Odyssey Chicago River and they completed exceeded my expectations. The service, food, décor set up, ambiance, and overall execution of our plan was absolutely perfect. We couldn't have asked for a more unique and fun venue that our guests will never forget.

I personally highly suggest any first time Chicago visitors to try the cruise. One of the best experience I've had. The guide was very informative (former civil engineering student) who was extremely passionate about architecture & buildings. All the pictures are taken from the tour!
What a wonderful experience! The breeze off the water made it a perfect night to enjoy a August Summer on the Chicago River! Every moment on the boat was great. The customer service of the staff was exceptional. The food was amazing and the view was phenomenal. Definitely something I enjoyed during my trip to Chicago.
The experience was amazing! We were there to celebrate my husbands birthday so we did the first class option with premium bar and it was perfect and worth every penny. We had a beautiful table in the back next to the window so we had a gorgeous view of the city the entire time. Tiadora was our server and she was perfect, I believe the young man helping her was named Sed. Both were very attentive, professional, and every service attendant on the boat wished my husband a happy birthday. The food was wonderful and the drinks were delicious. It was one of our favorite experiences together! I would happily do it again.

You did not visit Chicago if you did not get a ride across its river! The tour ticket office are very friendly and their tour guides are very nice and informative, they will mainly speak about the history of the city, the story behind its marvelous buildings and the ideas that pushed the engineers to put the designs of the buildings in their current architecture. I would highly recommend the tour in the river, you get to know a lot about the City of Wind.
