Excellent music festival experience here during the peak of summer. Although it was hot in the venue there were workers who held fans at the side to help ravers cool off. Free water cups at the bar were also great too!

We had our staff outing for CEFA Calgary South here a little while back! We all had a terrific time.
The place was so much fun. It helped us bond as a group.
The place feels like a mini vacation!

Beach YYC is a fantastic place to have fun! I’d barely played vball before and I got hooked. I love playing and everyone there is so friendly and fun! I highly recommend trying it out!

We put in a brand new team this spring season for volleyball and had the best time! The music was great, environment was fun and energetic, were able to play some great volleyball (for people who haven’t played in many years), will definitely participate again.

Love the option of playing beach volleyball indoors all year round! Love the Tiki Bar and food options for those byes and breaks! The owners/staff really seem to care about players feedback and ensuring that players have a good experience!

This hidden gem was amazing for my daughters surprise birthday party! The events coordinators helped facilitate games for all ages and after that the kids had free play. They didn’t want to leave the kids had so much fun. The staff were all amazing and so helpful. All our guests had a great time! I highly recommend this venue for any occasion to get people active while having fun!

The beach yyc has created a wonderful supportive community for youth and adults who love the sport of beach volleyball. If your new or advanced you feel welcomed. Highly recommend!

Always have a blast performing at the palace.
Looking forward to g forward to my next EDM gig there.
Attended an Alestorm concert at The Palace Theatre and it was an unforgettable experience. The venue's historic charm adds to the atmosphere, with fantastic sound quality and mesmerizing visuals, especially the illuminated pillars. Fast lines and friendly staff made the night smooth. Can't wait for more shows here!

Honestly, I have mized feelings about this place. It would be good for dance oriented music performances, but isn't good for chill shows. It really has club vibes and not much seating or table space. I was not super impressed with the shows I've been to so far. It definitely has a club atmosphere, but it doesn't fit the vibes of some of the artists they book. Expect to stand the entire show if you go here.

From an accessibility perspective this is a great and accommodating venue. It was really hard to get in touch with them to confirm they had accessible seating, but once I did I felt comfortable attending a show here and was pleasantly surprised with how good of a spot it actually was.

The accessible seating is at a counter, they provide stools if you are not in a wheelchair but need to sit. They rope off the area so you + your party are the only ones who can access it.

The ramp they use to access the main floor is a bit steep and a bit narrow, but it works.

Attached is the view, seated, from the wheelchair/accessible spot on the main floor.

**It is also possible to stay anywhere on the main floor in a wheelchair, rollator, cane etc. There are booths toward the back of the venue to sit at, and there are multiple counters that you can park a wheelchair at where people will be mindful of you. The only places not accessible are the pit (two steps down) and the mezzanine which is a flight of stairs up.
We had a great time at Block Heater. Venue security were accommodating and professional and made the first and last interactions along with all the ones in the middle with us enjoyable and memorable. What a great way to be welcomed to a great night of love music!
I LOVE venues this size •Super friendly staff •GREAT sound •Tiered main floor down to the stage area •Large balcony area on the 2nd floor with awesome views of anything that matters •Excellent view from almost everywhere •Limited but nice seating and booths with table options if desired •As well as a decent amount of room on the floor upfront •Bar areas for drinks.
Great time - EVERYTIME!
Glad places like this still exist🤘
Thank you 〽️

I like the Palace for the most part. The crowd can be a bit rowdy depending on the show. I think they could do a better job on the lighting for some of the shows, it’s too bright. The sound is not amazing but it’s not bad. The N/A options for drinks are pretty weak, it’s 2023, not everyone wants to consume alcohol. The place honestly has a lot of potential if they would make a few thoughtful tweaks. Doesn’t really matter though because as one of the main venues for music acts in town, I’ll end up here.

Our son’s wedding was at the Waterfront Park Apr. 29th, it was absolutely amazing. The location is breathtaking even in early Spring, just imagine how stunning it will be in the summer…. Also included with the rental of the location is full set up and take down. The flowers were absolutely amazing. The staff from start to finish were so amazing, very responsive, very accommodating, and showed that they really care and want the best for their customers. I only added a picture of the brides bouquet as all of our other pictures have our guests in them, so sadly am not able to add any of the pictures to show how beautiful everything was set up for our son and now wife’s wedding day. The whole time there was magical. Everyone that attended was so impressed. Thank you

It's an excellent place to have the kid's birthday party. It's fun for them to play in the sand, the staff it's friendly, and they have activities for the kids. Also suitable for playing sand volleyball indoors. There's no water. It's only a giant sandbox. Recommended.

I don't leave reviews but this deserves a
shoutout as it was my brothers wedding
one that means almost more to me then
my own. The staffs professionalism was
disappointing, a rude and very lazy
attitude to do the minimum. I have been
part of many beautiful weddings and it
seemed like this was their first attempt
at hosting one. I would recommend
planning a wedding by yourself before
choosing Waterfront Park, you'll find
yourself disappointed and robbed for a
night that happens once in your life.

I visited the place during the Playa Patron event. The space was limited and they could have more tables available. That would have allowed everyone to eat at a table and not carry plates around when you have a drink and a purse with you. The music was great, but considering most guests were 30-40+ could have been adjusted a bit!

Venue Al-Azhar Shriners was nice for our daughters wedding. Staff and service were great. The only issue was the steps from the main building that leads to actual waterfront need some serious repair. Out daughters veil kept getting caught in the very rough and unkept steps causing some tense moments for the bride to be!

I cannot recommend Waterfront Parks enough. Peter and Jade went well above and beyond, helping us plan a short notice wedding (we booked less than three months prior to the date in an effort to minimize covid related changes), navigating trying times, and providing unparalleled service. Jade is even pictures in our wedding photos adjusting my dress prior to walking down the isle, and Peter met us on the limo bus to help "hide" me from the guests prior to the service. They were like family throughout the process and I honestly don't think we would have pulled off the wedding of our dreams without them. The venue is stunning, location is ideal, the food was delicious (and catered to all sorts of weird dietary issues), and the decor was spot on. If you're thinking about booking waterfront parks with simply elegant, stop thinking and book it. You won't regret it!

This place is possibly one of the most romantic, beautiful and serene venue in Calgary. When you're in there you can help but feel overwhelmingly calm and combine with perfect setting and decor it made every occasion unforgettable.

And that's what we were looking for our Organization 3rd Anniversary celebration. We choose the tent venue in front of the lake, and it was perfect. We couldn't be any happier. Nothing can beat festive and nature, and I understand sometimes its hard to pulled a five stars experience outdoor, but not here!

The venue that they have is amazing, parking was not an issue because they have large parking area, they have a lot amenities and its easy to get there as well.

Overall it was a great experience we have at the Waterfront Park with Simply Elegant Corporation. Thank you!

Cool and unique space! Pretty centrally located and plenty of parking outside. Went here for a friend’s birthday gathering on a Saturday afternoon - there was probably about 20 of us and we used 2 courts for a few games of volleyball and some Spike Ball, which they provide all the equipment for. There were a few tables for spectating and cubbies for your things just off the court. Was a little cold inside, but you warm up quickly as you start playing. The court area looked like it could use a bit more TLC in terms of finishing, but not a huge deal. Would love to go back again, as the staff at the front mentioned they do a kids free play a few times in the week.
