Great sushi bar/ hibachi place. Second time coming back, this time Jessica took care of our table and she was amazing!!! crazy monkey roll was our favorite roll and wife loved the Shiso Naughty drink was 🔥
We had been coming here since they first opened…the food quality and service was definitely much better in the beginning but Yoshi always remained our go to for Shabu. Unfortunately this will no longer be the case. The last few visits we had here were disappointing. After Covid, like with many restaurants we noticed they did downgrade the quality of their offerings. For example, the vegetables went from a large plate overflowing with Napa cabbage, enoki mushrooms, spinach, etc. Now the vegetables are given in a small bowl and no longer include enoki mushroom. We understand that the economy is different and changes have to be made to ensure businesses can still thrive. The vegetables are supposed to be unlimited but after asking for a second portion at our last visit we kept getting the run around by every employee, no less than 5 ppl including the owner. They kept telling us that they had unfortunately ran out and someone was in the back prepping them. After waiting over 30min for our veggie refill we finally gave up and wrapped up our meal w/o them. We just figured it was bad luck/timing until we noticed that all the tables around us had been given veggies. If you ran out, how is it possible everyone else who came after had plenty? If the cost to give unlimited veggies is keeping you from providing them, why not just charge for them? Instead of giving us the run around and leaving us feeling like we did not get the full satisfactory meal that we paid for? Even after leaving our last few visits not fully satisfied with the customer service we were given, we still gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to book a birthday dinner here this past weekend. Knowing we would have a big party, we booked the private room one week in advance. They contacted us twice during the week to confirm, which we did. Then on the day of the party someone called 30min before our reservation to say that we could not have the private room anymore and would have to sit out in the regular dining room. There was no apology or explanation. Just simply the owner gave it to someone else. If the room was not available, why were we contacted twice during the week to confirm and no one said anything about it not being available? If for some reason the room was double booked, they should’ve handled the situation with more empathy and customer service. But instead they gave the impression they did not care if we came or not. So we told them to go ahead and cancel the reservation and took our party elsewhere. There are far too many other establishments out there that provide better customer service and value their patrons money and time.
I wanted to gag as soon as I walked in. It smelled horrendous. Think of dirty sewer water. I’m honestly surprised I didn’t just walk out, but my we were hungry and really wanted to try some okonomiyaki, so we hoped the smell would go away.
It didn’t.
We ordered the Katsu curry and the okonomiyaki. Both were, I’d say, mediocre. We were there for my birthday. They give you a free ice cream on your birthday, but I couldn’t even stand it enough more for that.
And pray you don’t have to go to the restroom while you’re there.

RA sushi is located at the Shops of Legacy. I ordered the crispy calamari sushi as well as the yellowtail hamachi sashimi. The sashimi was a little bland, but I really enjoyed the crispy calamari sushi! It came with a sweet sauce that complimented it nicely. I would come back here again.
I walked in with my partner who has never tried ramen before, they absolutely loved this experience. The service was impeccable. Even though the two staff members were busy, they offered the quickest service with kindness sprinkled in every single interaction.
The food was flavorful and was absolutely something to remember. Give this place a try if you’re in the area.

I have been coming to RA SUSHI for YEARS. I hate to report that the service at Plano has SUCKED. HOWEVER...I must admit that I had a phenomenal efforts waitress today. No. She didn't bribe me to make this post. She was just that good. TWALLIA was excellent!! She checked on me several times throughout my food experience. She didn't get anything wrong on my order which is RARE. She had several tables and to my surprise... handled my table as if we were the only table there. Seriously...Twallia did her thing. Thank you so much for an AMAZING night. ~TLYNN
The owner, Josh, is beyond amazing. He’s so caring and friendly that he makes you feel like part of his family. He always ensures things are kept clean, organized and delicious. As a fellow business owner, I know how much hard work and dedication goes into running a successful team and business. My family and I will forever support Yoshi because they bring us a taste of Japan and give us an amazingly friendly experience from start to finish. It also helps that the food is awesome. Went in hoping for a quick takeout option for my lunch break, was very happy! I got the lunch special, subbed salad for soup and it's Delicious!
This is one of my favorite Japanese eatery. Great food and ambience. We ordered the Nabeyaki Noodle and the Salmon Teriyaki, they were delicious!

Small unassuming sushi restaurant but they do it right. Competitively priced sushi. Check the menu inn the wall because several are 20% off! Have been here twice. Sushi rolls are big, well packed, taste fresh. I'd recommend getting different flavors because the second time we went, the flavors eventually tasted the same. I liked the "amazing roll" the best so far because of the combination of the sear fish and shrimp tempura. Overall well done sushi restaurant among many in DFW
This is one of my favorite sushi spots in town. I've been going here for years! I appreciate that after all these years, the establishment has not changed the prices much. The portion sizes and quality of the sushi has remained very consistent.
Their food is always fresh, deliciously prepared, and generous for what you pay for. The service is always top notch and place is kept very clean as well. They have great lunch deals!

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Ordered the sushi combo with spicy salmon roll! Not bad for the price! Good service! Will definitely be back. 🤙🏽

Cozy place serving delicious ramen and lots of other options for non-ramen people. I got the shoyu and substituted tofu and it was delicious. Very flavorful with the thick wavy noodles. My son had the tonkatsu and he inhaled the bowl. Highly recommend!
This place is very eye pleasing. I love color and it was full of that. Visited during a time when there wasn’t a lot of traffic, so I was able to sit and eat quietly without feeling rushed due to “table need”. Food was fresh and some selections came with cool presentation. Full bar and friendly staff. Great customer service. Would make a great date night location, and I would love to come back in the evening hours, to see what the ambience is like at that time.

I love this sushi place! Today was my first time going and I’ll definitely be coming back for more!! I can’t stop telling all of my friends and family about it. The people are so friendly and welcoming! The sushi was so good! This place deserves more than 5 stars!!

Decided to eat here after a snack nearby. It's hard to find a place that serves takoyaki and okonomiyaki. The atmosphere was very good and niche.
This place has been going downhill. Ordered curry and chicken katzu set, it took them over 20 mins for the food, while other people behind us with the basically same food got theirs. When I asked them why it was taking so long, it told me it takes time making curry while the chef kept pushing curry dishes out for people ordered after us. Also, the miso soup has no flavor at all, it's too watery. How hard to make miso soup right?
I've been coming to this place for a long time and I love their food. I think I've tried every sushi roll on the menu. It is a simple but nice and clean place.
Great first experience with Japanese hot pot. Staff was extremely helpful explaining the best way to enjoy Shabu Shabu . Recommend anyone want to try out Japanese Shabu Shabu.
Maybe the issue is I just got back from Japan and the fact I was born there but this place was a disappointment. The first was a process issue. They wait to get the whole order complete before they call your number. So my wife's tendon which has fried tempura came out first. By the time we noticed it was on the counter on a tray it had been at least 7 mins. We went up and got it and the tempura had already started cooling off and as you know cold tempura is not tasty. I had the chicken katsudon and unfortunately the chicken was tough. It was palatable and I generally don't return food but I will probably not be back. My miso soup also was served in a bowl that didn't have all the soap washed out of it. Bummer!
My husband has been talking about their poppers for years. We finally made it in, and he was right. The poppers are delicious. The sushi, however, was a little lackluster. It definitely didn't seem as fresh as it could've been. The avocado, for instance - you can see that it's already mushy and browning.

We arrived just after they opened for dinner service, so I can't really justify the condition of the bathrooms by saying customers had trashed it all afternoon. DO NOT COME HERE! I went in for lunch around 1pm on a weekend and there was only 1 other table. Upon seeing the emptiness I should have left but I made the first mistake of sitting down. The second mistake I made was not leaving after seeing the mandatory 18 percent tip added onto EVERY check not just parties of 6 or more. The portions are small and overpriced. Rice was undercooked. Soup was bland and flavorless even though they charge 5 dollars for it. They also charge a 7.50 adult set. I guess it's just free money for the owner to charge customers. Don't waste your time and money here. They paid for all their positive reviews. DO NOT COME HERE!
Some of the best quality sashimi and torro I've had in the North Dallas area. I went in for the ramen, and it was great, but not quite as good as my favorite ramen place in the area. This place is sushi focused, and a decent bowl of miso is on the back of the menu for a reason. The torro and salmon belly won me over instantly! So fresh, clean, and well prepared. I asked for real wasabi, and they brought it right away. The guy behind the bar noticed my appreciation and even brought me a pickled wasabi root as well.
A great place for family or friend gathering! Every dish was so flavorful and tasty. You pretty much can just order off my photos. These are authentic Taiwanese cuisine that you won’t find in any other restaurant in DFW area. Definitely worth of 50 minutes drive to dine here.
Quick and delicious!! Ordered at the kiosks up front. I had the chicken tempura combo, which came with chicken, some lettuce, miso soup, and rice. The chicken was delicious and crispy! Very generous portion size as well.
I also ordered the dashi negi oroshi takoyaki, which was just okay. It came with soup, which made the takoyakis soggy at the bottom. Not the biggest fan because of the texture.

This was my first hot pot experience. The staff was friendly and helpful. They explained the ordering and cooking process and were attentive throughout our meal. It was definitely a great place
So surprised we didnt know about this Sushi place earlier. The food is good, a little bit pricey but it’s worth a try. Super busy at the weekend. I also noticed so many to-go orders.

We were looking for something to grab before heading home but the food needed to be: 1) not heavy,greasy, oily, etc., 2) fairly quick and easy to eat, and 3) NOT expensive; this place delivered on all of these requirements. It's a very tiny sit-down Sushi shop, it's all meant to be quick and easy. They have lunch and dinner meals that will take care of that hunger and all for under $20!! I definitely recommend getting food from here instead of fast food. I'm not giving it 5 stars bc it's the best sushi I ever had, but because it's the only place around that fit these requirements.
We had the garlic edamame, dumplings, egg roll and the fried rice. Everything was great. The one thing I found odd was that I couldn’t substitute steamed rice for white rice, when they’re fried rice on the menu. Server told me to get the bowl with white rice and get a $8 side of fried rice which again, was odd. Overall very good, 5 stars!
First time at ODA and loved it! Had the Las Vegas roll and it was incredible. Serving sizes were big. it’s such a quaint little spot, locally owned, clean, quiet, and comfortable. We dined in, it’s not a huge place but had plenty of seating available. Will def come again!

The price of the sushi here was on the cheaper side compared to other sushi restaurants. The quality of the sushi though... I personally think it can get better. Even the presentation of the sushi was quiet lacking. The service was pretty good and the atmosphere was pretty satisfactory. Since the location is in the heart of downtown Plano, I think it's a good spot for a nice dinner.
My 1st time here and it was a very pleasant experience! The staff was very attentive and sweet. Food arrived quickly and my drink stayed filled. Staff checked on me as needed with smiles on their face. The food was great. I got the ahi tuna tower and the vegetable tempura roll (this roll wasn't on the menu but I asked if they had one). Cost for my meal was $47 after tip. Each roll is around $14 to $22 so a little pricey but the quality is on point. Rolls are big so you don't need to buy more than one and an appetizer. The place is on the smaller side and the booth cushions were not very comfy but the food made up for that. I'll definitely be back.
The best sushi restaurant I’ve visited in DFW. Price to Quality to Service ratio is literally 10/10 ( I’d rate higher if I could ). Food is not only fresh but the recipes have a great taste to them. I’m picky & don’t want to spend a fortune ( unless really worth it ) & Ebesu gives me a chance to have a great dinner and not break the bank. Better than your regular hyped but not high quality sushi places.

Not often amazed but wow, this japanese restaurant is legit. All the staff and chefs were very sincere. Honored to have executive chef Koji make part of our meal. Got the ebesu signature course. Everything was so yummy. Sushi, robata, wagyu on hot stone and more. Great to try a little bit of everything. All the food was fresh and delicious. They had a birthday cake for our special occasion. Highly recommended! Beats out many of the other japanese restaurants in dfw
Absolutely fantastic food and equally fantastic service. I was there pretty late and I ordered a couple complex rolls with a lot of ingredients, but they didn't disappoint. Very fresh, high quality. I'll be going back soon for sure.

It was less than $20 with tip. The dressing on the salad was very yummy! The menu was huge but I didn't have time to browse it all. Service was very prompt and friendly. I did see a table eating some kind of burrito that looked interesting. Maybe next time! 😊

The sushi here was awesome! Thick slabs of fish. The chicken yakitori was delicious as well! Wasn't thrilled with the rice katsu bowl, but I think that's just my own preference, not anything wrong with the food itself. Lastly, service was excellent as well!
I absolutely love this place. And want to recommend to more people. Their omakase is a hidden gem. Every piece is delicious and fresh. The price is very reasonable not overpriced. I will definitely come back again.
We had a large party here for work and it is very yummy! Unlimited veggies and you buy meat to cook in the broth, it is very yummy! The service was great for a large party too! I normally ask for extra carrots and broccoli, definitely a fun experience to show to visiting friends. You cook the meat, then dip it in sauce then scoop up rice with it and eat! You can also have ramen at the end and drink the broth!
The food was amazing! We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The service was great and they made us feel special! We ordered the hamachi crudo (must get!), volcano box roll (delish), and the salmon deluxe roll (surprisingly yummy). Looking forward to our next date night here at Ebesu!

Wonderful! Convenient location right off DNT&Park. Incredible sushi (I got the Alex roll). Pleasant atmosphere - if my boyfriend appreciated sushi this would make a perfect date spot, people watching out the window. The man who greeted me was so sweet and took less than 5 minutes to make my roll. I’ll be back!
It’s a stall inside the supermarket so nothing fancy. There are two options for ordering food here, cash on the counter and credit card on a separate machine. It was very convenient. I had the yakitori and the tonkatsu. The tonkatsu was okay, but you don’t need to travel out of the way to Legacy to try it. The minimum order for yakitori is two sticks (2 pork belly) and can’t be mixed. The yakitori was delish!
Very disappointed in the way the lady at the register treated me I placed a order Togo for chicken fried rice to go at the counter the lady immediately started watching me as if I was there to steal even though I just paid for my food I left not checking my to go order went to work opened It there is literally maybe 7 little pieces of chicken so I went back to show her immediately she starts yelling at me to purchase more chicken even though for the first 5 minutes she never even looked in the bag to check food not one time did she look at my food after her yelling at me and forcing me to take a refund i never asked for i just wanted what i ordered then she refused to give me my TIP back i wouldnt recommend this place and yes i took pictures no i didn't eat a bite and she kept refusing to let me speak to anyone else but her she kept saying she was the owner I believe that was a lie along with her saying her name was grace I truly doubt it.... update she went to my CC and added herself a bigger tip
I was ready to order with the cashier, but they were a bit rude when they told me to order from the iPad on the side. The spicy chicken katsu curry was good, but I the amount of chicken was half of what was in the picture. Overall, flavor was good, but the spicy version wasn't too spicy.
The cashier was super nice. I ordered the chicken katsu curry, non-spicy. However, the curry was a bit too sweet for me and I should have gotten the spicy version. I was reminded of brown gravy. The chicken katsu was nicely breaded and hot though. Takoyaki was ok. I would come back to try another dish.
Solid sushi restaurant with a cool atmosphere. Food was pretty solid, liked the pork gyoza and naughty Toro roll. The Japanese old Fashion was very good too. Service was good and fun. There is seating inside and out, and a bar. Overall all good meal. Would come back again.
My favorite Japanese restaurant in town! Fresh and flavorful. Extensive menu at reasonable prices. Interesting interpretation of classic cocktails with a Japanese twist (may not be for everyone). Interacting with Chef Koji at the sushi bar will enhance the quality of the dining experience.
We visited EBESU because YELP rated this restaurant #18 in the state. The restaurant is elegant, modern, and spacious yet cozy. The sushi is very fresh, some of the best we’ve ever had. We arrived during happy hour so our table ordered a beer, a saki mojito, and bacon wrapped tomatoes and quail eggs for an appetizer. Our main dish was four sushi rolls; Spicy tuna, Spicy Dragon, Salmon avocado cucumber, and Yellowtail Avocado cucumber. The prices were very reasonable, even less than other sushi restaurants in the city. When I made a reservation on the restaurant’s website, I indicated that we were celebrating a family birthday. We received a complimentary piece of cake with ice cream and a candle to enjoy after our meal. That made the evening so special. According to the website, parties of 2 or less are limited to 1.5 hours and parties of 4 or less are limited to 1 hour and 45 minutes. I assume this is because the restaurant is not large and very popular. The website also asks you to indicate that you accept these terms. Diners who arrive more than 20 minutes late for their appointment will lose their reservation. Our reservation options were very early or very late. If you go, and I highly recommend this restaurant, try to make reservations at least a few days in advance.

Long story short, DO NOT GO HERE because the service is absolutely absurd!!!! If you do go here, you better double AND triple check your receipt because they will charge you for items you did NOT eat!!!!
Right off the bat, service was horrible. Throughout the night, the waitress was rude and lacked proper work ethic, but I blew it off because I just wanted to eat my sashimi and call it a day. But when I saw my receipt included multiple items on there that we did not eat, and it was wayyyy more than it was suppose to be….that was the cherry on top. The only reason why we did not leave this Yama location and go to the Legacy location is because by the time we would’ve gotten to the other spot, it would’ve been too late to dine in. But guess what, after we paid, we made a to-go order right when we got into our car to pick up at the Legacy location because this one didn’t even have the items we wanted - only Legacy offered the extended menu like the Chinese Delight selections. So if you want that, do NOT go here! Save your time and go to Yama on Legacy. You’ll get better food, more options, and great service. I hope the manager and waitress read this review because I surely told them they need to revisit their customer guidelines. I wish I could’ve recorded the conversation the waitress were having with my family and me. Straight up RUDE. Long story short, DO NOT GO HERE because the service is absolutely absurd!!!! If you do go here, you better double AND triple check your receipt because they will charge you for items you did NOT eat!!!!
Right off the bat, service was horrible. Throughout the night, the waitress was rude and lacked proper work ethic, but I blew it off because I just wanted to eat my sashimi and call it a day. But when I saw my receipt included multiple items on there that we did not eat, and it was wayyyy more than it was suppose to be….that was the cherry on top. The only reason why we did not leave this Yama location and go to the Legacy location is because by the time we would’ve gotten to the other spot, it would’ve been too late to dine in. But guess what, after we paid, we made a to-go order right when we got into our car to pick up at the Legacy location because this one didn’t even have the items we wanted - only Legacy offered the extended menu like the Chinese Delight selections. So if you want that, do NOT go here! Save your time and go to Yama on Legacy. You’ll get better food, more options, and great service. I hope the manager and waitress read this review because I surely told them they need to revisit their customer guidelines. I wish I could’ve recorded the conversation the waitress were having with my family and me. Straight up RUDE. This was a great experience and a lot of fun. We have never been to a Japanese restaurant before and had a couple of friends accompany us who are regulars. That really helped us in figuring out what we should order. We ordered a variety of sea food small plates and sake. Everything was delicious and I'm looking forward to going back!
No complaints. Reserved a table on their website, was seated immediately. Authentic Japanese experience, except for the lack of physical paper menus. Even the restroom has a bidet, for those who would like to be extra clean. Crunchy spicy avocado roll was delicious. Shrimp tempura roll was fine. I tried to order the healthier, cooked rolls options, and there aren't that many to choose from, but I'm happy with what I did get.

This place it’s not what it used to be anymore. The service was terrible. I ordered the chicken katsu don and asked why it didn’t have the eggs like the picture (as it used to be). They said you need to pay extra if you want more eggs.
Nice ambiance, very nice bar, fresh fishes, our server was knowledge about the menu which lead to our decision to get the amazing tuna flat bread. Super busy on a Tuesday but the food was promptly delivered. The beautifully presented and rich of flavor desserts sealed this great experience nicely.

The hibachi at Oki is flavorful and fresh. They also have sushi specials during lunch. The atmosphere is also nice and quiet, so you can easily converse with companions. I highly recommend!
Yesterday, on October 8th, my son took me to this sushi restaurant for my birthday. I absolutely love this place; the service is excellent, and the food is phenomenal! I would give it more than 5 stars, and I even received a dessert as a birthday treat.
My first visit! Love the Rice-less or No Rice Roll Options! Super large portions. Fresh & Delicious and beautifully presented even in my take out boxes. I ordered 2 rolls. The Tokyo Flower & Samurai Rolls. I made 3 meals from these two rolls! I will be a regular customer.

Service: the servers just couldn't keep up with the small crowd that was there. It also took quite a bit of time before our food came out. I recommend a wider range of liquor like the other Yama locations because the selection was very limited (less than an open bar at a cheap wedding).

-caterpillar roll (green one): This was quite mediocre compared to other places. I didn't hate it, but I wouldn't order it again.

-Volcano roll: my favorite 5* however it is rich and you will want another roll to offset it.

Customer service 10/10. I had no idea what to order and the kind man working the register recommended me their hibachi plate and I was not disappointed! Oh, and did I mention the food is even better! Very fairly priced for the high quality that it is. The salmon sushi was indistinguishable from a high grade sushi shop! I’ll definitely be visiting here again

EAT HERE! So good I'm posting this before I have even finished my dinner. Got the Chicken Teriyaki where the freshest chicken breast was used and cooked to perfection. The sushi roll is the Red Cannon roll and although said spicy was the perfect amount for a spicy roll. Absolutely do not pass this place up. Terrific spot I found travelling for business and will always show my business when I am in town. Thank you Uni chefs and staff!
Authentic izakaya food. Sushi was fresh and the sashimi salad was refreshing. Chicken karage was crispy and juicy. I wish they pan fried the onigiri instead of grilling them.
01/06/2024 update: as my husband and I enjoy RA sushi, we go there to celebrate all our big and small accomplishments. Our experience here Thursday evening was AMAZING! We were greeted as we walked in, got seated, and then that’s when Husam (Sam) came to introduce himself to us. Such a sweet guy with a sweet smile and very friendly attitude. We genuinely enjoyed our night and JUST for this experience we decided to give this location the 5 stars it deserves. Thank you for making our evening Hussam. We will be back. ♥️

We really enjoyed our lunch at Oki Japanese grill! The menu and signs, all over the place, are a little overwhelming, especially since it all looks delicious! It took us a few minutes to figure out exactly how/what to order, but that's also because they have so many choices.
The main choices that you have for your meal are; a sushi roll, hibachi or teriyaki, or a noodle bowl. Plus, they have a HUGE selection of sushi including some special ones that you will only find at their restaurant.
We each had a hibachi bowl, one with shrimp and one with beef, both with fried rice. We also shared a sushi roll which was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the sunshine roll. Everything else looks so delicious, we will definitely be back. We did notice that they had a 2 for $10 lunch special. But we didn't take advantage of that because we wanted to try some of the bigger dishes.

The food looks exactly like their photos. Taste even better. Yakitori is a must. Karage is amazing too.

Quite disappointing to see a business going downhill this quickly.

I have been to almost all of the Yama locations and they never disappoint! I would highly recommend them and the service is great too! The prices are pretty fair as well and they stay open until 2 am!
Hands down my favorite sushi spot of all time. Been going here for almost 2 years and it’s just kinda the spot where if ya know, you know. Huge delicious rolls, ingredients always high quality and super fresh, and with the presentation and flair that you’d normally see at a restaurant twice the price. This place is a gem and if you like sushi, you simply must try it.
Out of all the food stands at Mitsuwa, Matsui is my favorite. I've been eating here since we first moved down to Dallas in 2019, and the quality hasn't changed. COVID-19 made a lot of the stands close down at Mitsuwa, but Matsui stayed strong during that time.

I don't think their prices increased much in the last 3 years, which is why I still love to eat here. I usually get a small pork katsu don combo, and it comes with either cold soba noodles or hot udon soup. The price is like $13 after taxes and I have a bit of leftovers to take home. If you want some curry, get it on the side for $3. Ours came in a pretty big bowl and it was enough to feed 3 people. Overall, this is definitely one of the more solid spots in Mitsuwa if you want to dine at the food court.

what's not to love about a ramen place!! all servers were very friendly. it has a really cute, intimate atmosphere due to the size of the interior. the potatoe croquet was reallyyyy good! I got the spicy miso ramen and was so full upon finishing my dish. I would definitely return here again if / when in the area.

This place is underrated because it’s delicious. A little bit pricey but worth it. This is a hidden gem. We are exploring Dallas and looking for some good eat so definitely recommend
Went here for 1/2 price sushi on Sunday. Yes 1/2 price sushi!! Just keep in mind it is a select menu you can choose from on Sundays for the 1/2 price. We also ordered chicken lo mein to go with our sushi for two. Sushi was very well made and tasted fantastic. The lo mein had lots of flavor and liked the great mix of veggies inside the dish. Service was pleasant enough. Will definately come back!!
The curry sauce was good and it was a good central piece of the whole meal. It had typical Japanese curry flavors. The rice was rice but it did a good job soaking up the savory curry. The katsu chicken had a nice panko crust and was simple like it should be to complement the curry.
The takoyaki was okay at best. You’re better off passing on it. The sauce and bonito flakes had more flavor than the octopus balls.
Fyi. There is a exhibit with model dishes next to where you order to get an idea how your dish will look. It helps a lot. (Yes mine looked like the model)

First time experience. With a vegetarian member of the family, this probably wasn't the best choice. The service was fantastic. They really tried their best to add little extra vegetables and tofu. I was very thankful for them trying. It was interesting and different. The food was good. Since I'm not the greatest cook and you have to cook the food yourself, I probably didn't do the best on the udon. Vegetables were good and fresh-ish. They do put them in the fridge ahead of time, so I can see some people complain about that. Got some cooked tofu thing(?) and it was really good. I recommend everyone giving this experience and place a try. With non-meat eaters, it may not be the best choice. Cool place with great service and we'll probably be back again. Thanks.
I got pork katsu don bowl and the boyfriend got the chicken katsu don bowl. The chicken one was better. The meats tasted great on both, and the rice tasted fresh. The miso soup was alright, but the tofu inside it was really small.
We went tonight for my hubby's birthday. Nice, relaxing atmosphere. The sushi was very good/ fresh and the sizzling dumplings were tasty too!! We had a Shrimp tempura roll, Red Cannon roll and a Philadelphia roll. The Korean ribs were not my favorite. That doesn't mean other people wouldn't enjoy them, I just personally didn't enjoy the overall flavor of the meat/sauce. Something about it tasted off. The staff was very nice and attentive. We would go back.
For the price they were selling at I couldn't resist on grabbing a few dishes ! The eel was silky with the sauce on the rice made an excellent app. The skewers were either pork cheek or belly I forgot . The chicken curry dishes came out super on point. Def coming back when I'm in Plano !

My sister and I got a couple rolls, soft shell crab, some nigiri, chirashi bowl and smoked salmon tartare. Everything was delicious and huge!! The chirashi bowl looks exactly like the photos that I saw on Google, which is why I wanted it. The rolls were big and filling, and the nigiri has the perfect amount of rice-to-fish ratio. The salmon and octopus were really tasty too!

I wished I lived a little closer to this place because I’d eat here once a week! Talk about great customer service and delicious food! We dined in on a Friday night. Eating area was a bit small and they were busy with a lot of pick orders. We waited about 15 min for ours but it was worth it. The cook even came out and made sure everything was okay. So nice! Definitely check this place out!
Every dish I've tried here is delicious! There's many options for authentic Japanese food, and although I haven't tried them yet there are also several Chinese dishes on the menu as well.

Wifey and I went here for the first time since moving to Downtown Plano (DTP) and we were pleasantly surprised. Great service and a leisurely pace for dinner. We ordered the sizzling dumplings for a starter and holy moly! Sooo good. The wife doesn't do sushi so she ordered the Bulgogi dinner and it was awesome. I ordered the Philly roll and the JC roll. Both were well prepared and super tasty. I'm pretty sure every table around us also ordered the JC Roll. Seems popular. We will definitely be back and bonus we can get it all to go if we want a fancy dinner in.
