Waited an hour for our food. We asked repeatedly and they said the kitchen was busy but it was coming “soon”. After 40 minutes they realised they forgot to send the order to the kitchen. They didn’t even apologise. To top it off the toilet was broken. Avoid.

Visited broadbeach gold coast hwy. not authentic japanese food. The "mayo" was a jelly subtance i thought was going to be atleast kewpie. The katsu chicken was the thinnest slice of chicken it was mainly crumbs. The rice was clumps i couldn't break it apart. Im assuming the previous were japanese and its been sold onto new owners that are not japanese?

Fake Japanese food prepared by all Phillipino staff. I waited over 20 minutes. When many people who ordered after me had already been given their food I asked what the problem was & was informed it was because I ordered 2 meals. At that point I demanded my money back & left. Very disappointing, poor service. I do not recommend, especially if you are ordering more than one meal apparently...
I visited Sushi Train in Broadbeach, Gold Coast around 8 PM to pick up an order, and the front staff was extremely rude. The lady at the counter told me to wait outside in a very unkind manner. I was simply there to pick up an order and expected basic respect. A friend experienced similar treatment a few months ago. I won’t be accepting pickups from Sushi Train Broadbeach again and wouldn’t recommend it to other drivers. Please treat everyone with dignity.

Inexpensive, quick and simple meals. We were there before 6pm, our 4 dishes came out quickly. The ebi prawn katsu was delicious, as was the teriyaki chicken! For the price you pay, don't expect large servings.
So hungry I was, with my stomach feeling torn. With haste I decided on the prawn. My wife looked at me and said “what’s the matter?” With grimace on my face I replied “all I got was batter”
Loved it. Best service, they're so friendly and it was our first time so they gave us a rundown. They constantly kept the conveyer belt stacked with various sushi. A great selection of stuff. And then they add everything up and payments super easy. I'll have to try out more sushi trains although this will be hard to beat. Every seat was full, the minute a table is free a group would walk in like clockwork. It was amazing.

Great find off the main strip. Beautiful fresh sushi, friendly staff and the line is worth the wait. Go in to collect your ticket number and let them know how many people you have. Always my favourite style of eating as a single person.
Lovely staff, great service, and really nice food. Normally a line outside in peak times, but goes quick and they give you a number. Standard pricing for a sushi train - cheapest dishes on the train is about $4. Would go again any day, and highly recommend!

Cheap Japanese place to eat. We got some udon and not bad. The soup was tasty and not too salty. The udon noodle was chewy. The place is not too clean I guessed because they used too many plastic boxes, as some customers could still have options to eat in takeaway boxes when they sat in the restaurants, and the dirty tables were not cleaned properly. I got them 4 star because the portion was good enough to eat and the price was great.

A small conveyor belt sushi restaurant. The portions are huge! Difficult for a one biter, but good value. You can also order via a QR for drinks and hot items.

I used to love this place back when it was located in the old Plaza building. After years of being overseas and coming back to try it - I was a little underwhelmed. Portions are ok, but something was missing. The chicken tastes a lot tougher the last time I ordered and the pricing has obviously increased. It was a lot better value for money from what I remember.

It’s definitely still a tasty meal deal (Teriyaki chicken, rice and salad) but I won’t be in a hurry to go back unfortunately. 3.5 stars!

Decent food (3*) at very good prices (+1*). I certainly don't understand the reviews going on about how magnificent the Teriyaki Chicken is. In my opinion, there is really nothing special about it - tastes and looks like respectable canteen food.
Expect to wait for a while for a place to seat during peak hours. The food taste fresh with average size portions. One of the chef selection was not exciting, so don't rely on their suggestion. I had 7 plates of various sushi before calling it quits. Total damage, AUS35. A little bit expensive but a good place to go if you are not too hungry.
